Thanks for the help, Pugwash. You sound like a lot of things.
Wow

Everything I have received from Davidsen has been excellent quality and shipped very quickly!
Now I'm waiting for a PAM 195 from him and next will be a destro, or maybe a base, or maybe a base destro, or maybe...
Top notch any way you slice it!!
-
I don't mean to hijack the thread, but surely this is the best looking buckle?!
Not to hijack yer post
... but I think that Grahams are the silliest things you could put on a wrist
-
Just in!! Mario Paci 10 Decima... Thick as a Brick
... on my 212:
-
Just paid for something!!! Just waiting for a push in the right direction by Davidsen... I haven't been this excited about a watch since I ordered my 091!!!
-
I think I'll start with the 195, then maybe a base... The photos above are all awesome!! Beautiful watches guys! I've just fired off a request to Davidsen
-
I need to get one of these... that destro is sooo beautiful but think I might start with a 195... Anyone have a shot of a 218? I don't know what this is...
-
VERY nice collection!!
-
I think they're pushing it when they say perfect... If you want perfect, then get a genuine... which are sometimes not so friggin perfect either and the repair bill will remind you of that every time (remember Admin)...
1:1 is a non-subjective term that should be used only if it is truly 1:1... Seems like 1:1 means different things to different people. 1:1 to me means the case IS copied exactly (give or take a micron or so here or there) from the genuine.
What irks me the most is this 'synthetic sapphire' description... or worse saying it is sapphire when it surely is not. This should be stopped. This has been discussed in a previous thread... Of course 'real' sapphire crystals on watches are synthetic sapphire, but if they're mineral, they should not be called sapphire or synthetic sapphire.
There also seems to be some chinese unitas engraved movements with swan neck creeping in... They are touted as swiss, but are clearly not if you look at them with a loupe.
The watch I received with one of these in them was sold as swiss... But I believe that even the dealers may be being scammed by the manufacturer and are told that they are eta swiss....
This adds a whole new layer of issues in regards to getting what we're actually ordering!

They'd be grooving with a pict in heaven right about now...

You Polish guys are amazing...
KV dude... THAT'S A LADY

NY-AP-Fox
Department of Homeland Security officials, along
with federal agents arrested an individual today
at New York's Kennedy airport.
The individual, whose name has not been released and was
later discovered to be a public school teacher, was arrested trying to board
a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a set square,
a slide rule, and a calculator.
At a mid-day press conference shortly after the arrest,
Secretary Of Defense Donald Rumsfeld
along with other top White House & DHS officials
believes the man is a member of the notorious
Al-Gebra movement. He is being
charged by the FBI with carrying weapons of math
instruction.
"Al-gebra is a fearsome cult, " Rumsfeld said. They
desire average solutions by means and extremes,
and sometimes go off on tangents in a search of
absolute value.
They use secret code names like 'x' and 'y' and
refer to themselves as "unknowns", but we have determined they belong to a
common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As
the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every
triangle."
When asked to comment on the arrest, President Bush
said, "If God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, He
would have given us more fingers and toes."

Add 7 for me and 5 for my wife... 1899!!!

And, as for that, I can add my witness that Finepics is second to noone (with all my respects to The Zigmeister), on the gorgeous job he made on my best watch.
I will second that
Finepics does a finerelume

Just arrived in the mail, very nice on my 212. Prada black leather 24/24 strap
Hope you like it
-
Strap,.. definitely... comfort is key for me, and there is nothing more comfortable than a
quality leather strap, with buckle, no deployant....
Second,.. the ability to change the look your watch anytime you want,.. find the perfect band and
set your watch off in a totally new direction, to match your mood, your clothing..your environment..
Chrono or not... Pams are a testament to that....
Not to mention, the most expensive, highest class of watches in the world, only come in leather..
{see the link below}
There are two metal bands though that I do enjoy,.. iwc gst's in stainless.. and jubiliee...
both flow over the arm like liquid...
I like straps for the same reason, although the Omega SMP pro and the Panerai bracelets are very comfortable
-
Wow! Limited edition of 600... with a depth guage! That'll be one expensive diver's tool

Hmmm... I ordered a set of fiddy hands from Davidsen (and got them in a record 4 days as well!)... I have done no research on the matter in regards to heights etc, I thought these hands (capped) are supposed to alleviate the recessed canon pinion problem.
Is there going to be an issue with the height of the hands I received?
-
And... PAM 192 on OEM Tantalium

Christian Dior Riva chrono with diamonds

O.Frei does not sell Super Luminova, they sell a product made by Bergeon which is a luminous material but not the same. Super-Luminova is the trademark of a Japanese company and is manufactured under license by RC Tritec in Switzerland. Only problem with ordering from RC Tritec is that they do not accept credit cards so you have to pay with Bank transfer or better still pay with cash (Euros). The lady that you can speak to on the phone is called Elizabeth and speaks very good english and is very helpful. You need to order the standard 1gm of C3 powder and liquid kit which contains the powder, varnish/binder (this is what you mix the powder with in 1:1 quantity) and a "Dilutor" liquid which you mix to wet the lume mix or make it more runny. You will need a needle like instrument to apply it and a pair of loupes to work with - it is not simple and if you have never done it before you will not find it easy!!
Thanks Finepics... I would not attempt to do this myself, my watchmaker can, on the Fiddy I trust him, on anything else, I would send to you :-)

Thought I'd elaborate

Jon
Also Davidsen's crystals are very nice. I've installed quite a few now for several members!
Thanx Jon...
Is this genuine super luminova? I think I need C3 color, but it is not listed that way. Which part number should I buy for my Fiddy?
In regards to the crystal, thanks everyone, I have been thinking Davidsen, but want to make sure that this is the one to get and not the same I have already... Anyone know?
Setting The Time On A Pam Automatic 7750
in Introduction/Rules/Support

I wouldn't think that setting the time would be damaging to the watch per-se, but it will contribute to the very slight wear to components and some wear to the seals.
When changing the date, although, you must make sure not to do this between 8pm and 1am, best to change after 1am IMO.
