  1. Who sells the best case for a 5513 build ,just purchased a super 5513 dial and im looking for a case under 600usd my last 5513 and tudor snowflake were build using cartel 1680 cases this time i would like a case with stamped printings ! im hoping that the case can be adapted to fit a 1960s 2472 eta movement as i purchased 4 of them this month !

    Thanks in advance !

  2. That looks really good. I exchanged emails with tiger and I cannot wait to sell a couple of parts to get one if these to compare to my thinned down MBK case.

I would love to build a pepsi no cg after the tudor mabe again with a tiger case but have a stainless steel cone sleeve made to be able to fit an aftermarket 26mm gmt dial visual i shoulden be seen just a thought my blue tudor flake had to have fitted a thin stainless steel ring of washer to fit a 26mm dial . ! thanks for the compliment on the build ! what parts are you selling ?

Ok Ephry73 !!! like i said my build is a yukiwatch case (i believe) i have ordered a ruhelena dial tudor rose we had to shave the inside of the case from 28mm to accept a 29mm dial and i hope that the tiger will accept one of my 4 eta 2472 movements the yuki case would only accept a 2892 eta which as you know is slimmer and aligns tube/stem perfectly .

the problem with tiger is that he will not do combine shipping i resently wanted to order two of his lolipop big dot seconds hand he charges 8 usd shipping for one and i ordered qty 2 and was charged 8x2=16 usd which i couldent believe it( a feather light seconds hand 2 pc 16usd shipping) so i decided to only order one but still shipping should only have been 4 usd for a seconds hand or free .

  4. Hey aero, talk to me about inserts... what does your research say about 6538s and tic marks from 0-15?

I prefer the cleaner look of no tic marks, just triangle-10-20.

From what i have read the 6538 watches only had 0-15min inserts the no tic marks were 1950s cases like the 6202 , bonds watch must have been in for service and was fitted with an earlier insert , or rolex had some left in stock and used them up before starting on the updated ones i think the worst looking inserts are the milsub 0-60 tic marks just looks so cluttered to me, i like the crown guard subs with the 0-15 tic marks but somehow it does not suite the no guard subs !

Nanuq ! yes i love the none tic too , this build is a yuki case and uses gen size inserts same as the 5513s but yuki does not supply them i ordered from wholesale outlets and they sent me the oversized insert that are used by cartel no crown guard watches , raffles and ruhelena have well made inserts but again are oversized and only fit on there cases , i tried looking high and low but unable to find a no tic gen size insert i have thought about shaving one down to fit the yuki case hoping that the edge will be covered by the clip on gen like system ,

  6. Amazing build ! I love both fantasy and gen like builds ,we build fantasy build a few years ago with very little positive praise , but today is more popular , i think that the launch of the blackbay with its missmatched tudor rose dial with snowflake hands really opened up the way and as made more acceptable the idea of fantasy models ,which is a bit like customising a classic car or vintage car there will be those who like it ,those who like both, and those who hate it , ! keep em coming !

  7. Congrats on your build ! i myself did an over the top ageing/fading on my tudor build with tropical insert although my insert came out authenic looking i must admit that the watch is getting less and less wrist time , and thats why my latest 6538 build has had no ageing done to it,i will wear it and let it age natually ,any other builds will have light ageing (to tone down the factory shine) as i live in a county that has more than 10 months bright sunshine a year in the daylight my over aged watch looks like a bleep, bleep, bleep (badly looked after watch) but i suppose its like a faded pair of jeans some prefer them slightly faded and others like them much more faded and ripped !!!

  8. Just doing my usual round on tudor watch parts and came by a seller selling croc style leather straps stamped tudor and rolex they look good to me

around 40usd no trademark disclaimer shown, the rolex buckle straps look good not gen croc skin though, check him out before he gets banned or they sell out !!!

i havent got a link just write tudor watch parts on ebay !!!

  9. Exactly. Circa late 40s through early 60s.

It is difficult to place a value on a partial movement like this, since, as most of us long-timers well know, the sky is the limit when it comes to vintage Rolex. Especially, if the right buyer comes along. But, realistically, as-is, unless you are willing to hold it ad infinitum, I would price it at around $300 & accept anything over $100.

Thank you for your feedback Freddy !!! if it was a complete movement i would surly buy it and build a franken around it !!!!

  10. My friend has asked me to find out if this part of a rolex movement is a useful part he wants to put for sale on ebay but has no idea on an asking price or if its a /useful part all i know is it has been in his fathers watch bits n pieces for 30 plus years ! most parts are missing ,

If anyone can give any advice it will be appreciated ! i have no idea from what model it is from so here are some photos
