Disabled But I am a computer tech when I feel well enough (Witch is not very often) Have been a computer nerd since the good old BBS days Have also been working as a "rent a cop" and in the hotel business as a conference manager and some years as a night manager. And in the oil business (Exxon Mobil Norway) as contingency officer. A little bit of everything really, until my car crash in 2000!

Buy this one from DealExtreme and grind it down Add some adhesive and make paste! Done deal. I have never done it myself, but looks like a viable option. You can also get white, blue, yellow and purple!

I have had the nick since the supercomputer was in a planning stage in the late 90`s. ASCIWhite is very old news now, but the nick has been with me so long its become synonymous with me! ASCIWhite was a supercomputer at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California. It was a computer cluster based on IBM's commercial RS/6000 SP computer. 512 of these machines were connected together for ASCIWhite, with 16 processors per node and 8,192 processors in total with 6 terabytes of memory and 160 terabytes of disk storage. Despite these formidable statistics, each processor was very slow by 2009 standards, operating at a mere 375 MHz. Therefore, it was almost exclusively used for computations requiring dozens of processors. The computer weighed 106 tons and consumed 3 MW of electricity with a further 3 MW needed for cooling. It had a theoretical processing speed of 7,226 gigaflops. The system ran IBM's AIX operating system. ASCIWhite was made up of three individual systems, the 512 node White, the 28 node Ice and the 68 node Frost. The system was built in Poughkeepsie, New York. Completed in June 2000 it was transported to specially built facilities in California and officially dedicated on August 15, 2001. Claimed performance was 12,300 gigaflops, although this was not achieved in the widely accepted LINPACK tests. The system cost $110 million. It was built as stage three of the Accelerated Strategic Computing Initiative (ASCI) started by the U.S. Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Administration to build a simulator to replace live WMD testing following the moratorium on testing started by President George H. W. Bush in 1992 and extended by Bill Clinton in 1993. The machine was decommissioned beginning July 27, 2006.

The new Milgauss 116400 V Anniversary Model with Green Sapphire Glass
asciwhite replied to JoJo35's topic in The Rolex Area
Wondering.... Is that a straightforward swap? Or do you need new hands etc? Having one 21j on the way myself I would like to swap to a clone 2836-2. -
Yes he did! I have bought many watches from him. And I actually consider him my friend. And now I feel shame for doubting him. I will have to apologise next time we talk!
-
Actually it was not wrong. I said I wantet the Noobmariner, then he said he had one with better movement and showed the picture of the M model. So all of this was my mistake (Hope he forgives me) He just forgot it had the engravings (He wantet obviously to show me the movement, not the rehaut) Sooooo all in all I got the noob with better movement! And I feel ashamed.
-
I thought so... I ordered the classic 2008 update M with engraved rehaut, but I got the wrong one... Does not matter though I love this one (on my wrist as we speak) It has a niiiiiiice 5 beats per second and is really smooth. It is my very first Rolex, but not my last! Actually this one is much better than the M model.....

PERFECT comeback! You da man greg_r I have to remember that one.
-
Your god what a beautiful watch in pvd!!! Just had to share... Hope the Milgy gets repped in high grade PVD preferably with green crystal Bamford Watch Department
-
The dial is a deep blue. Deeper than the bezel. The watch doesent suit me very much, and the subdials are bugging the hell out of me ;P They are spaced to close togheter! And I might be a snob, but the quartz watches looses its "soul" in a weird way. Its a nice watch in its own respect though. It really has a sapphire crystal and its good looking.... All the other watches I have is mechanical (exept for a Oris Carlos Coste, ,wich I also will be selling cheap) So... Hope that answeres you question castlemountain.
-
Personally I dont like it... You can have it for 500,- + shipping Scuffmarks on the bracelet, but those can be polished off. I had some problems resizing it and got a little bit brutal! But its nothing serious..

We (the forum) should all go to China and show them what to do Take over the factorys and shape them up a bit! Tell them they could make tons more money with pure super reps.
