long story short.. I've been a little bogged down with the biz these past several months.. so it's nice to get back into my routine.. no love out in the real world these days !!.. it's true about RWG.. it may be a virtual space.. but the peeps and friendships are as genuine as any 20k timepiece !!!! ..

this is "fo real" off topic .. but after being away dealing with my biz night and day.. what was creating the void in my gut was all of youz .. !!!!

IMHO.. the only drawback with the scotchbrite is the coarse lines it leaves.. I would recommend the fiberglass pen.. Offshore has them in his tools section.. it refinishes the metal like factory fresh.. I would psot pics but my old LP has gone to a better place and I had no back up files.. search the Doxa watch I refinished using the pen..

Life ... Being what it is is never fair nor Just.. Apperances can be misconstrued and the most honourable of intntentions often mistaken for the worst possible scenario..

We can never be too cautious with our children.. If I were a parent and saw the vid. I would be very sceptical and err on the side if caution ..

Understand what is happening on the world net with children these days.. It is far removed from our parents days.. Children are targets for the predators of the world.

Put yourself in the parents "shoes" .. If you have ever lost a child (for whatever reason or circumstance, you would have a little more empathy towards the feelings of being over protective)

I have never viewed "my space" for the simple reason that a middle aged man has no reason to be on a space where it is predominately filled with adolecences and kids.. For what reason would a single adult male be doing there .. And if I were there I should not be offended if I were asked why I was posting ..

I just joined face book only so I could locate some buddies that I trained with for years and since the old gym closed .. I have not seen in a few years .. Yup they are all on facebook.. And I found a freind .. Actually I was in charge of a rich kid's safety some years ago yhe he is living in Japan now with his family whom I was very close too..his Mom and sister .. I wa with them more than their father and mentored them .. So for those reasons I joined facebook.

My point is I would not post anything advertising anything to so with kids on a world wide web site ..

You should not be offended.. If you really love kids .. Then you should feel content that they're safety is being looked at..

Your intentions may be honourable but there needs to be strict parameters when it comes to the welfare of children

move on away from advertising anything asking for children's participation

I think I see the "attitude" that would make anyone rather defensive .. it's not the issue at hand but the presentation of finding a solution .. the solution would of been simple and probably without cost to the buyer.

my parts box has a knee jerk reaction at times, and closes ..

Simple solution would have been post a "need links".. which I have..

The buyer should know how this community supports it's members by now ??

too many members that come on board feel like they are buying a genuine from an AD..

even the watches we buy brand new from dealers need modding..

your wrist is the same size as mine.. and I doubt it would be an issue..

I only deal with members that I know and that have been here for awhile

another reason I don't sell any of my reps weather they are fresh outta the box or have been to Ziggy..

members expectations are unrealistic ..they wouldn't be happy if it were a genuine .. I've purchased genuine that have had little chips in the crystal .. but don't think of asking for a "partial" refund..from the seller..

in the years that I have been collecting reps .. I have had many request from members that come on board to sell them one of my reps.. never have.. for the simple reason that the law of averages are against such deals..

As the rep hobby increases interest around the globe .. so will the scammers .. and peeps looking to make a fast buck off false statements and low end reps... etc. ..

This is the time to be prudent in "who" you are trading with..

Because a deal looks to good to be true.. it usually is.. too good to be true..

Err on the side of caution.. no other way to put it..

I really don't consider myself an "expert" on any brand.. I do reviews based on "research" .. on the genuine brands .. a far cry from being "versed".. I've learned through the reviews.. I try and contribute.. that's all..

Tribal and Stilty should be noted for Rolex also,..

the "ONE" or in this case the "MANY" options that RWG offers .. and set's it apart (IMO) from other watch forums, is the wealth of information and the "willingness" of the vets to go above and beyond to assist and support those with a passion for watches ..

Point is .. I believe RWG has the best of the best ... where else can you go to get the support that members like Ubi .. Freddy.. Tribal.. Stilty .. and many many more lend freely...

kinda hard to go with one member for the popular brands .. especially the vintage.. Ubi should be in the Rolex brand.. he's our "go to guy" for vintage shtuff and has the best franken Daytona fo sure.. Not saying Freddy should not be named.. but one and one alone is very subjective..

Watchmeister for Pams .. although he is very low key most of the time.. I would go with kruzer as one of the names here..

As I say .. hard to name one member for each brand.. after all their are 4 aces in each deck of cards and all hold the same rank..

No forums - like you just hospitals. lol. Couple of sick puppies you and I have been. And besides, you all know by now no matter how genuine my collection, my horological home will always be here at RWG. I do like perfect watches, but I can't stand perfect people. lol...
