Absolutely stunning! What a piece.

The time is part of the fun, W. Can't wait to see the results, and maybe see the quest along the way.
-
I'm a little late, but I used the Franken 250 to time the turkey!
-
Here is a lume shot of the 250. It was shot right after walking inside from a cloudy day, and was taken on my Blackberry Storm. For some reason, the hands appear to be a different color than the dial -- it does not generally look like this in person. The glow is very bright at first, but dims off a bit after a couple of minutes, but maintains a steady glow all night.

I'll kill someone for a nice 250 dial.
You are a fortunate guy with these two beauties. Well done my friend!
No need to kill! You never know what the future holds!

Zig, I'll post some later. I will say, though, that generally my impression is that the SL that you apply is equal to that from the factory, especially with regard to sandwich dials. Some of the painted dials may vary slightly, but that is because you apply by hand, whereas theirs are silk-screened.
But in general, the glow is as bright (in some cases brighter) and lasts just as long.

See, Toad, that's absolutely stunning.
-
That does look great.

I can't give up my sources! Needless to say, without a lot of help from many members here, watches like these just wouldn't be possible.

Awesome watch. This is by far my favorite of the Cousteau editions. Congrats to you, and Zig, wonderful work as usual.
-
I simply cannot believe how good Zig's work is. Stunning.
-
I think it looks great. The only things I'd do to it are to send it to Zig for his T color lume treatment and change the DW. Other than that, it's great. Of course, it looks really, really good as is. Good work on the crown guard pin.

My apologies for the quality of the photos, but I wanted to share a recent addition to the family.
Many of you have seen the 111 in other posts (gen dial, hands, crown, crown guard, movement), but the 250 is a recent addition. The 250 has a gen dial, hands and crown (hopefully CG to come in the future), with swiss 7753 (fully serviced) and Leo datewheel.

Watches? All I see is an avatar.

If this goes where I think it's going, I'll have one in a heartbeat. I like what they're trying to do.
-
Color me impressed. This one is pretty close!

Great pickup! What a beauty.

This isn't surprising, for sure, but in the last few years the sales have been off the charts. I hoped they saved some cash.
Where is the corresponding rep growth/loss chart over the same period.

Great review.
I've had mine a couple of days now and love it to bits, I'm gonna have it serviced and re-lumed but thats it.
Yesterday, I needed to get a key cut, so I asked them (Timpsons in the UK.They do shoe repairs, cut keys and replace watch batteries )If they would pressure test my U2.
"Sorry", the guy said "we'd need to send it away to be done because its rated to 200m."
I said ,"look closely, that says 2000m "
"We can't test it that deep, it will have to be sent away", Like talking to a brick wall, it was
"Just do it to 30m" i said, " I opened the back up to have a look and just want to know that I've put it back right" I lied.
I did n't tell him it was a rep.
I went to pick it up half an hour later and asked,
"Well, how did it do?"
The guy replied "I tested it down to the maximum our machine will do"
"Not 30m? " I said.
"It says 2000m on the dial" he said " Our machine will only do down to 100m"
"Are you telling me that it is water resistant to 100m at least"
"Yes" he says
I have n't even took the back off and greased the o-ring and its passed a 100m pressure test.
Unbelievable, this is a mega rep and I can't recomend it enough.
The only fault is that the strap seems to collect micro-fluff. I know now that I can run it under the tap though
I've heard that the strap is the weak link with the watch. Easy to fix that though.
Good to know about the water test.

It is awesome. Based on your pic and others I ordered one today. The wait begins.

Thanks fellas. Still a work in progress!

Franken dial, hands, crown, crown guard and movement.

Loving this watch.

There's not a lot good to say about this version. Wrong dial font, wrong crown, wrong color dial. What's going on with the subseconds, etc., etc.
Question: Old PAM 196 (old case & dial)
in The Panerai Area

I can personally attest that the gen dial will fit a swiss 7753![;)](https://rwg.cc/datastore/emoticons/emoticons/default_wink.gif)
