In the words of one Hiltonian philosopher, "That's hot."
-
That watch is almost as hot as HikeUSA's avatar. Almost.

I thought you were going to let me know when pics were posted! Looks amazing!
The week starts off for me like this... Fully modded Pre-A 002 -
That watch is unbelievable. Simply awesome.
-
Absolutely stunning! Thanks so much for sharing. Zig never ceases to amaze.

I'm sorry... I don't follow. This is a rep?
-
It really is a great looking watch. Very nice strap choice, as well. Makes the watch pop.

Just got the 111 back from Vac, and loving it.

Oh, and here is a pick taken on the Storm. Not bad, eh?

I've used one unofficial operating system, and it was fine. Only reason that I don't download each one is because I have a BES, and each OS knocks me off and I have to have the IT folks reconnect it.
Just BACK UP YOUR FILES, and you'll be fine.
.75 works ok for me, though. Based on what I'm hearing, the next official OS should be a revelation.

So much better on the pin. I'd made it about half-way down the page and was going to comment that it looked upside down. It really looks great with that pin reversed. Well done.

I really like the new movements. I like that they're simply done, utilitarian, even. Very in keeping with the character of the brand IMO.
-
Watch those date fonts. It's good news, though. I love the new watches. Other issue is that the movements are in-house, which look, well, in-house.
Mickey-I would hang tough. As you know the whole gen 8 day and new 72 hour series are based off a smaller fiddy case (akin to 212 without pushers) and supposedly there are going to be some kick ass reps of the newer stuff on the way in the next few months.

A ghost for $4850?!?! I didn't realize the market was that far off.
Actually I believe those days are largely gone. Watch sales are down 26% at Rolex and 35+% at most of the premium brands. Ain't no one getting a premium on much of anything these days. I can't comment on Patek as they are out of my league. The illusory PAM handwinds that we used to never see in NYC are now readily available in the AD's and grey market dealers. In fact the AD's in NYC and DC are offering a discount to list now. I was thinking about wandering into the Panerai store and seeing what they are doing.
At this point with the secondary market crumbling I would think long and hard before buying from an AD. The last two Zenith based Daytonas sold for $8-9k when they were $13-14k 4 months ago. BP's have simlarly fallen from a solid $10-12k to $8k. And on the PAM's you can almost name your price. A 237 Ghost which was solid at $7500 + just traded for $4850. If you put out a WTB on Risti for a 233 you can buy as many as you want in the 9's and at least one person I spoke to was into the 8's. So unless you have found one of very few watches go tell that dealer to remove his head...

The blue is very unique. I like it a lot.

FGD, wonderful work. That you so much for what you do for the community.
-
You know what might fit? A swiss 7753 and a gen dial.
-
A likely story...

This project is a winner. Congrats to you.
-
I can see why. It's a looker!
-
To me it all depends on the thickness of the CG at the top. Hard to tell from those photos. Why don't you send it to me and I'll inspect it a bit more closely?
-
What a pair!

Looks amazing, W. Congratulations.

I'm sorry that it isn't working. Like I said, unacceptable for a $500 watch. That's like, three Seiko monsters or something.
It is an amazing looking thing, though.
