  1. Saturday ~ 6541 I don't think the 6541 had a pearl.. and the hands are missing the lume down the middle.. incorrect bezel insert.. but I doubt parts for this replica is available ... maybe MKII can make custom hands ?
  2. Same here A ...she is a looker fo sure !! .. I am ordering another custom strap for the deployment buckle .. I need to get it exactly correct to my wrist.. so I'm not rushing it It definately is a Manly looking timepiece.. Live Strong and Wear it Well !!!! Aloha~Cheers Lani
  3. There has never been so many Hawaii Athletes represented in the Olympics as there was for the 2008 Beijing Olympics ! The State of Hawaii was Proud of the Men and Women that represented our Country with Pride and Dignity !! But when all of them accomplished so much and did so well.... that gave all of us a quiet, humble satisfaction that Hawaii's culture has the ability to breed "never say die" attitudes in their youth ... and that we can all accomplish whatever we set our minds to. Brain Clay.. with Numerous injuries throughout the past 2 years.. wins Gold in the Decathlon.. Natasha Kai ... not targeted as a starter not so long ago.. scores the winning goal in the semi's and contributes to the USA winning Gold.. 4 women on the USA Volleyball team with Hawaii ties.. 3 played their Collegiate careers at the University of Hawaii Stanley Clay.. Local Boy too.. Mens Volleyball And the Waipio Little League "World Camps".. they battled back time and again from adversity to reach the finaland beat heavily favoured Mexico.. they are the second team from Hawaii to be crowned World Champions.. it really was the Little leaguers that stole the show.... after all it's all about the "Kids" .. they are our Future!!!

  7. Ok.. but I hear they have some nice "drawings" in Rome ... because of the copyright protection .. the addy has to be copied and pasted in the addy box..if anyone cares to read a little history..
  8. Thank you DT.. the Genuine that Joshua procured must be from 2003 or earlier.. as the Probus crown was added after 03 .. but here is the IWC Genuine Forum info to confirm..
  9. . . What this means is .. we are getting Older .. History repeats itself and these retro bunds are jus copied and fashioned for the new melenium .. like the "jailin" jeans .. the gang bangers wear them like it would be in Cell Block.. where your belt is taken away and your shoe laces etc. sheesh they even make pants with faux briefs that are part of the jeans so it has the "apperance" of your pants riding half way down your a s s .. but what is disturbing is that the ladies are going back to wearing full bras ... ... I don't mind that if "gravity" has taken over.. but common.. let's see them ski slopes.. and leave nothing to the imagination again..
  10. Roger that !!.. and ace even said: He's a newbie with Class !!

  14. The MOST IMPORTANT rule to alway's follow !! never set the Day Date with the hands between 9pm and 3am... for me I alway's take it down to 5:30 respective of my local time.. ignoring this will (if not immediately) cause damage to the DD wheels .. and they will be stuck and you will be unable to release them unless you know a repair person that works on reps.. Live Stroing and Wear it Well Lani
  15. Because of copyright protection .. you will have to enter using this link http://www.solitaire.com.sg/knowledge/pioneers2.html Interesting added History.. we all know F.A. Jones.. but did you know..where the phrase "Probus Scarfusia" originated ?
  16. For Those interested in the History of "Probus Scarfusia".. go here >http://www.solitaire.com.sg/knowledge/pioneers2.html It is copyrighted so no copy and paste.. but interesting ...
  17. Both Crowns are correct.. the "Fish" crown was the Original crown used and because of some issues it was converted to the Probus crown in later productions of the 5002.. but the Fish crown was the original.. Owners of the Genuine 5002 and 5004 comment on this switch (crowns) on IWC forums .. so you know that the knowledge and statements are factual I copied and pasted the IWC forums accounts by it's members.. See the Review > http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=81425 Edit Add: .. this is the quotes from the IWC Forum in which the crown and movement are explained India Whiskey Charlie15-08-2007, 11:43 PM And perhaps can give some insight. My first was an early 5002 with the fish crown purchased back in 2003 (I think!). Then, I got a 5004 last December. The 5002 movement is rated at 18k beats per hour while the 5004 movement has 21.6k beats per hour. This can help a watchmaker fine tune the 5004 a bit more for a bit more accuracy. Having said that, my experience is such that the accuracy of both is extremely similar even after both watches having been back to IWC for service and regulation. In fact, I have four 5000-based IWC's. Two 18k's and two 21.6k's and see no difference in accuracy between all four. There really is no "better" movement between the two. Now, as to the crown difference, IWC changed the fish crown to the Probus Scafusia crown when they changed from the 18k to the 21.6k movement before releasing the 5004 models. At the same time, there was a revision made on the crown tube to prevent a damaged that occurred on the original 5002 fish crown. On some watches, the crown tube slid inside the case preventing the crown from screwing-in. When this happened, IWC replaced the fish crown with the Probus crown. As such, some 5002's with the Probus crown may very well be early 18k watches. With my personal experience, I see no difference in the two movements. Now, had IWC gone to a 28.8k beats per hour, it may have been a different story. There seems to be so much confusion (on my part at least) on the difference between the 5002 and 5004 movements on the BP. first could someone please explain the main differences and why one would prefer one movement over another. I understand most of it is personal but don't understand which is truly "better". Secondly, The fish crown issue! what is the deal with this? My crown has a fish or my crown doesn't have a fish. What does this mean and does it really matter. Thank you in advance, your assistance is greatly appreciated. Greg.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It also should be noted that the second hand is not "smooth" due to the movement ... some IWC Forum members have commented that the 18k movement traveled much like a quartz hand... not as much with the 21.6 but still jerky.. so with the Asian 21.6k in the rep. the hand moves as would the genuine..
  18. Mahalo to the Master of Reviews !! I can't wait until we get our AR mags back from Chief.. it should make all the difference Thanks again BT for the Super Review and amazing pics !! Aloha~Cheers Lani
  19. basically .. we teach our children that it is not acceptable to lie... However.. if it's a ex- mother inlaw or ex-wife who wants more of your income... fire away.... the skies the limit... no holds barred .... lie through your teeth !!!!! never say die.... but in the case of this trhead,.. it must have been through "fear" of what may be thought of someone wearing a "rep" which to the outside world in all intents and purposes makes it a "fake" ... and the owner is associated with this mind set .. sad to say.. Good thing we got dis plazzzz to come to .. and only get jusdged on everything other than the reps... well never mind
  20. Definately chemically enhanced ! A Rolex on roids ..... massive thanks for the thread Ray !!! Lani

  23. Yes Avitt.. .. I realize that .. the older B Uhr was called onion.. although some enthusiast still refer to the newer diamond crown .. in the old "onion".. I myself jus prefer "onion".. so since I wrote the review.. I choose "onion".. if it offended anyone.. as being correct or not..... OH WELL ... such is life ..
  24. Thank you !! Yes the "Onion Crown" is what really caught my eye when I saw someone wearing the genuine !! that crown...sheesh.. she's a looker as is the rest of the piece.. I haven't been able to get it off my wrist this week !! It does not wear like a 46 mm .. the balance is outstanding !!.. absolutely no wobble on the wrist even if I wear the strap a little loose...
  25. I'll throw some of these in ... Thank you for this Thread R.. L Add on:.. yeah Z .. sorry missed the beggining.. stop me pleease....
