the case that i have is the twbest classic with the lugholes. i have no idea where it originated from cause i got it second hand.

its funny, cause other then the case and the crystal, the watch is really not good at all, not even close. one of the worst dials i have ever seen, terrible bracelet, feels like its made of tin foil.

but, of course, the only thing i'm interested in here is the case, so i could give a rats ass about the rest

yup, the case has the lugholes and the deeeeep rehaut (i know its annoying to bring up, but it really is true)

the cyclops looks pretty spot on also. cant wait to put this one together

i sure did, lucked out.....that case is REALLY impressive. waiting for the noobmariner for some parts, then its a little drilling here and there, some swapping of parts, and the pics will be up

nyc is nothing, trust me.....i live here, grew up here, etc. I live in the lower east side which is, or at least used to be a tough part of the city.

good point, what does that run? and how do you harness the movement?

thats a cool little drill serg.

from what i know from my last drill, the bits go through the best at a medium speed and almost no push, too low a speed does nothing, and too high heats up to fast. the problem for my drill is that the speed is controlled by pressure on the trigger instead of a speed adjuster on the drill, which makes for uneven speeds (what did i expect for $20)

also, pushing breaks bits left and right. when i just add the slightest amount of pressure, it glides through, may take about 10 minutes a hole, but i break less bits.

no kidding tribal, ugggghhhh, my girls gonna leave me, lol, take my ducati, my apt, my friends, my money, just be me, a bunch of reps, and you guys.

Just curious as to your experiences with drilling lugholes. my drill is ok, i havent the slightest idea who makes it, but i was curious as to what some of you used and how you felt it held up on this sort of application, cause i wanna get a new one.

and please dont tell me a low rpm hand drill, cause i already own one and know that, i am more curious as to experiences with specific models.

just to chime in, the whole "looking like they can afford it" thing is kinda crap.

I am COVERED in tattoos, full sleeves, long hair, look like a bum, lol, and i have plenty of money.

its a common misconception, but not so much here in nyc anymore. alot of my friends who have money look like they live on the street, and they have a boatload more then these dealers, trust me.

not particularly on the subject of this post, but i just thought i would chime in, seeing how the lines of wealth these days are thining........

thanks gents, just wanna do the backside so i get that tiny lip over the insert from the bezel.

gotta bunch of crummy inserts lying around, so i"ll just practice on them this weekend to get the technique down.

@jetsons - thanks for the congrats, cant wait to get this thing modded, it really is the best case i have seen. of course, now i gotta get some more bits to drill the lugs being that i've literally broke 10 of them doing the last 3 cases

really? do you use anything to hold the insert, or do you just hold it in your hand and grind it down?

also, do you use a light sanding disc, or something stronger, please elaborate.

and i am quite pleased. the watch has all the known issues (iffy dial, bad bracelet, etc) but this thing is perfect in the case dept, even the cg's are almost spot on, i barely have to remove anything from them. of course, the rehaut is deep and magnificent ( i feel like a turd for saying it, but its true) this thing also has a hefty weight, which to be honest, i dont know whats right anymore in that dept, so its kind of irrelevant to me

as soon as my noobmariner arrives, gonna swap the bracelet and datewheel, drop in the gen insert that was kindly included with my tw, drill the lugholes, put a gen tub and crown in, maybe a gen dial, oil this [censored] up, and never take her off my wrist.

WOW, BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I used to collect knives, but gave all of them away as gifts. Ever seen the knives made by BURN? insane. Now I collect firearms, watch reps, and stress

hehe, actually, should stay away from the dremel in my opinion. i would suggest, like my peers, a nice set of swiss cut needle files for cg's and slight case mods, and a low rpm drill with cobalt bits for drilling lugs and such.

most of the tools that i use personally for mods probably cost me a little over $100 for everything, hand removers, case holder, drill and bits, files, tweezers. doesnt take much.

and to clarify, i wasnt trying to say that everyone should be into modding, just was expressing my joy for it.
