  1. A man who is determined to cause harm to another would be able to do so, firearms or not.

A gun simply makes it much easier for the man (or woman) to carry out the killing.

Some form of firearms control is good, but what is even more important is identifying and controlling those who are apt to kill just for the hell of it.

A gun on its own cannot cause any harm. Its always the man behind the trigger.

Well said A. People In this country kill by arson all the time. Ever see what a couple of well placed pipe bombs can do to a house or any other structure. How about a maniac welding a machete. Chop chop mf. How about people who drive through crowds of people with the Intention of killing or Injuring as many as they can. Many examples of these types of things happening everyday.

I do agree that the average person does not need a assault weapon. AK 47 for example But a revolver or a semi automatic hand gun should be afforded to any law abiding American citizen. If you choose not to have one to protect you and your family....fine. But there are these new Inventions called safes that will secure your guns from children or anyone else who might like to gain access to them. This Is called being a responsible.

I also might add that the video I posted Is misleading. I did not do my due diligence before posting that video. I believe that there was this mass shooting In Australia  back In 1993. Since the ban on assault weapons there have been no other mass killings there. As far as I know. But will they now come after your hand guns? Are you 100% sure about that Issue.?

I guess we can ban knives gas/petrol cars planes etc. How about fire In general. That's It...lets ban fire. No fire no arson that kills many all the time.

To put It nicely  "Don't tread on me" :nono:

  2. If someone wants to break into my house and murder me, I guess they can go right ahead. In the meantime the rest of my family, my neighbours, and my friends will be safe because I don't have a stockpile of guns for them to accidentally shoot each other with (see my last post with links to the plethora of accidental shootings that happen on a weekly basis)

That would be your choice. I just wonder If your family were hurt, raped or killed.....and I truly hope nothing like that ever happens. But If It did and you survived....I wonder how you would feel. If you had the opportunity to save them and did nothing but tell everyone how safe everyone around you were since you had no gun to protect those loved ones.

There's a lot of bad people out there doing a lot of bad things.  But again....your choice.

  3. Let's look at a larger picture please. Yes, Chicago has strict gun laws, but it's smack dab in the middle of the United States of Guns. If there are less guns then their are less guns that can be used to kill someone. There is one really important statistic that you cannot overlook.

Per Capita civilian gun ownership in the United States is the highest in the world (not the developed world, the whole damn thing) They are in the top 10 countries in the world for gun related fatalities. Do you know what countries are not in the top 10? Glad you asked, because I am going to tell you- Not a single developed, first world country sits in the top ten with the United States.

There are other developed nations that are high on the list (about 1/3 the rate of gun deaths as the USA in Switzerland, dropping sharply to about than1/5 in Canada) What puts countries like Canada, Switzerland, Germany, France, Finland at 1-4 gun deaths/100,000 people? They all have really high gun ownership.

Who's at the bottom of both lists?

    Japan (0.07 Deaths/100,000 - 0.6 Guns/Person)

    Singapore (0.24 Deaths/100,000 - 0.5 Guns/Person)

    South Korea (0.13 Deaths/100,000 - 1.1 Guns/Person)

These are not outlyers, the united states is not some exception to the rule, it is the rule. More guns = More gun deaths. This is simple math, very simple math. You can't kill someone with a gun if you don't have a gun to kill them with and if you don't have a gun to kill someone with, you are far less likely to kill someone!

Tell that to the evil mother [censored] who break Into your home and have very bad Intentions for you and your family. I'm sure they well be very Impressed with your stats. FYI many home security systems can be defeated by cutting a few wires on outside boxes. Much Information available on this topic alone.

    Good luck.

  4. If the gun lovers would care to take a loock over the fence to other civilized continents like Europe or Asia they would probably redo their phoney math. It is a cultural thing that won't change from one day to the next by taking guns away. But in the long run banning guns will pay off. Not seeing this is completely stubborn and unresaonable. Like having no speed limit on German highways. I would not like it as love driving fast but not seeing that this kills people and doesn't really make sense is nothing but immature.

Germany's autobahn which for the most part has no speed limit has less vehicle fatalities and accidents In general than on the US highways.

  5. I refused to debate gun laws at the time of the tragic slaughter of 28 people In Connecticut last month. Most of them were children. I said that could be a discussion for another day.

I won't debate this Issue today. I am a law abiding gun owner who has several guns. I strongly believe that I have the right to protect my home and the family who lives In It. I also enjoy target shooting.

I suggest you watch the video and draw your own conclusion(s) Lets keep the comments civil and play nice or they will most likely lock this MF down. Right Nanuq? ;)

  6. I purchased one about two years ago. I haven't been happy with It due to the recessed DW. As stated above...the pushers are off a bit also. If you like the PO buy the three hand. I promise you will be much happier with It. The recessed dw and [censored] up pushers of the chrono  just ruins the look of the entire watch Imo.

    This might help
