Just saw the pics i posted and realised i did not wipe the watch or bracelet before i took pics... also quality of pics are pretty bad...

i got it from THE mbk shop... it has the dots instead of the grid design... but still has swiss made instead of swiss... so it is not a chinese version... so i am quite sure mbk made a new model. i did not ask him when i bought it as i did not realise it had a diff dial... will post photos when i have time. am on holiday so dont have a lot of time and internet connection sux.

I was in bkk last week and went to mbk to buy a pp nautilus jumbo as a present for my dad. I am no expert so I just took whatever I was given without looking in too much detail. I also went back the next day to get the 2008 mbk submariner after seeing all the hype here! Today I gave the watch to my dad, but he doesn't like it!!! He has a gen TT datejust so he told me that I can keep the Nautilus. So then I took a closer look at the watch and something didn't seem right. My nautilus has dots instead of ticks on the dial!!! Is this a new mbk model? Would this make it more accurate? I saw the same model in an AD in KL... anyone have this mbk model with dots as well? Another question I have is does the nautilus have a sapphire crystal? When i use my fingernail to tap the crystal, it does not feel as solid as my other reps. Is it because the nautilus has a very thin crystal? Also, the clasp on the bracelet is held by two pins to the bracelet. It is very loose and came off just now when I was playing with the watch. Is there a way to have it better secured?

Factories closed for chinese new year so I don't think they will be produced for at least another month.

Sorry, I am talking about the 16610...but I would think the fit and finish and feel would be similar?

actually the feel of the watch while you are wearing it is pretty good...would be good to have somebody mod one and see the result! also to add... it has a thick crown tube like the wm9 sub...

Yeah... engraving is a bit too big on the rehaut. Probably only improvement on the watch is the gen bezel assembly! Maybe the factory should just not engrave it. Gen bezel and insert, gen crystal, gen crown/tube, gen bracelet - brush off the engraving on the rehaut - gen or noob dial? perfect sub? Here are some larger pics: Pic of the divers extension - it does not work... is there a way to get it working?

i think i am gonna give up with taking the photos... they just aren't turning up well. Good to see the watch has bezel assembly same as gen though, would be a good base watch for mods... i personally dont like the watch though, might post it for sale mid feb after my holidays, unless it grows on me during that time.

tried taking some better photos but my photography skills/camera sux... but the serial number between the lugs matches the engraving on the rehaut! glad that TTK posted some better pics...

just got off the plane. just to clarify the rehaut is not that conical, just the way the photo turned out. apart from that, the watch feels good on the wrist, but i personally do not like the rehaut engraving... sides of the bracelet are brushed not polished, i am not sure what it is on the gen... crown seems a bit big and low... hopefully someone can post better pics. i will have a closer look tonite, maybe take the bracelet off and take some photos between the lugs.

just wondering if anyone can help me here... i am gonna grab one of this later today, but I think there are 2 models available, the standard sub and the LV green bezel. do they make the LV with the rolex engraving in the rehaut for gens as well?

I actually saw the watch a few days ago and held it in my hands when I was buying a PP Nautilus... did not even know it was a new model till i saw this post...

He has replied to my enquiries... $900 for case and $350 for dials... for 1665 $800 for case and $300 for dials... for 1680 I see he sells a lot of vintage watches as well, according to the site they are GEN - can the experts tell if they are really gen? Or just put together himself? I am on a mission to find a good connection for a vietnam/chiengmai case, I have contacts in thailand and vietnam so hopefully I will be able to find something! I am travelling to thailand myself next week so will see what I can find. Wish me luck!

I am going on a trip to Thailand next week to visit some friends. Will be in BKK first for a few days, will stop by MBK to get a few watches - will probably get the Nautilus Jumbo as a gift for my dad since I have seen so many good comments... I have about 4 days spare where I have not planned anything and would like to head up to Chiengmai to explore, while there it would be fun to hunt for the legendary chiengmai 1665 case! Anyone have any tips for me where to look? I am sure they do not just sell them in plain sight at the night markets... must be a special shop somewhere... I know the Vietnam shop but I am not giong to vietnam this trip, just thailand and malaysia. So if anyone has any info pls PM me... greatly appreciated! THANKS!

if u do a search u will find a few results... i think u need to run the chrono for over 24hrs and do the reset...

i am confused as well... why would anyone need rep hands if they have the watch already won't it already have the rep hand?
