this is how i do it ,it does a more accurate hole and then this is what i use the clean it up on the buffer like so showing u in this pic how small the jewelers press really is , remember there is always the right tool to make the job better , that is the difference in oval holes and straight holes , doing it by hand u must hold the case really steady and be careful not to slip this pics is showing u the vise i use to hold the case in place while i drill a very accurate hole , more than likely this is the same way the experts do it then i use a diamond graduated point to ream the hole ever so slightly u dont want it to bevel too much and then i use this buffing wheel to bring back that polished finish remember sometimes the preholes r angled the dril press tends to straighten them out a bit , hope this small tutorial helps u, just trying to do what i can to help u guys out , enjoy

well i tried the 2892 and it would not work but the one i tried came out of a rep , date postition was off and u couldnt change the date wheels , so i ordered a silver eta 2836 and today came the wrong movment which was ok cause it worked and it fit like a glove , the date font is the one eta puts on them which i think is better than the ones the chinese put on ours as a cover plate , well i decided to make a whole new thread because it is a upgrade so belongs in this thread , happy new year all oh yeah the gold screws r brass so no chance of fading them on these watches, and they may tarnish so im in the process of sterling silver plating them , wish me luck here is the new movment with rotor , im also thinking about attempting to cut part of the rotor off on both sides to make it smaller like the genuine , what u think ? or does it look good as is now ?
-
ok well the screws r now silver plated so out with the brass and in with the white gold look , and the movment is done and fitted with new date wheel, so what do u think? its getting there and much better in my opinion but i want to know yours thoughts, keep in mind in the pics they r blowed up so shadowning does occur and lint is present but u try taking good pics of stuff like this and u will see what im saying , this beauty looks good in person , i did take a pic so u can see the way they were besid how they r to give u the idea of the transformation ok , enjoy and happy new year , i think i will be sporting this baby with a martini tonight lol the front the back

Well this is my first high end watch that i owned , and the only one that really means something to me, my step father , which is really who raised me since i was three years old gave me this watch when i graduated high school back in the 80's and really because i was excepted in college, and i wore it for a long time till i really got obsessed with watches lol then my income level rose and so did my taste for watches lol , but i on occasions would still where this watch it feels like home when i put it on if u know what i mean, but as timed changed the watch started looking to old manish for me lol it is 38 mm quickset datejust 160013 model two tone, well i do like to gamble sometimes so i call it my casino watch or my "bling bling" watch i tried to keep it not too gaudy and keep it elegant and classy , so what do u think the case was pretty banged up as well so i took it all apart refinished it and put a new tropic 135 on it and had a great friend of mine make me a black mother of pearl dial with vs-1 diamonds and i decided i didnt want too blingy so i had him me me a 1.25 ct bezel for it , well enjoy and i hope u like it , i took several differnt lighting pics so u can see the true colors of the dial this is how it is originally this is the final outcome some different wrist shots and yes if i didnt already own the genuine watch i would have done me one up in a replica for sure , lol

Well my friend sent me these little homage acylic pearls for the vintage lover, they might not be perfect but better than what i have seen , , also this one has a little more of the michael young effect on the markers , lugholes drilled out ,beveled and polished, cgs, tropic 39 crystal , rivetted braclet , and refinished the top of the case to give it that refinished at the factory look , minty fresh , now opening bid is 15 grand lol , im kidding its not mine to sell , i just thought u would like to see it , enjoy it , it is a wm comex same as double red seadweller just different dial print , thats all some natural pics of it now

