This has to be the worst offender of them all. I'd say the majority of the watches on this site are one of two things. They're either pics of genuine watches marketed as reps for some crazy price like $50.00, or they are the cheesiest looking cracker jack reps advertised as authentic for $400.00 Has anyone ever bought a watch from that place and been pleased with what they've paid for? I've been looking for a pam 165 or 91 rep, but I have to say all the reps look nothing like the genuine. The lack of contrast in the band is consistent in all of them. Is it possible to give SS a darker, more brushed appereance, something closer to titanium? Maybe using some type of chemical, compound or even sand paper? Gennie: Reps: all the reps have the same band as a typical ss pam. Doesnt look anything like ti.

I was watching the movie the Rundown today and I saw that the Rock was wearing a Pam with a SS band. I think it was a luminor marina auto. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yeah thanks guys, I guess some things are more important than a replica watch. But I think I can count them on one hand.

Not to sound pretentious, but I think a big reason why I buy reps is to get the occasional " wow that's one hell of a time piece" comment. I think I speak for alot of us when I say that it makes you fell all giddy deep down inside. I've only had two brands; a Patek and a Rollie. The Patek comments were far and few in between. But when I got them, they were like" Damn guy, thats one hell of a watch." When I sport the Rollie of course you get more comments, much more well known brand to your average Joe. But its the, "Nice watch, is it real? Can I check it out?" kind of thing. No one wants to try on or dare question the authenticity of the Patek. At least its a rarity. I guess I'm looking for the best of both worlds. I'd like watch brand that is some what well known, but not too often replicated. Or at least not known to be replicated to the avergae person. I guess I want the same shock and awe as a Patek but more often. Any suggestions?

wow its been awhile i was on the old board awhile back where a picked up a couple pateks. since then one of them was stolen from me when i was robbed at gun point. fun times so anyways i think i need a replacement. it was a damn nice chronograph too. i even went out a bought a crocodile band for it. well at least on the bright side it wasn't like i lost out on $30k. Thank god for replicas!!!!!
