  1. My baby,

she's almost 9 years now but she still drives like new. Every time when I'm thinking of buying a new car I look at her and she's tel me not to do it :)

I have done 179.000 km with the car and there was not one day she fails on me, the only thing she needs is a little bit of attention, some hugging, etc....

  2. Today I finished my other gen Tudor build, A tropical 7928 from 1967.

I think I got a very very rare dial because normaly you only see chapter ring tropical dials.

This one is a late rose dial without a chapter ring and the dial is creamy chocolate, perfect for a '67 Tudor 7928.

Text is very clear on the dial but difficult to capture on pictures.

Big bubble second hand, twinlock crown, FEF 390 silver caliber

The watch is also not polished, nice beveled lugs and look at the crownguards! Not rounded at all.

The crisis was a good plan to obtain al the parts but now all the Tudor/Rolex parts are rising again.

  3. Hey guys,

Just finished my gen build Tudor sub 7021 roulette with all the knowledge I can find from this forum.

Yuki asks $860 for a fake watch, I build one with genuine parts for $1450

    Specs:

Genuine case, blue perfect dial, blue insert, NOS vintage bezel, NOS 702 crown (thanks to justasgood), tudor movement 2484.

Changed the cyclops crystal with a domed one, much better this way ;)

I have another genuine build (7016) for less almost ready, pictures will follow.

  4. I didn't think the hands were gen. But, the dial is 100%. Seller of dial and hands are two different people.

    Snowflake1.jpg

Yep looks genuine ;) I youre looking for the right snowflake hands, order them at wholesale on ebay.

I know most of the people here don't like there buisiness but to me there always been fair and the snowflake hands they sell are good reps with the right size.

  5. If there is no gasket around the crystal - how does the retaining ring attch to the case? and how does bezel ring/insert assembly attach?

The retaining ring is hold in place by the crystal of the watch, thats all.

Now it seems that your retaining ring is to big for the crystal, that's why they used alot of glue. Maybe the crystals are to thin from these reps and then your lucky.

Just buy one from Clarks and your problem will be solved.

I wanted to buy the same watch and use the bezel (they are very accurate) and retainer for my tudor sub.

Can anyone confirm if you buy a clarks crystal that the loose retaining ring problem is solved?

Or do you still have to use glue?

    Thanks.

  6. Hello,

I'm building 2 gen Tudor (7016 and 7021) subs and I have a problem with the stem.

I bought 2 regular Tudor watches with the right movement (2483 and 2484) for the subs but the stem is to short.

I read that the stem part is nr. 401 and it seems that al those old eta's uses the same type ref nr.401

When I look on ebay for stem ref nr. 401 I see there is alot of difference in calibernumbers between them so I'm very confused now.

Is ref. 401 fitting them all or what?

The stems from the 2483 and 2484 are the same and fit eachother.

Maybe I can use stem extensions but what size I have to use? Is it 9 to 9?

    Stem from ebay:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Part-401-Winding-Stem-ETA-2836-2-2824-2-2801-2-Movement-/400153642637?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d2b04068d

Stem on the picture is my stem and looks different then the one on ebay:

    Thanks for the help
