  1. Fantastic review with beautiful pictures. Don't be offended by the lack of comments my friend. If It's not a Rolex sub/GMT...or maybe a Panerai....people are just not Interested. If this would have been a sub review we most likely would be on page 20 by now.

Personally I like Oris watches. They are reasonably priced good looking divers. I have always liked this coke type bezel version. 'I'm a big fan of big chunky divers. So I like your Oris Titan very much.

Thanks for taking the time to do this outstanding review. :)

  2. hi Mike! I'm lost here, I was member from january 2008 and VIP with 1000's of points and post and now looks like I'm new here. Do you know who's the guy to ask for? Thanks in advance. K

Why not start a thread about your situation. I'm sure a crew member or admin will do what they can. Good luck kokito. :)

  3. [censored] in a meat grinder....!!   I bet you are a barrel of laughs on a Saturday night Mike!!  ;)

But the analogy is off mate.... because the consequence of the actions isnt as drastic... and to assume common sense in anyone is a fatal mistake to make ;)

Thankfully common sense does prevail here generally but more by luck than judgement ;)

We will never escape the guys who see this hobby as some sort of ego trip or justify their posts on gen forums as educational or experimental to underline a lack of gen knowledge etc..

I think before this one it was a rep 390 I saw posted up on the gen forum as a "gift.." blah blah...

The answer to these sorts of guys is ....

There aint one... you cant spot them till the horse has bolted.... so to speak...

But there is a case for some way to ensure new members are encouraged to read the introduction threads and learn to get round the place... that I believe is our responsibility as a community... maybe in our responses to first posts or introduction posts etc... I aint sure...

Maybe there is an arguement for cloaking thsi site in a more effective way... who knows..I am sure its has been discussed before..

And I am sure all of you will agree dispite the need for RWG to be out there...there is an increased interest in these sorts of sites and the info they contain which could very well ensure its demise in the current climate of anti-counterfeiting measures...

At the moment I am sure this site and others has been and is more so now being used as a source of info and intel for interested parties especially as some particular brands in rep terms become better and more accurate...

Though regardless of this particular issue I still get more annoyed at the guys who join on here post thier first thread about where and what  is the best and most accurate and then trot off to order get disappointed because the service isnt the same as buying from a high street shop and then decide to make waves through PP claims... declarations of scamming and all the other ..or that the watch isnt as perfect as it should and isnt a 100% gen like and decide they want a refund..blah blah !!

And then theres the QC pics...and the threads and PMs .... Grrrrrr!!

    :)

Well Pete....then I guess we have to agree to disagree. :)  The meat grinder thing Is on friday nights btw. ;)

  4. Thanks Mike.

I have one on the way and can't wait till it gets here (looks to take for ever :bangin: ).

It will be a bugger for me if the lume is not super lume. As I am a lume guy this is very importand for me.

The lume Is good It's just not a torch. I don't think you will have a Issue with It. Before I went Into the neighborhood pub the other night I charged the dial. I have automatic HID headlights on my car. I stood In front of those head lights for about a min or so. The watch had a nice glow all night.

It's a very well made watch Dutch. I can't Imagine you being disapointed. Let us know know your thoughts when you get your SW. :)

  5. Found it!  It was next to the BBQ tongs.

Which makes me wonder what it is, exactly, that we've been grilling up this last week?

I give props to Ken for his healthy good fortune. But don't you think a wee bit of manscaping might be In order. :D Oh what the hell....enough of this manscaping [censored]. Props to you Ken for letting "It" all hang out.

  6. Now that I have had the watch for a little over three months.. I thought I would give a quick update.

First of all I love my SW....one of the best reps that I have ever had. The 2836 Is keeping excellemt time. At first It was running a bit fast....maybe 20 secs. But the more I wear It the better the time keeping. I would say It's around 10-8 secs fast per 24 hrs. So I'm very happy with the movement.

The only two minor Issues that I had were a loose clasp that was a $5.00 fix and a overly tight bezel. A quick shot under the bezel with some WD40 fixed that Issue. The bracelet is very gen like. I have had two gens on my wrist recently and I can not tell the difference between the feel weight or look. It has a very nice ballance on the wrist. I have already had a few complements about the watch. It seems people just love that yellow dial. :) The women who cuts my hair Is ording one for her husbands birthday. We had to have a little chat about reps first. ;)

My only real disapointment is with the lume. It's not bad and I can go Into dark bars or whatever and see the glow of the dial. But It's not super lume. It's decent lume but not the super lume as advertised. I don't need a torch on my wrist so I'm going to leave good alone for now. Good lume not great lume. The bezel Is not quite as smooth as the gens...but It's close and looks very good Imo. The overall watch Is really really nice. I like It so much that I just might pick up a graphite dial.

For those who are still on the fence. Remember these disappeared for a long time. Just something to keep In mind. In a little over three months almost 5.500 views of this thread alone. I don't know how many of those people have purched the SW....but my guess the number Is high. A very well made rep Imho.

    Mike
