  1. Nahh sadly its battery powered. Im a still a noob to watches so apologies for not understanding the question.
  2. Thanks and yeah its mechanical as far as im aware. For the price it bloody should be!
  3. Well after wanting to buy a 'decent' watch for over 5 years i have finally bought a nice time piece which i thought i would share with you folk since i got a lot of help and advice from the members here. Everyone i have encountered so far have been nothing short of kind. I had been toying with the idea of a rep watch as a daily wear but the ones i like seem to have complex movements and as such need to be serviced etc and had common faults which put me off a bit. What i decided to do was spend a decent amount on a daily watch and then buy a couple of high end reps for the watches i can only dream of being able to afford the original examples. Right... to the watch i have bought. Its a Seiko Premier Chronograph SPC051P1 Some blurb from the Seiko website;
  4. Just to drag up an old thread. Have finally got round to ordering this. http://www.watchshop.com/mens-seiko-premier-chronograph-watch-spc051p1-p99932292.html Should arrive before 1pm tomorrow at which point i will take pics etc and get them up. As i havent actually seen this watch in person i have made sure the store takes returns with money back garuntee. Cheers Fizz
  5. Well i shall be ordering the Premier one in 4 weeks after my next pay packet. Cheers for the input guys. Will get some pics up as soon as i get it!
  6. Seems like this has split the members.... And im so glad that deal has finished for the Bulova as that is really nice. At least im not having to change my mind again as to which options i have worked my way down to.
  7. Right, After much deliberation i have narrowed my search down to 2 watches which i will use as a daily item. http://www.expresswatches.co.uk/seiko_chronograph_alarm_stainless_steel_black_dial_sapphire_glass_date# A stylish Seiko gents alarm chronograph watch. The stainless steel bracelet has a distinctive design which is complemented with a black dial which has bold roman numerals. Usefully, the watch is also 100m water resistant. Chronograph Alarm Stainless steel case and bracelet Black dial with silver markers Date window Sapphire glass Butterfly clasp 100m water resistant OR http://www.expresswatches.co.uk/seiko_chronograph_alarm_stainless_steel_black_dial_sapphire_glass_date# To combine a full function alarm chronograph with a perpetual calendar was an irresistible challenge, but to achieve it in a watch that retains the ease of use and classic appeal of Premier is a very considerable achievement. The key to the success is the dual function of the center hand. It indicates the date, month and leap year in the time of day mode and seconds in the chronograph mode, thus leaving the dial clean and easy to read. Once again, the very highest timekeeping technology is presented with a classic, restrained demeanor. This is the very essence of SEIKO Premier. Chronograph Perpetual from the Premier collection Perpetual calendar correct to the year 2100 Month and leap year display at the press of a button Chronograph up to 24 hours in 1/5 second Split time measurement Single-time alarm in 24 hours Retrograde day indicator Stainless steel case and bracelet Fold over clasp with push button release Sapphire crystal 100m water resistance ======== Has to be said im really impressed with the features of the premier one with regards to how it shows you the date. Very nifty. I prefer the strap of the first one though... Regards Fizz
  8. Dont know of any specific honda parts sites but i know there are some MR2 specialists about. What do i think of the MR2 NA, well its like driving a Broken MR2 Turbo as im always waiting for the boost to kick in but never does. lol Thats a biased opinion though as i have owned 2 MR2 turbos before so this was bound to be a slow car in comparrison. Having said that the NA is so much easier to throw around the bends due to its predictable power band. There is a kick from about 5200 rpm when you get some more power similar to the modern VVTI engines. MPG is about 25 which aint nothing special but what is special is the Mid engine Rear wheel drive setup. In the dry you cant fault it and in the wet once your used to the car you can have some tail out action.
  9. Cheers mate. With regards to the end links you refer to. I presume you mean where it connects to the watch? And yeah, im liking this one a fair bit. Just need to find a place which has the first watch so i can try it on to compare before purchase. Once i have this daily one i can then look to getting a rep in the mean time. (pardon the pun) Regards Fizz
  10. Right... bit of an update. Finally got round to going to try on a couple of watches and could not find the one i originally posted in the shop to check out in person but did look at a couple of others. In particular this watch. http://www.firstclasswatches.co.uk/seiko-gents-chronograph-sna525p1-p-676.html Now in the pics it doesn't look anything too special but the finish of the metal in person looks very sharp. Tried it on and the strap although did take a couple of hairs out ( ) sits really nicely on my wrist. Its a 44mm width and didnt look too bad size wise but i think its due to the strap falling and shaping around my wrist. Others i tried on have a bigger link to the watch which sticks out a bit before it touches my wrist. Looks a bit silly. So anyhow..will post a pic up as soon as my computer reboots. Regards Fizz
  11. Im really liking that watch as well as the strap. hmm.. Very nice. How big is the watch? Looks quite wide.
  12. Get on th itr-dc2 forum as thats where i found mine. Impressive and very capable car but i missed my mid rear turbo setup of the MR2's so sold it.
