Well , talk about kicking a man while he is down, lmao!!!!!,i have not been around and many people know why, but i have had a good friend call me to let me know about this particular thread, namor, u and The Zigmeister r funny guys, so i will address this like my southern personality usually does , I SMELL A RAT AND I CALL [censored] ON THIS WHOLE THREAD!!!!!! this is my first legit problem with a customer in open air , but funny thing is "why when im sick and not around,?" and this case was closed and fixed a long time ago , lol u r too funny i cant stay here long cause i have work to get done , over 100 jobs r waiting for me and i can not work like i was due to health problems, i have not left the building but only for temperarily reasons, i should not have to defend myself but i will for amusement for the great The Zigmeisterwamba and this namor guy namor - u had a king watch come to me, , i have done many, u paid for work to be done but not remove cyclops and reglue it , that is seperate, that raised area on your braclet was not touched by me and im sure i missed it because it is on the inside of the bracelet,but u told me it was on the outside of the bracelet but the picture shows the inside of the bracelet , make up your mind man (i had palpatine put u a brand new one on btw.) and the blowed up minor scratch in between crown guards was overlooked im sry ,im not perfect, but i do stand behind my work, how i fixed this , was he could send it to me and let me fix it, which is the normal thing to do, but u insisted u didnt want to do that and waited weeks in between our conversations to answer me, so whos fault is this , i mean if im upset i will respond immediately with someone that im upset with, (very childish of u imho) then u said u wanted palp to fix it so i paid him to fix your problems, case closed edited cause i just read u say watertesting wasnt done, lmao again blowing smoke screens huh? i have u know and these r facts i have waterproofed and tested over a thousand watches for the good people on this forum and if they leaked wouldnt u think u would be reading about it ( again u sent the watch to palpatine and i cant say he did waterproof it back like i do but that is what u wanted to do not me) now after all this time u want to complain cause u sent it to someone else to fix ) lmao u r too funy my friend , go get a life now ,!!! the real problem u had was u paid me and then u found out palpatine was cheaper so then u nickpicked the watch to death,because u said that palp was cheaper is how i came to this conclusion, the thing is u didnt realize when palp quoted u the prices he didnt add things i did to your watch so u didnt compare apples to apples u compared apples to oranges, again (childish of u and looking a deal i suppose) the only real thing i did wrong was overlooked some minor very fixable problems u had with the watch , but i told u i would pay for all the shipping and fix your minor problems with the watch and u wanted to send it to palp and i said fine with me and i paid him for fixing u up and now u still want to insult me and blow smoke screens about me, maybe i should have told u to go take a hike but i didnt , to be honest ,good people on the forum remember this the pics r blowed up on that very minor scratch even palp said it was small, and i dont think i did it but i could have but even so i fixed it that is the key word here I STAND BEHIND ALL MY WORK!! I DONT PAD BILLS AFTER I GET THEM LIKE SOME PEOPLE DO ON THIS FORUM, lmao now The Zigmeister u r so funny , when the new forum came up we talked privately about letting by gones be by gones and u were so friendly towards me but u to r a sneaky slithering forked tongue devil arent u (my point proven again) , just waiting for someone to say something or did u put him up to it? , lmao ,for me u dont bother me cause i dont have to live in your skin, but i think u just wanted to get the heat off your back with your problem customers, that is fine we can resume your childish fun to try and discredit me , doesnt bother me at all,(just remember im not base and im not shady) i wish we had all the things we talked about in front of us , like my prices and yours , i remember u showing off a piece u did that really was not up to par but i didnt say anything it was over at trc with one of your customers,(u asked and i actually wrote u some help to make it better) and then u told your price u charged him like u were way cheaper than me and i came on there and said that is funny cause u say im expensive for the same work but u were actually higher than me(i think it was like 10 bucks but nevertheless u were more and it doesnt bother me until u run your mouth ) , lmao u left quickly on that one as u always do when u see your hands getting slapped (like everytime we discuss our issues) lol the difference is and most people know this but i hate this has happend to the new guys because u just confused them, but i have been here working on watches for a long while,(as long as u mr. The Zigmeister) pretty much with 100% feedback till now(unlike u mr. zig) , sure many say im expensive but they again dont really compare apples to apples also i wish u guys could compare them side by side for the picky detail stuff then it will be clear, but that is the internet for u, the main thing is do a history check for over a year and u will see what the truth is, u get what u pay for and that is the bottom line, also u need to make sure it is the exact work done which has not been the case many times over, my prices really r about the same as over a year ago and i dont pad my bills in many cases i have sent money back because there watches didnt need this or that, and usually till now i talk to anyone and i will soon be back to that way again, it is just hard to talk alot when my breathing is eratic, i will not apologize for being sick and for sure i do not owe namor anything and or The Zigmeister anymmore of my precious breath , now u have it from the horses mouth and i thank the ones that were waiting patiently for me to answer this ludicrous thread and the real friends and customers have shined through once again, to sum it up The Zigmeister u r a snake as usual and namor u need a mental pill, and bandwagon peoople that love The Zigmeister seems like those r the only people who have problems with me lmao so i dont blame u guys i pity u cause u get work done from a snake that has a god like complex, lmao i still love all of u , i just dont understand none of u , that could be a good thing i guess lol

