Just received my 029 this morning!!! I was in the shower when the postman knocked... I had a feeling it was the 029 so I rushed out in a towel to sign for it... Beautiful watch!!! My GMT hand is in sync as well! Can't wait to wear it... now I just need a new strap... the strap on it is not THAT bad though.... in my opinion... one thing i never knew... the cyclops on the 029 is actually on the INSIDE of the watch???

Is it real solid rose gold? what is the quality of the leather strap?

does the gmt function on the 029 work just like the one on the rolex gmt2? i read a write up on how the gmt function works on the gmt2... but forgot most of it... i have pretty crappy memory... but i remember something about setting the gmt hand to actual greenwich mean time... and somehow... when you are in another country....you adjust the bezel or something...and you can tell the time in that country... need to go find that write up again.

I am waiting for my 029 alone... no strap to accompany me... still shopping around deciding which strap to go with... got tracking number from eddie today... can't be long now!!!

bignasty... i have the same problem... only got it after 7 years of living in the garden city... plenty of pollen in spring... you should take some hayfever medication... and also eyedrops... really helps a lot... and joe... sorry to hear that... get well soon...

well... just that with bmw's maintenance is quite expensive... and cos there are so many electronics in it... so more things that can go wrong... to be honest i did not have very major problems... and it helped that i purchased a mechanical warranty for the car which paid for almost everything. I had problems with the automatic windows, leaking gasket, air conditioning, and a few other small things i have forgotten what... but overall it is a great drivers car! all that power... i saw a 99 m3 coupe with smg transmission for sale the other day which kinda tempted me again... why are u getting the sedan over the coupe if you want it for a track car?

Subaru legacy GT wagon... needed the extra bootspace and 4wd for work so traded my e36 M3 for this. I am however looking at getting a proper 4wd sometime soon... thinking of the X5... anyone have experiences with the car? is it reliable? I am a bit wary with the electronics on BMW's after my M3 experience.

Was talking to a friend yesterday and he was quite impressed with the reps I have purchased recently, so he asks me if I can find these watches for him. I have looked around and cannot find any... does anyone know if these are made as reps? The first is some multigraph thingy... second looks just like a link chronograph but the one that our dealers sell seem to have the dials lower... or am I mistaken?

I was just wondering... how hard is it to take the straps off the watch? cos i had this idea of buying a few straps... and changing them on the watch depending on occasion... or should i just get a few more Pam's? I like the look of the classic dark tan calf strap... but I like the idea of having a stand out strap like a natural python... or an alligator... or both... mmm
