  1. I just placed an order for the noobfactory replica of the 16610 with the asian ETA 2836 clone for $93, which seems like an exceptional deal. This is part of a test drive, I have been contemplating a GEN purchase of either a Rolex GMT II or a Vacheron Constantin Overseas, and I wanted to get a better sense as to which style of watch would I prefer in the metal. I like the practicality of the GMT complication, particularly one which has the quickset on the main 12 hour hand, which has never been adequately replicated on either a replica, or more affordable genuine watches, with the exception of the Omega Seamaster GMT. However, a Vacheron seems a bit more off the beaten path, and after taking into account the larger discounts one can receive on a Vacheron, the price differential between the Rolex GMT and Vacheron Overseas isn't too substantial. Any thoughts about the relative merits of the Rolex GMT as compared to the Vacheron Constantin Overseas, in terms of styling, GMT complication notwithstanding?
  2. Perhaps you were thinking of the 2836 movements decorated to look like Rolex movements, which are referred to as Rolex clone movements by the replica makers.
  3. Okay, I ended up placing an order with Watcheden: http://www.watcheden.com/vacheron-constantin-overseas-swiss-eta-movement-with-black-dial-s-s--version-i-46623-p-1.html For their 1:1 replica with the Swiss ETA 2836 movement. After the $20 coupon, it came to $258 shipped, which was quite a bit less than the one from Perfect Clones ($348+shipping). My understanding is that the only difference is the movement, which is a nickel plated Swiss ETA 2824 in the Perfect Clones version. Hopefully this was a good decision.
  4. Does anyone have any thoughts about this Noobfactory Submariner (non-ceramic bezel) with an asian 2836 movement for $93? http://www.timesshop.net/product.php?id_product=6416 It seems like a fantastic deal, and I was wondering what would be next level of replica above something like this, and what the critical differences would be. For me, the asian 21j movement on other entry level Submariner replicas is a dealbreaker, due to the 6 bps vs 8 bps sweep.
  5. By the way, if there are any forum members interested in selling their Vacheron Constantin Overseas replica, please PM me. Thanks.
  6. Thanks for the information, is there any difference between the top of the line replicas from the different dealers, and is there one you particularly recommend for their quality and price? The AR upgrade seems like a relatively easy thing to do, but how were you able to source an OEM dial? Also, straight from the dealer, does the white or black dial seem truer to the OEM dial?
  7. I am interested in a Vacheron Constantin Overseas (non-chronograph model) replica which is of high quality, and contains an ETA movement. I have been looking at the Swiss upgraded model offered by Joshua, at $348, and was wondering if anyone has had experience with this particular replica, and have thoughts about how true it is to the genuine article, and whether the price is reasonable for what you're receiving.
  8. I posted some photos of my Patek Calatrava replicas in the following post: Patek Calatrava Replicas Of these, the 3520D replica is perhaps the most accurate, with a simple plain solid caseback. It is a quartz movement, as opposed to an automatic, but since it only has two hands (no second hand), the quartz movement isn't too much of a giveaway.
  9. Perfect Clones seems to have a nicer replica of this model. http://www.1-pc8838.com/carcc10001-calibre-cartier-ssle-white-asian-2813-auto-p-8734.html
  10. Yes, I believe that you should look into the 36mm 5116 and 5119, which are the same size, but the 5116 has an enamel dial instead.
  11. I just found out that the 32mm 2 hand Patek Calatrava replica I showed in my original post is based on the Patek Philippe Calatrava 3520, which was replaced with the 35mm 5120 a few years ago.
  12. You're probably referring to the Calatrava 3919, which is supposed to be 33.45mm in diameter according to this discussion: http://indepth.watchprosite.com/show-nblog.post/ti-352122/ However, Patek has replaced this model with the 5116, which is 36mm, like the replica I showed in my original post.
  13. I don't think Patek makes a dress watch which would fit your needs, the largest ones they have seem to be the 37mm 5127G. However, the Vacheron Constantin Patrimony is a 40mm watch, so perhaps that should be something to look into?
  14. Thanks for the pointer, I looked at Perfect Clones, and the only Patek Calatravas with Swiss movements they had had too busy a dial design for my tastes. However, they do have a Vacheron Constantin Patrimony which has the elegant clean look I am looking for, with a Swiss 2824 movement. Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Swiss 2824-2 @ Perfect Clones
  15. These are some of the replica Patek Philippe Calatravas and a Vacheron Constantin Patrimony that I've recently received, all of them are exceptionally elegant dress watches: Patek Philippe Calatrava 5127G, 37mm (with automatic Asian mechanical movement) Patek Philippe Calatrava 5116G, 36mm (with manual Asian mechanical movement) Perhaps an older and smaller 32mm variant of the Patek Philippe Calatrava 5120G which is 35m (with Quartz movement) Vacheron Constantin Patrimony 81180.000G, 40mm (with Quartz movement) All of them have stainless steel cases, and Sapphire crystals, and most notably, the Vacheron has a domed Sapphire crystal, which is a particularly nice touch. They are all quite modestly priced, and I wish the replica makers would come out with a super replica of one of these watches, which doesn't break the bank. Any leads on this would be greatly appreciated.
  16. So, I just received my replica of the Patek 5127. It was the one with the metal bracelet which I showed in my first post, but I replaced the bracelet with a nice genuine crocodile strap, and while the date location is still a bit off, it does look quite credible, at least from the front. I would be interested in hearing what other forum members think of it. For comparison, the last photo is that of the real Patek 5127.
  17. Thanks for the pointer to the $20 coupon, I would have missed it otherwise. Before stumbling onto this forum, I purchased a replica of the Patek Calatrava 3919, with an asian mechanical movement. This cost about $40 and another $20 for shipping from TaoBao, the chinese equivalent of eBay. Pictures are attached. I would still very much like something which looks like the 5127 however.
  18. I have been looking for a source to purchase a high quality rep of the Patek Calatrava 5127: but have not been very successful. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be very helpful. Most of the reps I've seen do a poor job with the date window, or add the word "AUTOMATIC" to the dial. I wanted to ask for opinions about some of the options I've found. In particular, the first two have the hobnail bezel instead of the smooth bezel, do there correspond to some historical Pateks? The third one on a metal bracelet looks like a reasonable fit, except that the date window is too far from the edge. And the last one might be a fantasy model, since I've never seen that case with a 2 hand design, only with the small seconds hand at 6 o'clock. At the moment, I am a bit unsure about which one to pick, but am somewhat leaning to the last one, since it has such a simple, clean, and elegant design, which to me is the essence of the Patek Calatrava... even if they don't actually have one like this model. To me, it seems most evocative of the 5196: except that it does not have the small seconds hand at 6 o'clock.
