thanks guys! as per the cartel website specs, the crystal is listed as synthetic sapphire with AR. i must say it looks very good in person. the AR does not have any blu-ish tinge, and really brings out the tobacco color of the dial very nicely!

*counting thru my PreV and PreA PAMS right now* damn you FGD.. gonna need quite a few sets once you have these for sale

decided i needed a base radiomir to add to my base PAM collection, and got smitten by the 232. did a bunch of research and found that a cartel 232 modded with DSN upgraded dial and hands was the way to go. fast forward to 2 weeks later, plus some quick work by Spin to do the transplant and wala!! the so-called ultimate modded 232 is now complete i must say the end result is as awesome as what other geeks said it to be. and this is probably one of the best value modded PAMs i've done in recent times. for those interested on a similar build, all is you need is: - Andrew/Trusty PAM 232 rep - $200 - DSN upgraded dial + hands set - $80 - OEM JV strap - $$$ : - plus some spare change for your watchsmith to do the dial/hands transplant and flush/polish CP mod if your hands are as clumsy as mine guess this is getting a good amount of wrist time in the coming week. no better way to beat the monday blues

after traveling thousands of miles from nicaragua to singapore, my PAMs have finally found a cosy new home. all thanks to Donerix and his awesome creation! and thanks to Spin too for finishing my 002 and 009 so soon, so they get to come home in time for the housewarming party and i'm eagerly awaiting the mailman to drop off dluddy's 202a to take up its rightful place in the box too.. @coolfire & siesta181, yours are still awaiting pickup at the post office as yours came in the 2nd delivery which i missed today

yes, strap texture is a little suede-like... nubuck i believe is the term used to describe such a finish on leather..

had a request to mount this bad boy on my gen MM20, so here it is pardon the protruding screw.. was too lazy to do a full "screw job" since the strap was going back onto the fiddy

got these new shoes originally intended for my gen, but since i've not had time yet to make a trip to the bank to take it out, my rep gets the honour of trying on some new shoes first for the new year it's arguably the best oem strap made thus far. and the best match i've found for the fiddy

just sent you my order. gonna keep a few as spares for future projects.

main flaw on this would be the dial. the gen dial is not white, it's got a shiny silver color. tried on the gen at the AD when i went to shop for a big ingy. it's nothing short of spectacular. but unfortunately the ADs only sell it in a set of 2 watches, and i had no use whatsoever for the smaller "Son" watch.

looks quite decent. datewheel font is off, but not a showstopper. need to see if the 7-day subdial is correct, whether it has a red painted portion but the hour hand at 2o'clock is blocking it here's a gen pic for comparison:

i've had both my APROOs sec@12 serviced and overhauled (no graphite treatment though), and they've been running like champs.. accuracy about +5sec per day so i'd say go for it!!

dude, i paid for a seawolf he was selling and he said he shipped it on 2 Aug. fast forward to more than 3 weeks later, no seawolf yet on my doorstep. tracking number he provided shows no record on Deutsche Post website. PMed him to ask for his help to check with his local post office. No response yet for almost a week. so yeah, he's gone a little MIA for me too.
