I found out about Andrew here at RWG. I took a few weeks and looked around and feel I have maid a wise decision. So take your time and check out some of the trusted dealers here. Love the meat Balls btw. ;) Good luck :pimp: Mike

  2. Hi guys,

Well just wanted to say hello. I have been interested in watches pretty much all my life I dont know why just find them fascinating I suppose. I took the usual route of buying my first reps off the beach in some far distant land, and usually the hands had fallen off buy the time I got on the plane home, then.....WOW...the Internet arrived and so did the SWISS replica websites, you know the ones that say that their cases are actually from the same swiss factory that makes the originals, the faces are hand crafted by blind Tibetan monks, and the saphire crystal is actually moon rock that has been polished to perfection by kittens, all for the bargain price of 50 quid less than an original.....!!!

So I got a bit more interested in getting my self a good one and have surfed the net looking at all types of sites from rep sellers to auction sites, and occasionally going into dealers to try the real deal on.

Not an expert by any means, but I like to think I know the difference between good and horrendous.

    Cheers

    Fram

Polished to perfection by kittens. I need to get one those. kitty labor lmao  welcome to RWG mike
  3. Hi everyone, this is my first post and I only discovered this site earlier today. I was recently on vacation in India and my cousin gave me a genuine Longines watch which has rekindled my fascination. I've never really done more than day-dream as the prices of the watches worth owning are too high. However, later that day after my cousin gave me the Longines I went to a market and saw a whole slew of replicas and they were so incredibly convincing to look at.

I ended up picking up a Montblanc Timewalker SS with black face w/ working chronograph and I spend lots of time just looking at it. I have a feeling the bug has bit me hard, so I wanted to learn more about this hobby and I'm so glad I found you guys.

I almost ordered a watch from exactreplicas.com, but decided to do as much digging on the internet as I could just in case it was a scam. I also sent an inquiry by email and no response so that put my guard up even higher.

Lo and behold I find them on your scam list, so even before becoming a member you have provided value. I will read as much as I can and "use the search function newbie" before asking any questions (I've read enough to figure that much out at least!).

I reside in Canada near Toronto and I see that there are quite a few fellow canucks here - perhaps one day I will join in on a local GTG.

    Anyways, there's my introduction.

wecome zztop, I'm also new here. my intro was yesterday. I'm from Detroit and we use to go to Toronto 2-3 times a year. We use to hang out on young St, it was a lot of fun. This site is the mother load, the infomation here is invaluable. I also almost bought a watch from exactreplicas. Did some research. OMG there is a complaint board.com with six pages of people who were riped off. :nono: Stick with the recomended dealers on RWG. :1a::good: Hope you enjoy your stay here :) Mike

  5. Hi all, I'm the new kid on the block. :p I cant tell you how happy I am that I found this place. :D This is the first fourm I have ever been a member. I started looking into rep watches about a month ago or so. I have always enjoyed and appreciated nice watches. I have a gen Omega auto circa(1970)my fathers watch.Still runs perfect. ^_^ I also have a tag formla1(1995) a sector no limits expander chrono (2002) and a Seiko/casio divers watches. Now that I have been bitten by the bug, I hope to expand my collection. Like I said, I started looking at rep about a month ago. I was so impressed at how great the reps looked. Maybe to good.So I began to do some research. At first I could not find to much info. Then I came across this old site. The most resent post 2005. WT?. The name of this site? RWG. This sites humble beginings??? Well I began to see that all was not what it apeared to be in the rep biz. Those watches I thought looked so good were pictures of the gen artical. The old RWG said dont go near a 10 10 watch. That was the begining, now here I am. Compared to most of the members here I know very little. Seems to me that a great deal of the people on this forem are experts or close to it. :o Im very impressed to say the least. Im just getting my feet wet, so i will take my time and get to know a little more as time go's by. I dont want to be a free loader ;) so i will upgrade my subscription soon :D Im gettig ready to buy my first rep from Andrew. The Omega PO CHRONO (quartz) . I had some ??? so I E-mailed Andrew and he got back to me whith in a few hours :clap2::clap3: I absolutley love this model. I know a lot of the members look down on quartz movement but I have found them to be very dependable and low maintance. (less expensive) I want to thank the members of this forum for all there input and knowledge. I will post again when I recieve my new watch. If anyone has any advice or sugestions please feel free. This place is the  Mike
