  1. Very cool. I have to go find my gen dial in red and see if its been fitted yet
  2. Are you doing any other mods as well as the dial? How could one sort out the crystal AR to make it look less ahhh tinted? Good luck to us!
  3. The BCE arrived today. It will be interesting to see how the red dial looks with the tint of the AR being purplish/blue on the crystal
  4. The seller is 'thediamondcastle' they have a black one for sale now. From the tracking, I should have the watch on Monday.. and might have the dial in by late next week. So I'll update this post with pics when it arrives.
  5. From the research I did and questions I asked of members that had done this swap - it fits straight in. If it doesnt fit, then you'll see a red gen dial for sale
  6. I got the dial off Ebay if anyone is interested. There's a seller on there that has many B dials for sale. They had another red one the last time I looked.
  7. I'll post pics when it's finished. As I mentioned above, I think the strap might be too much.. the bracelet may win here. I also wouldnt mind picking up the Breitling rubber strap.. I think that would be a nice way to tone the dial down
  8. Thanks Ken... should be a bit different for sure. Best part is the strap will also fit a 40mm Luminor, so its versatile in the 22mm size
  9. I've got a BCE incoming to fit all this too I ordered the pilot bracelet version as with this dial and the strap, it might be a bit much..but we'll wait and see Cool eh? :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  10. I found the same thing when looking for a BCE with CZ bezel. Someone did mention that a gen dia bezel is available.. but thats all I know sorry! I have a red gen dial to fit to one, still debating if the I want the CZ bezel or not! Red dial and CZ too much?
  11. Hi Guys, Now that Panerai have reintroduced Radiomirs in the 42mm case, do you think we'll see some reps coming out of these new watches? They look great, 3 day manual wind movements and sandwich dials!
  12. Great review. I want the bling bezel version but they aren't made anymore! I've got a red gen dial to fit to it so maybe I'll just go with the regular non CZ bezel version. If you have a BCE with CZ bezel and lello datewheel that you'd part with, please let me know!
  13. Welcome aboard Karin! Nice to see another female on the board cheers watchgal
  14. Message sent to you Theo. I cant be bothered waiting for a strap conversion kit so I can actually wear it. So if you are keen.. I have one I'd part with.
  15. Yes the watch itself is lovely. I'm really hoping I can get a strap on it. A nice black or blue gator will really pop on this watch.. oh and I'll be able to actually buckle it up! The bracelet is HUGE on this watch
  16. I asked for a white one but the dial is actually silver. Not sure if Paul had true white ones.
  17. question.. is it possible to fit a conversion kit to this watch so a strap can be added? Like the AP Bands Conversion kit?? The RO looks HOT on a strap (the bracelet is also cool) and will also help fit a smaller wrist!
  18. I'm interested in joining for a black one if possible. Please PM me Rolexfinder... thanks HEAPS! How excitement!
  19. Hi Guys... I currently own two awesome watches. A genuine PAM98 and a gen Explorer II black dial. Previously I'd always flip one of my pieces to buy the next and then end up really regretting the loss of whatever I've sold! My budget doesnt led itself to much beyond these two gens. So here's my dilemmma I badly want a Datejust. I'm really missing something thats that little bit dressier. I want a 36mm with a diamond dial, so that immediately makes a gen a pricey option. I'm happy to put some effort into acquiring the right one, cos I'll keep it. I've studied some threads where you guys have bought the parts to assemble a 36mm DJ and can pretty much figure out what I need to build one up. My only problem is that I have NO IDEA and am pretty much a clutz when it comes to building stuff. IKEA furniture no worries.. but anything tiny and I'm likely to have a total tanty and destroy it! So does anyone have a good contact in Australia that I could ship all the parts too and pay them to put my DJ together? I can post questions on the forum I spose to ensure I have all that is needed to assemble it. I've found previously the watchmakers near me are all rep=junk and will just not look after whatever you give them to work on. I even had one throw my old gen 14060 on a class counter saying 'how much you pay for this junk' oh did I get narky with him! I will never give him work ever again for such bad customer service attitude!
  20. I think the new models are great. OP are trying to pick up a new market share I believe and they are achieving that. On Paneristi you are seeing more and more newbies to the brand that have been drawn in by these new in-housemovements. The 312, 320 especially are attracting buyers that never wanted a PAM due to them only having ETA movements. The price point of the 312 is perfect as well, attracting those former ETA naysayers. Now they are releasing a 42mm rose gold Radiomir with sandwich dial and new in house movement, I can't wait to see if they also bring out a SS version in the Luminor case. OP is great, there really is something for everyone
  21. Wowzers that's just gorgeous! I think I'll have to get one too Love the MOP! I tried on a gen one of these a week or so back and was blown away by the watch, its just a stunning piece. Rolex got it right with this one thats for sure. But the price DU is steep, a good 10k OUCH. I'll stick to my gen explorer II I think... more in my price range Lovely photos too
  22. The 232 came on a MX strap 27/24mm with the sewn in MX Logo Buckle. You can also get them in black. Panerai also have a new line of Vintage straps out on the on market, still a little hard to come by...but they do exist. EDIT: After some more searching, the only OEM Calf I could find close to the 26/24mm is the OEM Tan Calf found on the 232 and 249. Nothing in Black tho. Next to that all I can see is 26/22mm. Some have had custom made by OP straps with the sewn in OEM MX Logo buckle added to all kinds of configurations but that is mighty pricey and slow to do. If you are set on a 26/24mm you'll have to get it custom made aftermarket I'd say. Be nice to have the MX Logo Buckle added to a black calf with Ecru stitching.. any strap maker could do that if you give them the buckle! Hope this helps
  23. Cant you just flip it around tho? I know you can on a gen. A friend of mine bought a 1A and the watchmaker had mounted it upside down, just unscrewed it and flipped it over.. voila!
  24. Courtesy of Paneristi.. ref 108 What a stunner! EDIT: Some of Panerai's nicest contemporary models have been in the 40mm size! Looking at the back catalogue of special editions is drool worthy! Love the red hand
