  1. I bought mine from King Watch 4yrs ago. Still working perfectly. It has an ETA movement. I think she still has them, not sure if the ETA is still used.
  2. Reset stopwatch hand to 12 oclock when it's just off. I know I've read this in here before, but can't seem to find it using search this time.
  3. My son in law has a Bergy "Armani" and is very happy.
  4. It's ok Lani, you can tell me now, can't wait until Thursday Ssshhh no one else will listen. Hey, it's already Thursday PM here in Australia....nope I guess that doesn't count. Oh well, guess I can wait 12 hours or so. Mike
  5. Welcome back, what was your first rep purchase? Pics? Mike
  6. I have a quartz PO Chrono and an automatic Aqua Terra (silver face, gold hands/markers). I'm always amazed at how classy the AT looks. And I wear it at work amongst others who wear gen Omegas etc, have never been called out.
  7. There used to be a champion squash player in Melbourne, Australia by the name of Mike Hunt. (No relation to Rexie for any other Melournians reading)
  8. I'm in Melbourne. Don't get interstate a lot but will be on the Gold Coast for a wedding early August. Hope it's not the same time as Kens 50th.
  9. My daughter picked this up for me in Malaysia a few months back. It has since just stopped working and the "pearl" has fallen out. Is it worth having the movement repaired/replaced and the pearl or bezel replaced? Was thinking of passing it on to my nephew if repairs are cost effective? Should I be looking at someone in particular from the forum to do this? Watch is 40mm with faux chronos. Probably a cheapy 21j chinese movement. Also received my new version of above from Reg today. Posted in Thailand Friday, arrived Melbourne, Australia Thursday. Great service and selection by Reg. VERY well packaged. Thanks mate. 45mm, nice pearl, great weight and colour. S/S Bracelet which will be replaced by a black leather/orange stitching band. Yes I know it's a quartz, but the price was right, and the Aus dollar is not so great at the moment. This one will make a flashier companion to my dressier Omega AT Automatic. Pics soon.
  10. A few pics of my home in Melbourne, Australia. Looking eastward towards the city. Taken around 20:00hrs on a summer night. Nikon D70 / 20mm lens/ Pano made up of around 8 or 9 separate images. Taken with a compact digital camera hanging from my kite line. Over the suburb or Williamstown. Westgate bridge in top right corner. Camera cradle visible in bottom left corner. Another pano. From Princess Bridge looking westward. Nikon D70 / 20mm lens/ Pano made up of around 8 or 9 separate images.
  11. Can we submit more than one image? Does the watch have to be a rep?
  12. Count me in, hope my new PO arrives in time.
  13. Thany you so much Francisco, I have been waiting for a review like this before laying down my hard earned readies. How was the cleanliness/lubrication on your movement?
  14. Thanks HELIAV8R, how does one obtain the $20 discount? So its not 45mm as mentioned on their web site?
  15. Does anyone know if there is a PO Chrono Quartz available with a correct date wheel. Andrew's has the black font on white b/g. BTW sent Andrew an email inquiring before posting this question, had a reply from him in less than 5 minutes. Well done Andrew !
  16. Given that this watch was going to become a "paper weight", i attempted the otherwise unthinkable. Gave it a good rap against a table top! I now have a rep that is running again.....perhaps it was lube/dust combination in the spring?
  17. That's what I though By-Tor, not a bad choice by someone who didn't really know what to look for. As long as you ignore the date window and the non functioning sub dials. She only knew that dad often carries on about some "orange watch with dials on it". The rotor seems to move as per my King Seamaster AT and the second hand is fully dead. "Shake rattle and roll" has no effect. No result from hand winding. It stopped working when I was resetting the time.
  18. My daughter has returned from Malaysia with a not bad looking PO Chrono with a chinese 21J movement. It has been running ok for over a week, now today when I was adjusting the time it just stopped working completely. Having said all that, it was only a cheapy...under US$65 Any thoughts/ideas?
  19. As the happy owner of a Seamaster AT from King, I appreciate the difference between a quality rep and an "el cheapo". However.... .....my daughter picked this up in Kuala Lumpur as a gift for me. Just wondering what sort of movement this is? Probably Chinese cheapy. I realise the date wheel is soooo wrong and the subdials are not operable (as far as I can tell) but they are spaced pretty much as per the real thing. Having said all that....I love the look on my wrist, and luuuuv the fact that it's a gift from my little girl (as she will always be...even at 24). Size appears to be 42mm. So....what do we think of it other than the above? I think she paid less than AUS$100 (less than US$65).
  20. I'm looking for a link or two for this Ladies DeVille rep if anyone has a spare or two floating around?\
  21. Ken, Try this...it actually works. http://www.flickr.com/photos/felixtcat/428...57600011506746/ Cheers, Mike
  22. Hi Logan, I'm chasing Season 6, eps 18 to 21. Not having any luck with my Bearshare d/l's for some reason just now. Where are you located? I'm in Australia. I have a list of movies/tv I can send if you'd like to trade. Cheers, Mike.
  23. Looking for a nice ladies rep. Something in gold finish, round face, not Roman numerals. Not too blingy. Any suggestions welcomed.