this person had me put a lv dial and fat hands and a black insert and all the other works put on his black sub, he said he loved a maxidail and fat hands but didnt like the green so we basically souped up his black sub , and here is a red sub for u to see as well that i modified , enjoy and tell me what u think of it, sry for the yellow hue on the pics dont really know where that came from , but u can see the watch good it just isnt that yellow looking ok vintage red sub with all the bells and whistles
-
this is a supposedly 14kt real gold two tone ladies datejust , it looks like it could be but i havent tested it , but what i did was put a aftermarket black diamond dial in it ,all the ones they have offered r either too blingy or too plain ,and she loves it , it is clean and classy looking but not too blingy if u know what i mean , it is a watch that if someone saw it in person wouldnt think it was a fake and or u couldnt afford it lol which we cant lol enjoy oh and i straightend and pressed the crystal and waterproofed it and it seems to be ok for the leisure swim check out how tall the crystal sits , nice huh
-
well as some know i got me a breitling shark a little while back used, and it had a nasty scratch and or scar on the crystal and the case had some dings in it and the pushers were not lined up correctly , i guess they were wore out lol it is a older one u know, well i refinished the whole watch and put a new slightly thicker sapphire crystal in it , and wowow well u tell me what u think this is before shots , notcie the top pusher is way taller than the bottom one see the scar near the ten oclock and the dents on the ring just outside the crystal now here is it all restored , enjoy see the pushers r nice and even now
-
this is the chinese seadweller and if u do things like the cgs, new insert and polish up the bezel , cleaned her up and aligned everything, and of course checked it for water resistance, u can achieve one to look good like this one , sure they all have flaws but they can be made to feel and look much better than u get them , dont u think ?check out these inner and outer cgs and stuff i did , enjoy

ok many know me by now and know i type as i speak , plain english and no big words , but im guessing now u guys know me and can understand me , well at least i hope u can lol what i will be showing u is how i fix the release mechanism if u push it out of the socket so to speak, this one was pretty bad he bent some things i had to straighten out and piece back together, ok lets start , remember my pointer is the screwdriver ok first of all u take the hands , dial and datewheel off , this is a mbw, so there is glue to tend with and u have to be really careful while taking the dial off or u could bend it pic of the , hands ,dial, and datewheel and top of the movment once removed im pointing with a screwdriver in this pic to show u the release spring for the datewheel u simply push it in to release it , also the big screw underneath my screwdriver/pointer i loosend a bit , reason for that will be coming up this is how it looks when u push the stem release mechanism too hard notice how the sparts r bulging outward now the fix, we have to remove the top plate , remove this screw remember that screw below the datewheel release spring i said earlier u need to loosen but not remove here is why , when u do this it makes it easier to pull the top plate out see the little lip on the top plate , it slides under that plate/big screw i loosened at the datewheel release spring , here is the little lip and where it slides under now u have to loosen this screw and remove this piece , i dont know the correct name for this piece but u can see what im doing in the pic . also where that screw driver is do u see the bend in it, this where the person pushed really hard and bent this piece way on the other side , u really have to push it to achieve this bend lol hey he didnt know and i commend him trying to do some work himself , sometimes trying something is how u learn another shot of the bend at the screw ok now u have to remove the little arm im showing it simply pulls upwards off the post im pointing at now u pull the stem release mechanism out to reposition in its correct place , like a puzzle backside shot of the pusher , this post im showing is what u actually r pushing on to release the stem from the movment now all u do is reverse everything i just showed u and put it back together some key points is in this pic, make sure this arm is around the little post on top of the release mechanism and make sure u push the u shaped spring over to the side of the little metal piece im showing , it is spring action and when u push the stem in and out to change date or time , it helps push the arm up and down after u get everything lined up and positioned correctly , u put your top plate back on like so making sure u slide the little lip back under that plate im showing and tighten that screw and put your top plate back in place and tighten it down this is how it looks with it all in order and as u can see the bent parts r straight and looking good , lol after pushing in and out the stem testing it now u can put your datewheel back on , u have to push in that little spring i showed u at the top to get the datewheel to lock in position now it all works properly , and u can smile and now take a breath of air lol enjoy , i know im not a english major and i never claimed to be, i tried to make it fun and simple for u to understand just wanted u to know if u try this at home u have to have patience and if u r nervous or shakey i wouldnt recommend working on watches lol cheers now for the best part after a job is completed ..... BEEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