thats very nice, i would be interested to know if the subdial spacing is correct, if so then it is definitely the better choice for this watch , wear it well, for the record the braclet should fell cheap, cause it is lol

yes it can break but it is stiff enough , the thing is i dont recommend glueing this one to the movment only because it has so much space in the backside so a good jolt could break it free and or the heat from the sun etc. then it may pull through and your hands will come off and could scar your dial up, i ordered a dial feet soldering tool that is specifically made to set feet on a dial , and that will solve this problem

here is a very expensive strap , that i bought for my 6152-1 holy grail watch , but it was too new looking , so i distressed it but keep in mind i dont like the really worn looking ones just a soft thick vintage looking one is what i like and i think it came out pretty good, im not a big stickler on putting straps in clorox , because i feel it will make the leather crack faster and also it makes them hard, so i decided to work the leather instead of putting harsh chemicals on it, it is buttery soft and seems to make the strap appear to be more like a velvety discolored look , any way u be the judge heres some shots of the strap how it comes beside the one i distressed for comparison both r brand new and the star wars them dun dun du dun dun , lol little vintage lume shot for u with a back ground light on enjoy!!

the 4th generation po is very close to accurate case size to the genuine specs. and the dimensions on the lugs r pretty accurate as well from where the angle cuts in are , so if u source those parts lmk i would be interested in the dial and hands , i like the bezel insert and the helium valve , i would like a new crown also , lol so for me to make it almost perfect a new dial , hands and crown is good enough and get it up to the 99% bracket imho im working on a asian dial now that is much better than the existing one but to modd this for others it wouldnt be much more to buy the genuine dial if it is around a 150 bucks

let me tell u one thing subdial hands u need to be very steady or u will scar your dial , use tissue underneath and put a pair of latex gloves , and make sure u stay very steady cause if u slip u bascially ruined the dail usually , i have faith in u but i like to stress things that r more intense ok but if u do i have a xtra dial so no worries lmao let us know how it goes

So I bid on, and won, one of the CdG 6497 movements on eBay last week, mainly because it looked well-finished, and I wanted one to play with. Then people started questioning it - why did it say it was for 47mm, when it's the same movement used in 44s? What if it didn't come with a stem? Was the hour wheel going to be included? That made me wonder, too - did the seller even know about the movement he was selling? I decided this would probably be chalked up to a learning experience . . .I've certainly had more expensive ones . . . Today it came. The finish is as nice as I was hoping, though the pictures don't capture it too well: As you can see, though, it did come with a stem and crown. After checking it out for awhile I turned it over, and got a surprise: So that's why it was advertised as being for a 47 I don't know much about these - most that I've seen just say "Militaire Marina" (like Joe's super project), some include "Panerai" - but the type is crisp, the indice cuts are neat, and the glow is great, so it's a good place to start :

