  1. If there is no gasket around the crystal - how does the retaining ring attch to the case? and how does bezel ring/insert assembly attach?

The retaining ring is hold in place by the crystal of the watch, thats all.

Now it seems that your retaining ring is to big for the crystal, that's why they used alot of glue. Maybe the crystals are to thin from these reps and then your lucky.

Just buy one from Clarks and your problem will be solved.

I wanted to buy the same watch and use the bezel (they are very accurate) and retainer for my tudor sub.

Can anyone confirm if you buy a clarks crystal that the loose retaining ring problem is solved?

Or do you still have to use glue?

    Thanks.

  2. Hello,

I'm building 2 gen Tudor (7016 and 7021) subs and I have a problem with the stem.

I bought 2 regular Tudor watches with the right movement (2483 and 2484) for the subs but the stem is to short.

I read that the stem part is nr. 401 and it seems that al those old eta's uses the same type ref nr.401

When I look on ebay for stem ref nr. 401 I see there is alot of difference in calibernumbers between them so I'm very confused now.

Is ref. 401 fitting them all or what?

The stems from the 2483 and 2484 are the same and fit eachother.

Maybe I can use stem extensions but what size I have to use? Is it 9 to 9?

    Stem from ebay:

Stem on the picture is my stem and looks different then the one on ebay:

    Thanks for the help

  3. It's a yuki case and everything fits like a glove, genuine bezel, genuine 702 tube and crown. So it have the right dimensions.

The problem is and I read a topic about it, a ref 1603 caliber 1570 won't fit a sport rolex, but some people says it does.

There is a difference in the date seat, a ref 1603 have a beveled dateseat while a ref 1500, 1680 have a straight.

    JoJo35, I have a gen Red sub dial ;)post-23685-126118088948_thumb.jpgpost-23685-126118090857_thumb.jpg

Who knows the partnumber from the right dateseat?

    Thanks,

    Kiara

  4. Hey guys,

I have another problem to build my 1680. I bought a 1570 movement and yes there it is, it won't fit.

    It's a 1603 movement and I new it, So for once and all a 1601, 1603 "1570" movement won't fit at all.

So my question is, what do I have to do? Searching for a new date seat or have this one milled.

At first I wanted to do it myself but I cant take it of because one of the screws is rusty.

Is it a possible task for a watchmaker to do this? Or should I sell the watch again and buy a ref: 1500

    Thanks,

    Kiara

  5. You need a Tropic 127 for a 1680 and the Inserts have the same measurement

    That's the problem. I do have a tropic 127 and it's a fit but when I use a tropic 19 it's a no go.

So my questions are, is the Clarck aftermarket crystal not right or do I have an aftermarket insert.

I want to know because I paid alot of money for the insert.

    Thanks,

    Kiara

  6. Hello Guys,

I have a problem with my 1680 project.

I bought a genuine 1680 bezel + insert and ordered a T-19 crystal from clarks. The insert is to small for the crystal!

It wil only fit a 127 crystal.

To my knowledge 1680,5512,5513 bezels and inserts are interchangeable, right?

What do you guys think, the crystal isn't the right one or my insert is aftermarket?

    Thanks,

    Kiara
