  1. hmm..looks ok to me.. is it that visible? Gen http://images.marketplaceadvisor.channelad...e_t3_dark/3.jpg Rep http://www.jpc8118.com/0000000000ap00101-r...c12-p-5692.html
  2. Spoke to Josh yesterday about incoming AP's and he said that the terminator will be first to come out. This week. Why is this cheaper than the normal sec@12 though? is it not that accurate? Probably he just haven't updated the price Comments please from those familiar with T3. The only discrepancies I noticed was the wrong subdial color in the white one.
  3. you're right. i didn't notice the seconds..so is this one quite accurate then?
  4. Is this model close to gen? Also, I read somewhere that the tachymeter is white on his volcano (http://www.rwg.cc/members/AP-offshore-Volcano-t67605.html&hl=volcano) yours is black, which is correct. Is yours the updated version? Thanks
  5. $80 k, (http://cgi.ebay.com/Audemars-Piguet-Royal-Oak-Offshore-Barrichello-II-RG_W0QQitemZ190258461499QQihZ009QQcategoryZ31387QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksi dZp1713.m153.l1262) The $560 AP ROO is as good as the gen though (most of it), lets hope the same for RB2.
  6. When they released the RB, movt @12 was not out yet. I mean since they already have a decent case, the correct dial too, and now, the correct movt, it shouldn't be too much work for them to put it together and just replace the movement. In fact, Josh did tell me not go get the RB movt @9 in January because he said a better version will come.
  7. correct me of i'm wrong. But isn't the current RB (RG)edition quite accurate? apart from the second @9 No?
  8. I will..Lost my bloody camera..still cant find it. Anyway, Thanks to RWG (and RG too). But RWG is the first forum I found. Without this forum, I will not have these fantastic watches.
  9. I will post pics if I can find my camera. Forgot where I put it. Rubber is fine, solid. I tried it on with my jacket and no peeling whatsoever. But it is only my first day, so we'll have to wait and see about the durability. But it looks great. I have a gen actually, one of them close to this one is steel black dial leather and I can't find any difference in quality, weight etc. Kinda regret spending close to $20k. Oh well.. I have received 7 watches this week, expecting 3 more tomorrow hopefully. Most of them are priced close to the AP ROO. I have had to return 2 watches so far. The rest is fine. Good luck with yours.
  10. LO and behold...It works now.. However, the crown is very hard to pull to adjust date and minute. Any advice?
  11. Yes I tried it. I am familiar with auto and also manual wind watches. I received 3 watches, the other 2 watch works fine. I am just not too sure that I put the crown back correctly
  12. Hi, I just got my AP ROO rubber bezel today. I pulled the crown to change the date and the time. I put it back in, it wont start. How do I put the crown back correctly? Do I screw it back in or just push it in? Is it DOA? Thank you for your help.
  13. Great review. Thanks so much. I purchased this watch (RG) during the CNY and still waiting delivery.
  14. Yes. But they do get discounts. I dont think anybody is paying full MSRP for this. This is not the limited editions. A friend of mine bought his for about $18k last year. Might be able to haggle even more considering the US economies.
  15. easy..marketting... I think the gen AP ROO is not worth the money. $20k just for a basic chrono SS? hahaha.. That is why I buy the rep, and can spend the money on another watch.. For $30k, i can get a gold annual calendar patek. For Just over $40k , the perpentual calendar.
  16. I have rubber. black dial. I think we have the same watch.
  17. I just purchased mine too. When I asked josh about it. He said the current batch has been updated. Mine should be here tomorrow. We'll see.
  18. gotta be rolex and tag. Patek is also very well known, albeit in different crowds.
  19. The dewitt academia looks pretty good first time out. Im not saying it cant be true. Im just saying that it does not make sense to me. The gen costs almost 67 times than the rep (gen: $40k, rep $600). I think we cant expect the same attention to details as the gen. Anyway..Anyone getting this AP? Im thinking of getting one. Trouble is: I just bought the SS rubber bezel. I still haven't received it in fact.
  20. It might be just the pics. We wont know until someone has bought it and see it in person. Gen : http://luxurybazaar.com/timepieces/images/...3fc09e079e0.jpg Another: http://images.marketplaceadvisor.channelad...rose_gold/1.jpg The first pic is kind like Josh's. The second pic is from another website. The 'AP' is white as supposed to dark grey from the 1st dealer.
  21. While there is a possibility that the flaws are put there on purpose. I somehow disagree with the statement. If they can make a perfect version from the beginning, why wouldn't they? It does not make business sense at all. It would save them the effort to have to fix it later and they can move on to copy another version. Believe me. There are more than enough AP models for them to copy. I think it is just not possible to have the same detailing in a $600 watch as the gen, which is $35-40k. Currently, there are now 39 variations of AP ROO Limited editions alone and 32 variations of the 'standard' AP ROO. Total of 71 variations. (from www.luxury-bazaar.com) Most of the it are just variations of materials and style of one model to another.
