what is wrong with the dial? it looks good to me but maybe i'm missing something. i've seen this one and a ss with a black dial from josh in direct side by side comparisons with a gen and they look the same to me. what are the differences you are seeing?

the subdial hands are the correct color. its pretty much spot on as far as the dial and such goes. i like it. i know it is plated but no more than i would ware it i imagine it would last me for years. i'm not very rough on a dress watch.

i agree it looks very nice. it's the only one i've seen that made me want one.

i am very happy to say that ours look nothing like that. a tt is not a heavy watch and a jublee band is very liquid around you wrist. out of all of our rolexes are buy far the most comfortable watches my wife and i own.

ruby has these same watches avaliable and i bought a tt dj for my wife. i have seen nothing that tells me it is plated and the color matches our other 18k jewlery. ive got a tt dj myself that is marked polex between the lugs and i have handed it to my jewler and he compared it to a used tt dj gen that he had for sale the only difference he could see was he had put a 14k band on his. i've been wareing it for 4 years and it is fine. i keep it clean but i have only polished it once trying out a cloth mt jewler gave me. i would not have bought my wife one if i thought it was plated. my wifes doctor wares one and we compared them and her doctor could not tell the difference.

ruby has ss dj's and ss and solid 18k dj'. i bought a ladies ss and solid 18k from her with a blue vignette dial with diamond markers and it is killer.

that is what i have always thought but i have never figured out where gen parts fit in. i know i have seen el say many times that if you want a sub to keep for your self, buy a tw best. even the gold plating process is very diffrent. something about heating the metal so it bonds into the poors of the base metal and it will ware for many years. i forgot the name of this process but it has been outlawed because it is very hazerdous to the person preforming the job.

did anybody notice the crystal height and rehaut depth on that watch? it looks like a tw best. i have a tw best blue sub from el and that is how it looks. it is totally diffrent from the cn subs.

if you want to mod a watch you should always start with el's tw best. if you don't want to do any mods then yes you should buy the cn version.

weird things are happening in shipping now. i just received 2 watches from ruby and the tracking showed it being accepted in guanzhou going in and out of customs there in china and then arriving to my door in us. very strange indeed. it looks like it never went through customs entering the us. the only time i have ever had the tracking numers work correctly was a ladies ss ym from king. it worked perfectly every step of the way. never before and never again has that happend. just another reason to throw it in a drawer and if you don't have the watch in about 3 weeks then try it.

his wife called me the other day and told me they had been in and out of the emergency room a few times in the last couple of weeks. i haven't called back to see how he is doing because i didn't want to bother them. i hope they figure out what to do to help him. i'm glad i saw this thread because i was going to call tomarrow and see how he was feeling. i will wait a few more days.

selling new bentleys comes with having to provide alot of customer service also but it pays well. i have only one transaction with king and it was excellent but that is all. i think you mean ruby. i asked her about it and she has no information or contacts for them. he was testing the waters with those prices he threw out there. i told this person that i would try to set that up if he would give me the contact information and he did not respond. he is wanting to sell because he knows there is a market for them. as far as it being a pain in the rear? you have to like dealing with people to deal with them on a daily bascis so that term lots of baggage is subjective. some dealers are better at this type of thing than others. now with all of this said, for the 3rd time if somebody will send me the proper information i will talk to her about it.
