Fantastic looking watch. Pity you didn't change the datewheel while you had it in bits. It's the only big tell left.

I've bought about 11 reps since late last year with no problems so far.

This watch seems to get a lot of praises and no disrespect to Narikaa but when I was looking for a 42mm PO there were a few flaws with this watch that just put me off. The one flaw that doesn't bother me too much like yourself was the bezel. These are the flaws I could not put up with. Firstly case. The case is not the same shape as the gen which results in the crown recess being wrong and the watch looking too slim on the right side. Rep Gen The date window The rep is in the position as the gen 45mm version, too far over to the centre. Rep Gen The HE valve The HE valve looks huge compared to the gen. Rep Gen All of these niggles are not there in other versions of this rep. As I said above I wanted to buy one of these from Narikaa initially, but just ended up buying one of his rubber PO straps to put on a version I got elsewhere.

I'm in the same boat and I've read that 2mm original bars will do the job?

Anybody else noticed that the hands are slightly longer and the CG's opening is slightly wider at the base on the latest "Red" version ?

I had a 21J 42mm PO and decided to put it back together with parts I had lying around. I had a movement from a SMP GMT so decided to put that in, I also swapped the bezel insert from the GMT. Unfortunately my Cam is bust at the moment so can't take any pics, however is looks superb. It may become my daily wearer.

How do we know that many of the used watches on the market are not 100% 1:1 reps ? They have the ability and technology to do so. If one person can produce an item then somebody else with as much skill can do the same. Keep the slightly flawed reps as the usual bread and butter items.

If you get stuck I've got a decent dial that will go straight on your 21J and has a fairly decent lume.

Can you buy seperate parts from silix then ? Are they listed or do you have to contact him ?

It just sits slightly high mithout mods.

The rep is flat (on the reps I have anyway and the gen replacement has a raised lip in the centre, similar to what people have had to sand down doing the PO bezels.

OK so I am on with building my new Ultimate SMP which will be for sale once completed. So I am asking which Style from the following should I build.

Would it bother you if the HE valve was fixed rather than unscrewable as long as it was in the correct position ?

Looking good. I'm currently modding my new SMP. Do you know the Ofrei part numbers for the crown and tube at all ?

Nothing can be done about the sunken datewheel. At least the Omega logo's look good. Doesn't look like clown feet ?
