congrats in advance.. can't wait to see your pics .. I haven't been able to get the 5002 off ma wrist... it feels "great" to wear as far as balance and really does not wear like a 46 mm piece at all !!.. Anticipation after it being released is "Da Bomb" !!!! Really !!!.. Ditto on that note.. wish they would hurry with the 5004 ..

So the big pilot is starting to grow on me....

The BP does not wear like a 46 mm .. the lug width is almost the same as the 3717 so it fits nicely on the wrist with good balance .. .. the "onion" crown makes it for me !! and it is a screw down and done very well !.. the dial itself (ticks - markers and hands are spot on) I can live with the sunken DW..as it is not grossly over kill.. and the faux PR.. bothers me .. not a bit ! The V-2 does not even warrant a second look ... hands down the 5002 fo sure .. you won't be dissapointed.. Here is a review and macro pics of the genuine and the replication.. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=81425 Aloha~Cheeers R -
2 tanks of gas is more than this rep for me...

Better than being Ignored Dutch ... Now your gonna get more views !!.. I betcha..

I think we are wasting our time on threads like this... with members who need to share why they are "not" going to buy a rep... as stated on another thread .. seems like a whole lot of discrediting to the rep is going on and may be targeted at the dealer instead of the 5002 itself... I may be wrong .. but .. look at the dial.. the sunken date window .. like so many others with asian movements .. becomes a topic of "why I will not buy it".. Like this is earth shattering news..
-
it's obvious by now the naysayers are political activists... There have been comments such as "exellent" toward the 5004 when it is so obvious that it is a recycled older version dial .. very inacurate in every respect it seems to me that these threads are going in the direction not so much about the 5002 replication but instead, passively about the Dealer who has it listed.. sure the PR on the 5002 is fixed and the DW is sunken.. like so many other reps with Asian movements ..(as was alluded to earlier) It's about the "singer" and definately not about the "song" How can the 5002 be called a "Canal St" rep ? what qulaifies it to be given that euphamism ? the fixed PR ? the sunken DW ? Common .. really.... tell it like it is ... rather than attack the dealer or maker.. discredit the rep. .... of course it's not 1:1 .. but what "replication" is ?? nuff o the Games...

Lume is good "out of the box" ... markers like the genuine are not lumed..

-
disabable the date feature ??? I think you are missing the "point" of the "date feature"... it is meant to keep the current date "daily" ... ..
-
Thanks for the direction Sp.. it is actuyally easier to put on this way.. wonder who thought of the keeper on the outside of the wrist.. genuine pic.. It's just visually going to take sometime to get used to..
-
You took the words right out of ma fingers ... re: the recessed DW .. a bit anyway
-
The Inconsistencies are evident.. starting with the PR dial .. and the markers and ticks.. look at the 6 marker.. yikes !! I'm with Sp.. V-1 hands down.. V-1 .. matches up much better with the genuine.. even without close scrutiny.. at least the fonts correct on the DW..
-
You really need not "study" the BP intensely to realize that the DW is recessed more than the Genuine .. it's there for all of us to see.. but as stated it is not as bad if you look staight on .. only when you look at the dial from an extreme angle .. and for 200 usd I can "live" with it.. it's not about "having the guts" because we are "ALL" about " helping the community, rather it's about knowing the limitations of the asian movements .. as others have stated regarding the PR.. I too would rather it be "fixed" than working for 2 day's.. You may consider this a "project" you could be inclined to undertake to "help" the community.. Good Luck with your findings Lani

that would mean taking the hands and dial apart.. which would be a moot point because honestly as Cg already stated if there were a way to mod the DW the Maker would of done it.. it has to do with the movement hoopy.. it really does not look that bad and if it was not brought up you probably would not obsess over it.. for me.. I will enjoy it .. if they come out with one in which there is a movement that can correct this without heavily modifiying the movement then I'll be all over it.. but that may not be for some time down the road.. until then this is more than a good price for "a" BP rep.. of this quality.. Cheers L

Your BP looks ... "FAT" !!!!! Sp .. and thank you for the info on correcting the direction of the strap... I will change it once I get back to my car.. hehe.. you know us obsessed members .. cannot wait to get home.. that is a long time to wear this beauty incorrectly..!! thanks again for the pics ... !! Aloha~Cheers R

Hoopty here is another pic.. where the Date Window dosen't look all that bad..
-
what's up with your onion crown ??.. ya eating chocolate again whist winding your BP ?? at least I think it's chocolate..

I am really replying cause Shundi's post was #666 .. yikes actually the original B-Uhr was 55 mm the BP 5002 is 46.2 Terry .. but the lugs are only 21 mm (I believe) .. so it does not wear as big as other 46 mm timepieces.. and with a low center of gravity it is a very well balance piece if you have the proper strap (thick) on it.. and Thank you once again T.. and also, Mahalo Shundi.. I couldn't let 666 stay on the board..

Nice 5004 BC !!
