  1. Pete send me one . the one on the 236k is actually pretty good. I will not touch it. The one i had before use to dig into my wrist a bit and leave marks. This one is much better. I guess oil bathing it and brillo works
  2. cant seem to find the edit option. I would just link to my page with pictures. If mod is reading, please delete the photos so people have easier time to load page. thanks the new bracelet is like this http://i.ebayimg.com/13/!CF1zWegCWk~$(KGrHqUOKjUE0Qzk!5PBBNWW0F6gJQ~~0_12.JPG
  3. FXRANDY: sorry about that. Honest mistake. I dont post that much, and will be getting a VIP account . thanks
  4. BGGodwin thanks, do the pics look outrageously big on monitor? Maybe I should have uploaded somewhere else and linked. yes I do love it on metal bracelet, although it weighs a ton heh. Very solid feeling watch. Will most likely be my daily. I actually like the new version of the metal bracelet, but dont feel like buying it. I bet the watch can also look good on a nice black or brown gator. But for now its staying AS IS. I looked at the GEN pictures and this is amazingly close. I am enjoying this as much as i would enjoy wearing a GEN. But there is no way I would buy a gen for 8+k . This is the best option IMO for fraction of cost.
  5. Just got the Panerai 236k I bough from PeteM. Super great guy to deal with. Super fast shipping even though from UK to USA. Packaged it well. Turns out I just bought a 236k from another member on Repgeek, but it was missing some minor mods, so decided to buy this one and sell my first purchase. EDIT BY FXRANDY come on you know the rules if you want to sell on the board VIP mmembership is required, its only 2cts a day! Here are some pictures I just took. Sorry not the greatest photographer. Tell me what you guys think. THanks http://www.flickr.com/photos/ilyailya more photos and other watches. sorry for large size pics.
  6. I have one, and the only major tell i can see is: what holds the little hands, is SS looking on gen, rep those circles are black. and crown guard pin looks flat/not polished. (i think easy fix?) Uploaded with ImageShack.us any one ever sand down the metal bracelet to be less sharp on inside corners? mine is cutting my wrist a bit. I was thinking about using grinding stone etc?
  7. Own a 2005 s2r ducati monster tangerine red. stored for winter now. 800cc. bought 2 years ago. Nice bike. getting a chip/tuning done oil change and timing belts done soon.
  8. I like the watch, it looks mint, not a scratch, the leather strap is HUGE. (my wrist is pretty small) but I think the watch is still a keeper. Keeps excellent time . (and looks fairly close to gen) has swiss eta movement. Now i own a theorema skeleton , pam 001 rep i bought like 4-5 years ago . a two tone navitimer ( really nice looking automatic watch even thought not super accurate ). and a gshock i wear to work. thanks for info ilya
  9. Ok FINALLY got my watch from a friend watch repairman . He said that some one oiled it with wrong oil and it gummed up. So he fixed that and it runs great now. Seller offered to help with bill too. SO all is good. thanks for all the info. Ilya sorry pictures are not great.
  10. watch smith says they cleaned it few times, watch runs but then stops. Does not know why. Another person will take a look at it tomorrow. basically another 79 bux gone and watch is not running . Contacted seller, will see what he says. thanks guys.
  11. So you saying it was not worth the $ I paid for it? I just gave it to a shop to have it serviced. Hopefully i dont have to pay too much. So far they saying that it stops for some reason after cleaning. He had a decent feedback on the site, so i figured he would be ok to deal with. You always take a chance online i guess. thanks for the replies guys. I will keep every one posted once I get it repaired and take some pictures.
  12. I don't want to end up w/o a watch nor the $. He is a trusted seller on repgeek, but still taking a chance. I feel like i deserve a partial refund? I paid about 470 for this version. I dont have pictures of it right now. but it is the engraved correct swiss version. thanks
  13. hi, I have purchased a 1950 fiddy from one of the sellers on repgeek . Just got the watch . It looks great, but the movement is not working. When I try to wind it, it feels like its fully wound. What should I do? Is it an easy fix? Previous owner said it might be gummed up oil. (watch was lubed and regulated) thank you
  14. what hap to previous versions? any for sale? ; )
  15. Crabtree and evelyn has some good creams/soaps i am sure. also i used proraso soap which was pretty nice in round container and cheap. (old old brand thats been around forever from what i read) i actually have a badger brush from the Crabtree store. its pretty nice . but firm
  16. wops, did not realize i did not post first link to one i wanted lol NOT GEN. http://www.replica-watches-guide.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=5162 this one . but I still dont get why that site is so cheap. Ebay sells them for double..
  17. freddy333 they look so nice and clean, i bet you NEVER wear them just model them haha
  18. how about this one? thinking about jumping on white face. better movement , fairly close rep? or for 4500 bux http://www.usawatches.net/daytona_white.htm ; )
  19. always wanted to get the 1950 . I d like to know the same info. There is a aged one for sale on forum, but not sure if thats exactly what I am looking for. Plus its around 500 bux. Maars, got pictures of 111h? how much was it? I have old 4 year + version of 111h , its a really nice looking watch. I gave to dad he wears it on rubber strap. I took it few days ago and its pretty cool . Also liked looking at the movement through the back. Enjoy it man.
  20. I use Gillette powerglide 5 blades and bought a new Schick hydro 3 and 5 blade (haven't tested yet). I ve tried using old school methods etc . They work but take too much time in my opinion. I do use badger brush with some paste/cream, which works pretty nice, but i m also able to use a can foam/gel as well for similar results. Also I read a article about shaving which states that you should shave with cold water and reasons why. I know what you are thinking ( are you crazy?) well I went and tried it, and aside from being a bit uncomfortable from tugging feel ; I gotten a REALLY close shave. But I do still prefer to shave during showering (with hot water ) ; ) . want to try braun shaver with self cleaning, the one thats like 260+ bux, but I doubt I will love it. Find what works for you and stick to it. or mix it up from time to time.
  21. Just started using Degree men clinical protection .( YOu put it on at night ) works pretty good. Also used/use with previous :degree men antiperspirant & deodorant invisible stick but i think this one leaves yellow stains on white shirts. I hear deodorants that they sell along with COlognes ie.polo sport etc, dont leave stains, but that is probably since they are deodorants and not antiperspirants . want to try secret as well. I hear people have good results with those. good luck
  22. sometimes a 2005 ducati monster s2r 800 , but might sell this year. Not really enjoying it as much where i live and drivers suck in ny. Plus i am more of a car guy. and just picked up a 2010 audi a5 white . 2.0 turbo had a 1997 lexus es300. Probably the best car i owned so far ; ) but audi is nice too.
  23. i ve had good luck with Buffalo jeans ( they look a little like diesels) I also have a few guess jeans which are not bad either. I got most of my jeans at burlington coat factory. I think any stores carry a decent selection of jeans nowdays, You can try express, and maybe even H&M . if they fit good just buy them. No one will ask u what brand they are unless some one really likes them on you .