well there r a few holy grails and u have seen some i have done like the milgaus, the explorer dial james bond no lugs and a few others but this one is very special to me cause i do like big watches but i also love rolex , well this watch is numbered 6152-1 made for the cammanders(and one of two of the marina militares watches i consider a holy grail) (most knows i am working on the destro as well which is the other holy grail in the big watches to me), the case and movment ,8mm brevet crown is made by rolex for panerai , for the italina royal navy and i believe egyptian commaders got these as well, back in the early 50's , one just sold at antiquorium for 33,350 6152-1 reference ok here is my reproduction of this watch , it should have a solid caseback but i refinished the movment to look more realistic, this one should not have blue screws and should be really shiney , wheels and all , how do i know ? because i own the genuine movment , this is a great closeness of the movment btw, it is the mojina russan hand wind and it is a tank , one issue is if u uncase this movment u need to know what u r doing or u will never get the stem back in correctly (i promise) (i will soon do u a tutorial on this mechanism as well) other than that it is as gooad as a eta swiss imho i aged the dial to the radium color cause radium was used for this particular watch not tritium , so instead of the brownish color the tritium ages aka patina , radium ages to a more antique white/pale beige color -note the brevet crown should be more away from the case as u see i have done many things were done to this baby, and i love it better than a fiddy cause it is 47 mm just like the 1950 but what makes the fiddy so bothersome for me is the huge crown guard it makes the watch wear like a 55mm to me and looks too big on my wrist , the 6152-1 wears nicely and not too for me clown like lol i put me a MP vintage on it cognac and boy that strap feels so good on it also i think i figured out how to take lume shots now, dont u ? even those this stuff is called radium it still burns like a torch , do u agree? lol i will show three before and the rest after shots ok , enough talk , here she is !!!!!!!!!!!!! watch came from angus aka puretime he was great to make my watch dreams come true i really hope he enjoys this watch as well , this dial is not in existant other than him , believe me i looked around all the others have luminor panerai or something else written on it , so to me this is a reproduction not a knock off of a panerai lol because it is historical and a combo between rolex and panerai i feel it to be more realistic wowowo notice how the crown sits flat and flush to the side of the case , not good this is how the movment comes , all those blue screws and the dull finish and the wheels have oxidation on them and were not polished shiney like the genuin rolex movment here it is all to pieces heres the dial all done and put back together heres the movment all done serviced and cleaned and polished all the visible parts like the genuine rolex, shes ticking within 5 seconds which is very darn good (notice no more blue screws)lol heres pics of it all pretty note the brevet crown is more beveled and sticking out away from the case now , (details man details) note the movment cased and the caseback was fabbed by me , see it is plain with sappire thick glass, not that old mineral glass for my baby lol(guess what it is now waterproof to 50 feet so not worried about my water trips lol really hard to capture the shiney details in pictures because of lightbox glare i suppose NOW THE FRONT VIEW , JUST CAN T REALLY SAY ANYTHING , im asthmatic and really it is hard for me to breathe right now but i had to get this baby ready for easter to give u and myself a treat , i have had a tough time lately (and i said to myself its my damn turn to do a watch for me to keep my passion alive lol) this is one domed crystal so almost impossibe to get no glare but i think i did pretty good at it lol(i think it is a xtra large tropic 39 superdome XL lmao , little joke for nanug and ubi and xrt side profile shot so u can see the crown and the overall dimensions of the XL t39 superdome lol and the caseback and the longer horn lugs , btw i will make them thinner soon (details details man) AND FINALLY A DECENT PICTURE I TOOK OF A RELUME , LMAO TORCH TIME (that is a piece of the case on the 11'oclock marker edge it will be gone soon lol I CALL THIS THE STAR WARS PICTURE , "I am your father luke" roflmao can u hear the theme while u look at this one , duuun duuun du du duun duun , remember the song and these sounds will come to mind lmao this is how it glowed when it sat while i was downloading the pics so i wanted to show u it still glows good even in the light Well i hope u enjoyed our easter present and i hope u all have a great easter with family and loved ones, and i will see u around soon , btw i will be gone for a couple days for easter i think lol take care rbj69

also if it is just the hand u may can install the new hand yourself but u will have to remove the remaining fitting off of the subdial pin

u may have only seperated the little tube from behind the hand , if so u need to source a new hand or send it to The Zigmeister since u asked him the question, however i am aware he is stepping out of town for a couple weeks i would help out if it doesnt interfere with The Zigmeister , i am by no means trying to get his work i am only offering to help his customers out while he is away , if u choose to do this pm me and i can tell u the details through pm and if u can take a good up close picture of that area and the hand that is removed backside i can tell u more ok

no the dial blanks r genuine , and the chinese r painting them and printing them , but just the blanks they use r correct , that is why they cut the feet off and glue them on the dial dots with adhesive , that just like epoxy , in time it will come undone, that is my purpose for purchasing this new tool , im not big on gluing stuff to a movment or dial for that matter cost would be determined soon but im sure it will cost no more than i charge for replacing a dial or if u just sent me some dials to install the fee on them it would be cheaper probably like around 20 bucks or less depending on how hard it really is lol
