  1. I've always been curious how one gets to be a distributor of hight grade reps? Is it just having the right contacts overseas to pick and ship and then you have a pp account to broker the deal? On a $249 rep that the end user pays.. the profit has to be split between the 1. factory, 2. factory seller, 3. picker/shipper and 4. middleman/broker? Factory gets $69 for a watch they made for $25. (cogs cost of goods sold) The factory seller gets $20. The picker/shipper gets $60 and the broker gets $100 because he's got all the headaches dealing directly w/ the end user. Does that sound reasonable or am I way off?

  2. I've been wanting to pull the trigger on a 212 but EL warned me not to... he said the weight is way off compared to the gen not to mention all the other flaws. I can handle it not looking exactly like the gen because I just want a good looking watch... hands too long, too short.. big deal.. but if it's too light weight?

That's a deal breaker for me. Anybody know how many grams the 212 comes in at?

  3. Pan reps are like corn curls... you get one in you and you can't stop. Soon you'll have to have every color strap.. then you'll need more 44's for the lonley straps sitting in the drawer. Then comes 47.. ahhhh.. dumbell curls w/ a 187. Before you know it you'll be ordering a 251 and a 212 and using work address so the wife doesn't know you keep on buying and hope she doesn't notice they are new. "Is that a new watch?" "" No honey.. I've had this.. just put a new strap on it.. that's all."" hehe... it's my only vice.. could be worse.

  4. I thought I was obsessed w/ watches until reading this post.. now I feel normal.. almost. My wife

too does not understand.... "why do you need to keep on buying more watch straps? why do you have to have so many watches? They all look the same!! "
