Im gonna get one for sure! But I am confused by the dials. So many to choose from. I am probably getting one of the DRSD But what dial. Anyone point me in the direction of some info about the different ones? @ doubleredseadweller there is a list but is the numbers of the dials corresponding with the numbers given by PT??

Do anyone of you know if the parts for the ETz v5.xx is interchangable with the parts from the "ultimate". to be spesific : crystal, gas escape ring and dial. I bought one DSSD of Eurotimez v5.4 and the gas escape ring is rusted, the dial is awful and the crystal is distorted. Even the insert has ugly paint globs in it. I have access to watchparts no problem. But it is a shame to have them shipped to me if they do not fit. I only have one DSSD so I have nothing to compare it with dimension vise.. So if some of you who have like 15 different DSSD`s could check for me I would be extremely happy Enclosing two pictures of the rusted gas escape valve ring for you to look at its heartwrenching! I have not heard anything from ETz and I have a nagging feeling that I won`t be hearing from them soon (or at all)... Best to take matters in my own two hands. If someone from ETz read this post please contact me so we can arrange something! This watch is as good as useless to me.... Could just as well have torched the $360 or wiped my ass with it..

Found something even more disturbing on my watch!!! The "Original Gas Escape Ring" have RUST on it..... Have sent a mail to ETz to get a new one..... This was a real blow to the face And there is even paint "lumps" in the insert.... I will tell you one thing for sure... ETz have seen the last of me!!!

The pearl is just a trick of light. It is dead center in real life! What is wrong with the sapphire? Got a hold of a new "Ultimate" DSSD dial for it. Good thing I just bought handsetters and remover Hope my shaky hands can pull the switch.

I will source myself an "Ultimate" dial from my friend. So the fix will be done. I can not live with the slanted dial crap....

Do not think uranium will ever be used in watches...... But there is the new steel grade called 316F, byt there is some serious doubt that the classification is correct....

Received my DSSD yesteday and thought I would just film it at some angles and stuff for you guys to see. Yes I have shaky hands, yes I did not get the diver extension open. But you will get the jist of the watch I think Enjoy! I already made a small ding in it. This thing is kinda big ETz used the first v5.0 case and put the rest from the v5.4. mjmj Looks GREAT..... I have also read the tut`s but there is so much crap that you do not have to do... Would you be so kind as to share YOUR recipe for "vintagizing" I think I will do the same to my 1665. What I mainly want to know is how long you soak the insert to get the right patina, and if you fill water in the cup of solution or if you pick it up and rinse it off! AND if you use sandpaper or something similar on the insert before soaking it.. Tha sanding is straight forward (thanks to Gioarmani) Both the insert and the CG`s Thanks man

Took some more detailed pictures... I think the CG`s and insert & pearl look good? Wonder if this project is worth pursuing? So! Need dial & hands + crystal. Need to find hands that will fit on a 2813... No valve on the side, so I guess converting to sea-dweller is a no no

I bought a cheapo Comex from Silix. When I got it the movment was broken, so I have ordered an a2813 to replace it. Thought I should make a project of this watch. However I do not know what to do? What crystal can I put in this? can I change dial and hands? and after that I would like to rough it up to vintage standards. But if it just a fantasy watch I wont bother Pictures enclosed! Give me suggestions guys, I would apreciate it.. EDIT: As Lani said to me "You are hooked now!" Seems like he is right

They used the old case from the v5.0 and the dial and all the rest from the v5.4 EDIT : When I receive it some time next year I will make a pictorial (im not that good at reviews)
