  1. Hey guys, just joined here a little while ago, did an intro in the supporter area but also wanted to say hi to the rest of the forum, particularly those that have already helped me out in my quest for some great watches! I look forward to posting here! I am eager to learn but a relative n00b in the rep world. I would like to share some pics of my collection: From left to right: | Gen Omega | Fantasy PAM rep | cheapie | Gen Byblos | fiddy rep | Gen Nautica | Gen Time's Italy | Fossil | Gen Invicta | Gen Armani | cheapie | Fossil | Closeups that I want to share...replacement pam reps will be posted when I get them in the mail! I am getting a 292 Black Seal PVD, a B&R 03-51 CF face (in the air this week) and next purchase will be a DSN 036 or 177. Here are the Zoomies..... 1970's vintage Gen Omega Seamaster Chrono Caliber 1040 Variant Mark III - Needs a new crystal bad...other than that, keeps amazing time... Time's Italy - Great new watch company, relatively well priced, automatic, keeps good time...very cool orange detail Gen Raymond Weil Saxo - Quartz, gorgeous dress watch with nice textured face. Stainless Gen Emporio Armani Chrono - Quartz Gen Invicta Lefty - Automatic...nice detail Gen Byblos - Quartz, brilliant faceted crystal....talk about bling! Tux watch... Pic of my broken fantasy CF pam that I am trying to find a crystal for This is what is on the way: (rep...for NOW, I just hate using the rep stock shots, they do no justice! ) Thanks for viewing, I look forward to being a contributing member! Mark
  2. I prefer Adamantium or maybe even the elusive Unobtainium. But that's just me, being a superhero and stuff.
  3. GOR-GEOUS! Is the dial grey or light green?
  4. On the case where it says TachymetRE, it should say TachymetER.
  5. Go to puretimewatch.com site and pick the watch you want...
  6. I'm a complete n00b but is there lume missing in the corners of a bunch of the ticks? the 1 in "12", the 1, the 2, the 5, 7 and 11? Is it supposed to be this way, or is it a "first coat" sorta thing that will be addressed? Your work looks fantastic and I am in no way trying to slight it, just trying to educate myself. Mark
  7. I know puretime does modding for an extra charge...cannon pin fix and superlume, $60 additional seems to be the typical mods. I just bought a Radiomir Black Seal today....
  8. Thanks for the help guys. What I HAVE ordered is the Radiomir Black Seal PVD and a strap from Red12 (zack) next week, as well as a GREAT Bell & Ross. I'll post pics as soon as they arrive. I am now thinking of a brown dial Marina Militaire 036, a 177 or a 111H....thoughts on those? Best source? I love the fiddy but it looks like the good ones are VERY hard to find....
  9. So puretime's mvt advertised is what I'll get? Is that correct to the fiddy? I will get it CP fixed and lumed. The fiddys for sale, how do they differ from the Puretime one I posted? As for Destro, I am left handed but wear watches on my left....I have a LH watch but I find the crown digs and is annoying. Which militaire in a RH non destro would you recommend? DSN still? I haven't had any luck getting in contact with him. Thank you kindly for helping this n00b
  10. Yeah see I spoke with Vacuum through email and he was happy to mod the one I get if I can't get one from Davidsen. Does Davidsen normally take this long to reply? Also which of the above 2 would you go for? What are the issues other than lume and cannon pin?
  11. Hey all, Just trying to figure out where I should get my fiddy from. Davidsen hasn't responded to my 2 emails or PM sent a week ago so I figured I'd go for one from the dealers... Here are 2 that I am trying to decide between...one from PureTime/ReplicaWatchShop and the other from Trusty Time.... The puretime fully modded from them comes to $318 vs TT's $378 for what looks to be the same watch and mods....thoughts? PT/RWS: http://www.puretimewatch.com/index.php?productID=225 TrustyTIme: http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...51ce04a35bb2d9d Also I have been strongly considering a Marina Militaire....any suggestions for which one and from who? Titanium.... Thanks everyone!
  12. My father has a Gen...I'll take a close look and point out the differences for ya! Nice buy!
  13. I dig the green, actually! Love the vintage strap! Nice work!
  14. This is the Fiddy I was thinking about: http://www.tt88time.com/index.php?main_pag...51ce04a35bb2d9d Thoughts? Please let me know where the measurements are taken to deduce the 47mm, I'd like to measure my current broken fiddy and make sure I get the right size. Thanks!! Also, if my CF one is terrible in terms of quality, can its face and hands be put in a better quality 44mm panerai rep?
  15. Yeah, I totally understand with the 1950, I have already contacted Davidsen to see about getting one of his quality ones. That is a good start, correct? With respect BACK () I just want to replace the glass on the CF one, I really like the watch and am not looking to make it look more real, just un-broken haha....the crown mod is to prevent it from opening on its own all the time. I am looking forward to the new 1950 and getting the CF one back in order! Hopefully Davidsen will chime in with his $0.02! Mark
  16. Where do I take measurements to find the size? If I measure the fiddy with a caliper on the front bezel edge to bezel edge, it's 47mm. Also my fiddy seems to work only when it is face down....as soon as I flip it over to put it on, it slows to a stop. Who/where should I get a good fiddy from? For the CF one, I've done some searching but how would I replace the crown myself? Is there a DIY? Where can I buy a T-48 crown? Should I put the crown from my bad fiddy onto the Carbon one and get a new fiddy? SO sorry for so many questions
  17. Hi all, this is my first post and I wanted to say I look forward to posting and being part of this community. I have a couple of Panerai replicas that I love but have a couple of issues with. First, my fantasy Panerai with a real Carbon Fibre face, Auto, CF strap with white stitching. I realize it is a fake model that was never made but I love it. Question 1 I dropped the watch face down today....resulting in the crystal cracking. Boooo! Where can I get replacements? How do I know what size the watch is...IE where do I take the measurement for the 44mm etc or whatever the watch is? Question 2 The crown latch is loose and always flops open, are there remedies/replacements for that problem? Question 3, my 1950 replica pictured below has stopped working. I am not sure if it's a hand wind or auto...I bought the watch 2 years ago and it stopped working 4 months later. I tried winding it but it went to the "end" of the wind and hasn't worked sisnce. I am not sure if it's worth it to try and fix it or if it's even a quality replica. I have enclosed pics of it as well. I hope you can help me, I love my watches! Any tips on modding them (if possible) making them look more correct etc is appreciated!
