so i have noticed that the sapphire crystal on my tw's are not really close to gen ones at all. they have a less smooth edge and are angled, where as the gens seem more 90 degree's straight up, with a slight smooth edge.

take a look at the pic of the modern seadweller and you'll see what i mean. I'm sure this has been noticed before, but its beginning to annoy me. has anyone fitted a gen sapphire crystal on a tw case???

20mm springbars, not sure where to get gens though, but i can use a few pairs myself, let me know if you find anything.

And we have the same collection buddy, except my 1680 is mbw, and i also have a mbw 1665.

tis a beauty that 16800.....was considering building one myself.

Do you guys notice the rehaut on that? Pretty shallow in comparison to the 16610.....tw case may be to deep, but i may be wrong

thats a rep modern case from the looks of it, has a small lip in the inner top for the crystal to press in, and a lip on the outside for the bezel to snap under.

i think i see a hole on the top left also for the pin that creates the click.

lugs look kinda iffy, tube is pooh, and the cg's need a nosejob, but the rehaut actually looks pretty good. you may be able to make something out of this

TW Best Classic GMT II, let the mods begin....lugs are drilled, springbars fitted, gen black/red insert on the way, new movement with correct stack on the way, just need a gen dial, gonna do a nato strap on this one i think.
