  1. IMHO this is one of the very few panerai reps that really looks like a gen from the photos. I am always surprised when people pay 800-1200 for an assembled pam rep which to my eye still looks 100 percent like a rep. (rehaut, cg issues, crystal distortion/cloudy, dial finish etc etc)

We have waited a long time and its great to see some gen like watches.

It will be interesting to see what this does to the used prices on the other more expensive luminor reps.

It's going to destroy the prices. I think if anything, the market for frankens will stay the same, but little hero? Nope. Ultimate crystals and cases and all that no longer mean anything. This is a truly stunning example.

  2. Thanks mmm.

Andrew has always advertised a 2/14 ship date, so I'll be patient, but I haven't even seen QC pics yet.

It's tough watching others get others watches and not knowing the status of my order. If I don't receive my QC pix today, I'll email Andrew.

    Just keep telling myself...Patience...Patience...Patience...Patience... :frusty:

Based on the picture in your signature, can't you find other things to occupy your time? ;)

  3. Little sketchy for him to say not to post QC pics.

If you cannot return watches anymore due to QC pic policy you should be able to do whatever you want with them and they should have nothing to hide.

I don't disagree with you at all. Just didn't want to risk him not shipping. I mean, he didn't threaten, but it was a risk I didn't want to take.

  4. So I assume that rep will be killer. Perhaps it is needing that little fix on the lever. But as soon as it is reviewed here I pull the trigger!

I wish I could post the pics I received, which were high res. But Josh's email asked us not to, and I'm not going to risk pissing him off until after I know that watch has been shipped!

  5. J series is the transitional series where the roller ball lever was 1st time introduced.. early numbers of J series does not have lever while the later numbers does.. no idea which range of serial numbers the roller ball levers were 1st introduced..

You're exactly right. I had a gen 111 in that series, number in the 400s, and I had the roller ball. At a GTG in DC, I saw an earlier J (in the 100s) with no roller ball, so it had to have happened some time after that.
