  1. Yes. Josh has 2 versions. The one with the subdial ring is the first one that came out, the dial is also inaccurate visually (the grey dial is much lighter). I bought that one. Josh then updated the dial to become the correct darker grey. I had Josh update my watch(the light grey) to the correct grey dial. Mine was: http://www.jpc8118.com/aap10051-royal-chronograph-rgle-grey-a7750-sec12-p-5742.html Mine now looks like : http://www.jpc8118.com/aap10052-royal-chronograph-rgru-grey-a7750-sec12-p-5743.html <---- Correct one
  2. I believe they will make the sec at 12 version. If they can make the sec at 9 version, I think it is safe to assume they will make the sec at 12. All the sec at 9 models have been made available in sec at 12.
  3. What a beauty. Congratulation I just send mine back for a dial upgrade.. I had the light grey version, the first version..
  4. I think it would look different... Anyway, I hope the makers will rep the forged carbon because I truly believe that forged carbon is the future for AP ROO's. And if the factories can make the carbon, let's hope they make the alinghi...
  5. I don't think this model will be released (or at least anytime soon). This watch uses forged carbon case and bezel.
  6. I think his is a rep band. If you want to see a gen band, find a thread from apollo about his volcano on gen strap. () Regarding the movement, The Zigmeister said the configuration sec at 12 is fine as long as it is properly serviced. The main cause of failure is poor QC (dirty movement etc). I have been quite lucky as none of mine has stopped working, but I do not use them everyday with the exception of the volcano. Others might be a bit unlucky as there is a member here who bought 3 watches and they all stopped working. It is for you to decide if it is worth the risk. For me it is, because I know if it stopped working within a reasonable timeframe, the dealer will fix it for me.
  7. I think the rep hornbacks are fine,of course not comparable to gen, but not bad at all. Some members on RG actually have bought a strap from APbands and they said the quality of the strap is not worth the price ($350) compared to the rep strap. That is the reason I stick with rep hornbacks for the time being. I would highly suggest getting a gen (about $500) if you are concerned about the strap, definitely worth the extra $150 compared to APbands. I have not had any experience with HKtan but from what I saw, they were pretty good.
  8. Yes I know about that stupid serial number. But for me, a flaw at the back is far better compared to dial flaw where it can be seen by everyone.
  9. The dial is still in accurate on the Rose Gold Rubber Clad. Should be dark gray, not black. IMO, the old one is better because they are still gray even though they are too light. Somehow, I do not think bumblebee will be repped, because of the forged carbon it uses. If they knew how to make the carbon, they would have made alinghi already. But that is one fantastic piece and I hope they will rep it someday. Sachin is quite accurate. There is a member here who bought the sachin and they looked pretty good.
  10. Looks good to me. I tried comparing it again with gen and I can't seem to find anything wrong with the hands and numbers. The logo for me is no biggie...Who would stand that close to notice that logo? I'm waiting on mine too.... Thank you for posting..
  11. Did you know that Hongkong sold the most luxury watches in the world? I read it in a watch magazine not long ago. So it is no surprise that people are wearing good watches everywhere in HK. Same as in Singapore. In the states, chances of seeing a good watch are slimmer even in big cities like Chicago or NY. They would rather sport a huge bling bling full diamond watch. Don't know why.
  12. hmmm..Im not sure watchturbo is strapluxe... anyway..I've bought straps from strapluxe before and I am very happy.. Im about to get one from APbands but they are more expensive (almost $350, while gen is about $500)and I have been told that the hornbacks are not much better than the rep hornback.
  13. I believe so..I think he mentioned it in one of his earlier post
  14. No..the basic chronograph excalibur have 2 models..one with the two chrono pusher, another with three...all correct. From what I can see, the rep is spot on...subdial spacings perfect.. edit: subdial spacing not perfect but much better than easy diver
  15. I want to know if any of our modders here can do a plate modification for AP RB2. I know a member here has offered to do it for $1200 for a modified watch. but i would rather give it to a resident modder here if they can do it. Any suggestion?
  16. I like this model better: http://stylecrave.com/2009-06-22/audemars-...-forged-carbon/ Also just released not long ago...
  17. I just got myself the gold version in this watch. I am very interested in this watch but an extra $1000 for a modded plate is very expensive indeed. If it were 200-300 I would be the first on the list.
  18. Josh just released the AP RO perpetual. no chrono...don't know how accurate this is to gen though http://www.jpc8118.com/0023a-p-6037.html http://www.jpc8118.com/0023-p-6036.html
  19. Rep: http://www.timeshops.net/VC0487_-_Vacheron...2_2646-2445.htm Gen: http://www.prestigetime.com/item/Vacheron-...~000r-9342.html what do you guys think?
  20. I see..I found one on ebay around $125 but yours is by far better. I'll keep looking around..thank you
  21. Very beautiful. I am just about to order the white version. Now seriously reconsidering it for the black one. May I know where you get your gen box from? and how much? I am interested in getting one too. Thanks
  22. Very interesting...I hope they make a sec at 12 version of this one.
  23. of course..MSRP is also light years away. gen cost about 75 times of the rep. I think this rep is very close
  24. thank you for the pics..absolutely fantastic. Guys, What are the chances people will notice the gear? Also, the subdials appears to be silver, isn't it supposed to be white? IMHO, not many people have seen the RB and if they have seen one they might not noticed the gear. I don't think even owners will notice the gears. We are discussing a macro shot here, even if an owner hold it in his hand, IMO, he would not notice it. What do you guys think?
  25. The one we saw is not the sec@12. It is the sec@6, and it is quartz. Go to Josh's site, look in the Rubens barichello special edition and it should be at the bottom.
