  1. Spoke to Josh yesterday about incoming AP's and he said that the terminator will be first to come out. This week.

Why is this cheaper than the normal sec@12 though? is it not that accurate?

Probably he just haven't updated the price

Comments please from those familiar with T3.

The only discrepancies I noticed was the wrong subdial color in the white one.

  2. He said the same thing to me .

Probably more of an inventory issue though, I suspect. I heard there were other inaccurancies and the 12 O'clock will undoubtedly be over $560.

Its a lot of money to pay for a fake / replica - hopwever accurate it is still a fake and nowheree near as good a the original - this is a 60K watch...

    $80 k, (http://cgi.ebay.com/Audemars-Piguet-Royal-Oak-Offshore-Barrichello-II-RG_W0QQitemZ190258461499QQihZ009QQcategoryZ31387QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksi

The $560 AP ROO is as good as the gen though (most of it), lets hope the same for RB2. :D

  3. When they released the RB, movt @12 was not out yet.

I mean since they already have a decent case, the correct dial too, and now, the correct movt, it shouldn't be too much work for them to put it together and just replace the movement.

In fact, Josh did tell me not go get the RB movt @9 in January because he said a better version will come.

  4. I will post pics if I can find my camera. Forgot where I put it.

Rubber is fine, solid. I tried it on with my jacket and no peeling whatsoever. But it is only my first day, so we'll have to wait and see about the durability. But it looks great. I have a gen actually, one of them close to this one is steel black dial leather and I can't find any difference in quality, weight etc. Kinda regret spending close to $20k. Oh well..

I have received 7 watches this week, expecting 3 more tomorrow hopefully. Most of them are priced close to the AP ROO. I have had to return 2 watches so far. The rest is fine.

    Good luck with yours.

  5. Did you try shaking it? Automatics work based on movement.

Firm but not too firm, look for the 12 oclock sudial to start moving and you are good to go.

Crown if it does not push all the way back in, screw the rest of it in.

    Cheers,

    M

Yes I tried it. I am familiar with auto and also manual wind watches.

I received 3 watches, the other 2 watch works fine. I am just not too sure that I put the crown back correctly

  6. i think first you have to ask yourself "why the gen costs 40k$"

    :)

    easy..marketting... :)

I think the gen AP ROO is not worth the money. $20k just for a basic chrono SS? hahaha..

That is why I buy the rep, and can spend the money on another watch.. :D

For $30k, i can get a gold annual calendar patek. For Just over $40k , the perpentual calendar.

  7. There has been NO exact replica of a high-end watch on a 1st generation rep!

The dewitt academia looks pretty good first time out.

Im not saying it cant be true. Im just saying that it does not make sense to me.

The gen costs almost 67 times than the rep (gen: $40k, rep $600). I think we cant expect the same attention to details as the gen.

Anyway..Anyone getting this AP? Im thinking of getting one. Trouble is: I just bought the SS rubber bezel. I still haven't received it in fact. :)

  8. While there is a possibility that the flaws are put there on purpose. I somehow disagree with the statement. If they can make a perfect version from the beginning, why wouldn't they?

It does not make business sense at all. It would save them the effort to have to fix it later and they can move on to copy another version.

Believe me. There are more than enough AP models for them to copy. I think it is just not possible to have the same detailing in a $600 watch as the gen, which is $35-40k.

Currently, there are now 39 variations of AP ROO Limited editions alone and 32 variations of the 'standard' AP ROO. Total of 71 variations. (from www.luxury-bazaar.com)

Most of the it are just variations of materials and style of one model to another.
