  1. I know that there are some good ones out there, I used to have one.
  2. I recently picked up a nice BK/TW 16613 Sub that came with a not so nice bracelet. The bracelet seems to be good quality but it looks like it's rose gold or something. So, I need a very good bracelet for it. First of all, I have searched the forums and can't find the answers. Will a gen bracelet work with this watch. I was told that it was built by BK and that he used if TW case. Where can I get a decent rep bracelet that will fit? The one that's on it supposedly came from Narika (sp) but it is nowhere near the correct color. Thanks in advance. CR
  3. That's what I've got and like I said, it's very nice, I just prefer the white dial. You answered my question, thanks, I guess I can resell my gen white dial now.
  4. Ubi, His is, you are correct, I have read that post several times. But as sneed said, some will take the dial and some won't I was wondering if there was a way to tell by looking at the watch. Thanks sneed, no way I would be sanding down a gen dial, I originally bought found it for a customer whose watch was damaged but he then decided to hold off. Even though he said that he would buy it anyway I decided to hang onto it just in case. If it won't fit, no problem, like I said, it's very nice just like it is, other then the crown that I will swap out soon.
  5. I was recently lucky enough to pick up a Noobfactory Explorer II from a great member here and have a question. I have read every post here and on other forums and am unclear whether I can put a gen dial in this My link I have a gen white dial that I recently acquired and would love to put it in this one but I understand that some will and some won't take it. I know that there are several members that have done this and instead of contacting each one individually I thought that it would be better to post here. Thanks for any help and by the way, this watch is everything that I've ever read about it. I buy and sell a lot of genuine Rolex watches and it really is hard to believe it's a rep.
  6. No, he damaged the watch trying to wind it and took it to a watchmaker to fix. He's going to relist soon.
  7. I've posted in his comments section probably several dozen times going back a month or so (this was posted on RG back then) and he deletes the posts everytime. I suggest that we flood him with comments pointing out the tells.
  8. Just did one this morning, it drew from my checking account, no charge.
  9. Well I wish they'd get on with it, either send me my watch or send me a letter so I can get on with things.
  10. I've had a watch sitting in Miami since Jan 22., I guess I'll never see that one.
  11. Try Trevor, I got one from him w/ Swiss eta and 14k gold wrap and it's as close to gen as you'll get other than WM9 (I guess). I got a gen crown/tube and it look very good. Take from someone who bought and then sold 4 genuines last year, it's pretty good. And it only cost me $200 because I bought 2 watches at once.
  12. I have an order that was made on 1/16, shipped out on 1/19, "inbound into Customs" on 1/22 and there it sits only about 10 hours away from me. Nothing since. As I posted on another forum, I am just about done with ordering from overseas (at least finished with orders coming from Asia), it ain't worth the trouble to me.
  13. Well I tried it and it won't work. THe other case is too small.
  14. I have a Daytona with an Asian 21j movement and one with a Asian 7750. After reading Freddy's post about making a near perfect Daytona I'd like to swap the movements, dial, hands and all. Will I have any problems? Will it just be a simple swap or is there anything I should look out for. FYI, the watch with the 21j has the better case, the one with the 7750 has the better dial. Thanks for any advise.
  15. Thanks bud. I'll do that in a heartbeat but are we sure the caseback will fit?
  16. There is one version that is "asian automatic" but the other is Quartz, which I'm not necessarily against. But the point of my post is that I don't want an auto but a handwinding movement with the correct case back.
  17. I just sold my Gen Speedmaster 50th Anniversary Edition and sure do miss it but I had an offer that I just couldn't turn down. So I was looking around at the reps of the watch at a couple of dealer's sites. I was wondering, is there a Lemania hand winding version out there with the correct caseback? I have found on at Timeshops that looks pretty good but it is auto and I have found ones that are hand winding but have that damn clear caseback (why would they do that?) I like the one at Timeshops and at $108 bucks it's hard to pass up but I thought I'd ask around first. Thanks.
  18. Thanks for the info Andy, I didn't realize that J&W did them. I'll be very interested to keep up with your progess.
  19. Anyone have any ideas on where I can look? Checked ebay, nothing there right now.
  20. I'm going to have to look around a little and see if I can find one before I decide but it is something to consider, no doubt.
  21. I am seriously considering River's parts but was wondering, any ideas on a case? Will any of the cheap rep cases work?
  22. SO what you are saying is that this model has the incorrect hand stack but that there are versions with the correct stack, right? But the versions with the correct stack aren't any good?
