  1. queensryche, lol, i love them :)

ahhhhhhh l'amours, talk about history, being 32 and growning up here in nyc that place holds just as much clout as cb's.

if we're talking about recording now, i use ProTool 7 on a PowerMac, and i use the Line 6 pod for the guitar recording, just for demos in my home, nothing fancy. In the studio i will usually try something of everything.

I actually did a song last night for a Christmas record, we did a cover of Elvis's Blue Christmas, but totally rewrote the music, came out pretty interesting.

For that, i just used a shitty old acoustic for my tracks, and then we used a 12 string, grand piano, i think some sax, etc. will post it as soon as the producer gets me a mix

  2. my personal fav in my current collection is a Original 68 Gibson Les Paul Standard. Takes a serious toll on my back cause it weighs an absurd amount, but i have yet to find a guitar that beats it for me.

I have owned and currently own:

74 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty

62 Gibson SG Custom, white, 3 pickups (biggest mistake letting that one go :( )

    Gibson ES-335

    62 Fender Strat

    Early 70's Gretsch RockJet

    70's Gibson V replica

    72 Fender Telecaster Deluxe

    B.C. Rich Mockingbird Archtop Supreme

a few random acoustics and basses and other crap i cant think of

talk about an expensive habit, makes rep collection look like pennies

  3. no problem buddy, andi agree, you would think that it would interfere with the desire for this case, but the case itself, other then the lugholes, is pretty much perfect in every other way.

i wasnt aware that this was such a common thing with the tw classic cases, personally, i probably would have gone for one without the lugholes if i knew...

  4. @freddy333...

you kinda missed the whole point here. as yor lugholes indeed look great, we were dicussing how to rebias misplaced lugholes, some cases have the lugholes to far off center, which doesnt leave much clearence for drilling the hole bigger cause it might end up coming right up to the top end of the lug.

so, we're trying to figure out how to solve this issue without destroying a very difficult to find case.

    cheers :)

  5. thanks tribal, the dial is from el's sub, which was originally what i was gonna use for this project until i discovered the case size and bezel were slightly larger then gen.

i love the way this watch looks once you get that insert trimmed down and the crystal pops out like the gen, looks soooo good :)

as for a gen dial, i'm sure it can be fitted, but being that the lugholes on this case are not exactly right, i'm not gonna put anymore cash into it. gonna drill them the way they are and hope they look ok
