  1. Yep I have a bond, a speedbird, a grey/silver and a black. The black is on my GMT Pepsi now which is superb to. The silver is great with the white expII by the way... You can combine in a second... I love NATO's.

KKS - Beautiful watch and great work. Have you tried an all-black Nato? They are quite nice with a Sub or Sea-Dweller. I think it makes the watch even more striking because it drives your eye right to the bezel insert and the color coordination makes the strap look like it came with the watch.
  2. Nope tried that it sits back in place allright but when unscrewing the whole thing comes of. With the pusher in hand the outer rig screws easily up and down so no force is needed. Still unscrewing the whole pusher is obviously even easier. I would like to try loctite but I would lose guarantee... And still don't know if it would work.

  3. Well I love the watch so much, it has left my modded MBW DRSD in the drawer for a week. So actually I would prefer to fix it. I assume doing this with LocTite sould definately fix it but I do not have the tools to completely disassemble it without damaging. I am looking for the solution! I informed the dealer already. He told me to send it back t fix it... So he is cool :thumbsupsmileyanim: . Just don't like risking it being seized for the button if it should be a simple fix.

  4. The best rep I have at this moment. Keeps time well within 4 secs per 24 hours. Looks perfect. Unfortunatey yesterday I used the chrono (for timing a fart as TTK would say) and to reset it I unscrewed the bottom pusher and it came of all the way. There is a tiny screwthread on the pin where the main button screws on to but holding the slippery tip of the button with rubber plyers did not hld (I just tried). Any suggestions on what to do to fix it?

    Here are the pics...

  5. Fred,

I can only say the gen superdome magnifies your dial intens... I have a gen from Timeman and it cost me 150$ but its worth every penny. It adds more looks than gen crowns and tubes and inserts. Next to my MBW white SD 1665 with gen flat tropic #39 the whole DRSD watch looks bigger because of the magnification... I will try to shoot pics in the weekend...

I did a comparison earlier BTW...

  6. I think the Tudor hands for the 2824-2 movement are for an ETA. They will sure fit the 2824 but not sure about the 2836 but I think they do... The Zigmeister posted a comparison chart once... unfortunately I think it was for chronos...

Can anybody tell the pinion width of gen GMT rolexes and the 2836-2 counterparts with and without the correct handstacks? The Zigmeister?

  7. The Zigmeister,

That is superb. I have this old IWC pocket watch from that same era from my granddad who passed away at the age of 93 back in 1993. He has gotten this watch from his father and gave it to me when he was still alive. It is a 14k gold IWC. It still runs strong but I am sure it culd use an overhaul... The Zigmeister please PM me for possibilities and details. I would love to share these pics with all you guys...

  8. Freddy that is one interesting post. IMHO there is a strong variance in the gen dials as well. The biggest attention point for me is always the size of the markers. The bigger the better. The gens always have big markers... I have my DRSD with gen tropic #39 superdome which really enlarges the dial a lot. Next to my 1665 White with gen flat tropic #39 it looks significantly bigger. But still the markers on the gens are always still bigger... In your picture as well.

  9. This is the fun about this forum... I wouldn't even enjoy buying a gen... just slap a load of money and walk away...

No this is true craftmanship... Trying to reach perfection knowing that it always will be a rep but eliminating to 0,0001% who is able to detect it.. Luvit!

  10. The font is sharp and crispy, the pic is bad. The dial and hands came with AD invoice from 2006. Guess its gen...

hmmmm that dial looks very bad. I dunno but the font just looks way bad.... but then again it can be the pic.

Yes, ExpII dials can go cheap if you are lucky. I paid a bit more for mine - 230
