Hey Drizz....
Looks like I'll be moving to KS soon. Looking in the Kearney area north of the city...
I know the area, I'm in Mission right now in good ol' Johnson County. When will you be moving here?

As has been said already, once you wear one you will understand. IMO start out with the classic design either a 111 or a 001 or my personal fav 036. Although you can't go wrong with a 196 on carbon (just read up a bit on the 7750 movement before you pull the trigger or just get one with the 7753)

Can't really complain about the watch itself. I was one of the first 5 to get it last year. I love the watch and it's a favorite, but the whole "Saga" is just crazy in my opinion.......
I agree, I wear mine quite a bit. This is a very interesting turn of events.

Now that is an absloute beauty!! I've got an asian auto I bought from Klink about 9 months ago and I really want to get a better one. Add another watch to the "must buy soon" list lol!

I wear mine into AD's all the timeIt doesn't matter if you have a rep that is 99% accurate to a gen, it just doesn't feel right. Wearing a gen, you know in your heart that its real and you just have that confidence wearing the watch. How many of you guys would wear your rep to an AD and roll up your sleeves? Its the feeling you have wearing a nice gen that you worked hard for and not afraid to show it off. Also I'm assuming when you are using the word "you" in this paragraph you are really saying that's how you feel and not making a generalized statement about others.
Again I love to wear my reps and tell people about the watch, quality, price, etc. I even start to talk about the "flaws" (which pretty much anyone who isn't a WIS would never have even noticed) and how they can be modded/fixed.I love wearing my gen IWCs, Zenith, GP.... etc and telling people about the watch and the history of it. I can't do that with a rep and a straight face. I only buy reps for watches that I would NEVER purchase a gen of. (Panerai, Omega PO....etc...). I like to wear them casually.... and nice to keep as part of my collection and have a nice variety. But if it's a watch you genuinely like and want, buy the gen. -
Who can remember Barbiegal???

The way I see it anyone with $4k can walk into a Rolex/Panerai/Omega etc. AD and buy a gen. There's nothing to it. When it comes to reps you really have to do your homework and up your education to make sure you are not getting screwed. It really turns into a search for knowledge as opposed to a search for the nearest AD. Besides especially with Rolex even if you have a gen many people will still ask/think that it's not real and the conversations with those people after you tell them it's a rep are much more fun than if it was gen.
