  1. I'd avoid it. Cheap glass lenses right next to your eyes....that scares me. I bought some Ray Bans on ebay and turns out they were fakes. I was upset. The guy took them back, but still swore up and down they were real until I pointed out how I knew they were fake. My UV tester also showed they only stopped 92% of UV light. I ended up getting some from shadesdaddy.com Reasonably priced, genuine. My only complaint is I paid $10 for USPS Priority Shipping with insurance and they sent it First Class and wouldn't refund the shipping.
  2. What's the difference between Josh's $198 and $98 watch? http://www.1-pc8838.com/rlsdv01002-vintage-1665-great-white-asia-2836-p-7599.html - $198 http://www.1-pc8838.com/rlsdv01102-vintage-1665-great-white-asia-a2813-2880-p-7806.html - $98 Both claim parts interchangeability.
  3. The minute hand clears the stick markers really well. I was worried about that, but the 2836-2 worked great. The hour hand is the perfect length. It just barely misses the stick markers. I think the gen is a tad bit shorter, but this looks like it was meant to be that way. The cubic works datewheel overlay looks great (even though it's wrong for this year), but some of the dates don't center properly. Stilty's customer service is awesome. I had 450 questions for him.
  4. Thank you. It's my favorite dial too. Never goes out of style.
  5. I started gathering these pieces in Jan I believe. Gen case, dial, bezel, crystal, crown/tube, clasp, powered by a 2836-2, and held in place by a stilty ring. Cubic works overlay for the date wheel. Cheap rep bracelet though (the sides of the hollow mids links aren't plated). A big thank you to RWI member Katt for putting it together for me. He's basically local to me. He appreciated the stilty ring to make these easy. I've wanted this 16013 since I was a kid. Now I have it (minus the bracelet and movement anyways).
  6. LOL. Don't worry, I'm sure they'll start using "Extreme" and that will add another layer of description to differentiate models.
  7. Are you talking about appearance in the sun? Or are you talking about the dial fading?
  8. I just bought some 22 mm by 1.8 mm (thicker) spring bars for my black rubber strap from Amazon. Eliminated the gap problem. I took pictures, but I'll get around to posting them later. Nice and tight fit now. Took about 35 minutes to get the strap on though.

Nice job. Rough idea of your before/after bodyfat percent?
  10. i'm going to need one too soon. Can't justify $600 for a gen on ebay for my 16013 franken.
  11. you could get some custom pens from phoband. Maybe get their names engraved. I got one for my dad and he cherishes that pen.
  12. fancy creatines are a waste of money. after nearly 15 of studies nothing has been shown to be more effective than quality creatine monohydrate. Affordable and works the best. Thousands of peer reviewed studies show that.
  13. I tried them, didn't feel any different, and they really upset my stomach. I react well to yohimbine though. That stuff makes me feel like I could knock down a wall.
  14. Totally fakes. That last one sold for over $700 and already he has another 1-day auction. If you check the feedback, some of the people that left feedback have been banned from ebay. Check their feedback and you'll see people were complaining about "imitation" products from China!
  15. One day auctions. The others went for like $800 to $1000.
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220515099944 This is like the 3rd or 4th one this guy has listed. Exact same pictures and everything. Feedback is pretty suspious. I don't know enough about tudors to make a judgment though. Not to mention Tudor reps seem hard to come by.
  17. I'm back to walking and jogging. My shins are finally tolerating it better than my lungs. I've lost 18 lbs since Sept 15! Not bad. I also picked up an ipod nano and Nike+ so I can track my jogs.

I've lost 10 lbs of fat since Sept 13 just doing the old fashion better diet and jogging.
  19. Is he using the bezel to time himself?
  20. That's my opinion too. Nothing like freeweights! They're cheaper too! I wouldn't mind having a bowflex treadclimber though. Those look cool.
  21. It really depends on your goals and how you're exercising. To truly build muscle (after the noobie gains) you need excess calories and protein. To lose fat you need a caloric deficit. If you're lifting weights traditionally then you can't be burning a huge amount of fat or calories from it. If you do circuit training you can because it's more akin to aerobic exercise. Drink your body weight in water? I hope you meant take your body weight in pounds and drink that many ounces of water a day (like a 200 lbs person drinks 200 oz of water).
  22. These are exactly the people that can't afford anything they own. They have a $25,000 in student loans, a $30k car that they sell the moment it's paid off instead of saving 5 years to buy a car outright and save up for the next one, and a $200k mortgage that the second the interest rate went up they couldn't afford their house. I wouldn't find it odd that someone might have a $10k Rollie. If they walk up with a $40k watch I might raise my eyebrow.
  23. Power rack ($300) + bench ($100) + weight set ($120). Cheaper. Heavy compound movements are the best way to build muscle. With just a single bar, bench, and rack you'll be able to hit all the major muscle groups. If you don't have room for a power rack (which takes up as much as a home gym) you can always just get stands. I've never been a fan of bowflex because at the beginning of the movement there's no resistance and then resistance increases as you push. So with bench pressing when your hands are near your chest there's little resistance. So basically you're doing a tricep extension and not a bench press.
  24. The real savings are come from shipping that is billed separately. With others you get free shipping, but if you order 3 items you're paying for triple shipping.
  25. I'm thinking about getting one of these: http://www.nstarleather.com/optimizer/product/136.html But I don't like how the center pocket opens to the side (mine currently opens at the top). I don't use the chain, but I do use the grommet as a keyring for my house key and spare car key.
