  1. You're welcome, it is a wonderful watch. I got the Nautilus with the blue dial, since the gen 5711 is only available in stainless steel with bracelet in that dial color. The Nautilus 3711 with bracelet in white gold is available with the black dial (and maybe the grey) but the look of stainless steel is less warm than that of white gold.
  2. Okay, it's now over $6K! The dial is quite nice, but the day/night indicator in a moonphase aperture should give a person pause. The biggest tell is the ugly movement in the display caseback.
  3. Hope you're able to fix the Pam. The AP RO is a thing a beauty, it's definitely next on my list. I already have the Vacheron Constantin Overseas and the Patek Philippe Nautilus, so the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is the natural thing to round off the collection of high-end sports watches.
  4. The original... Julie Marie Geyskens. I used tineye to find it: http://www.tasoeur.biz/images/2011/01/12/Julie-Marie-Geyskens-15.jpg
  5. These are photos of the Patek replicas I have. The one on the left is a quartz 3520DG. I purchased that from a seller on Taobao.com, but it no longer seems to be available.
  6. There are quite a number of different Chinese tourbillon manufacturers, it would be helpful if you could post photos of all four movements, and let us know which ones had issues.
  7. Gran, thanks for sharing photos of your AP Tourbillon, it looks wonderful. It looks like your AP uses the same PTS (Hangzhou) tourbillon movement as the JLC I ordered. The AP deployant clasp is very classy, the guilloche dial is incredibly detailed, very nice indeed. Anyhow, for those who like the look of the gen JLC Master Tourbillon, but find the real tourbillon to be too much money, there seems to be a "open heart" version, as least according to this entry at Watcheden. JLC Master Tourbillon (faux, open heart)
  8. I should note that the number on the dial is the serial number. Breguets are sufficiently low volume in their production that each dial is individually serially numbered. The reference number should be on the caseback.
  9. I believe the movement is a PTS Hangzhou Tourbillon movement, which is a 28.8kbph movement, and is supposed to be quite reliable. They can keep time very well, and my suggestion is for you to get the dealer to do a timegraph test, so you know what the accuracy is. One issue is that it can be difficult to find a watchsmith who is capable of servicing the movement. I have found a photo of the gen, from a for sale listing. The replica looks quite good, but I wouldn't worry too much about "flaws", since anyone who knows about Breguet will know that their tourbillons are in the $100K price range, and that's probably a difficult thing to pull off. The back of the tourbillon movement in the replica is not going to fool anyone familiar with high end movements, but this is true of just about any movement in a watch costing more than $10K. 10. Hi, I'm looking at a bunch of dressy chronograph replicas based on the Seagull ST19 movement, and I would appreciate any opinions you might have about the shortlist I've complied, as well as any suggestions of replicas I might have missed. 1. Patek Philippe (Fantasy) Chronograph Moonphase http://www.asian7750.com/cn/product_show.asp?big_pid=&ps_id=97&P_id=388&ti= The gen Pateks with chronograph and moonphase complications are also perpetual calendars, and this is a photo of one of them: 2. 11. Yeah, but the same phrase "Regulateur a Tourbillon" shows up on the gen as well, and it isn't a regulator either (in that the hours, minutes, and seconds are not on separate subdials). I'm willing to give JLC the benefit of doubt...
  12. While the 6R15 is a low beat, it is a direct driven second hand, so it doesn't have the second hand stutter which might be the thing bothering you.
  13. That's a cool looking watch, I only wish it had a sapphire crystal.
  14. Hi, I've received QC photos of a JLC Master Tourbillon. If there are any flaws or issues you notice, please let me know. A question for the experts, is a beat error of 0.6 ms acceptable?
  15. This is probably the chinese clone of the MBK Nautilus. The main differences from the 1:1 cartel version is the date wheel font. date window location (too far from edge of dial), and the solid caseback. I believe this particular replica is also available in a variety of movements. Which movement did you choose, and what price have you been quoted for it?
  16. That might be the annual calendar. Most perpetual calendars have some means of indicating which year of the 4 year leap-year cycle one is in.
  17. Another vote for the GMT IIC, if you travel a great deal, Rolex's GMT complication is by par the best implementation. You set your home time with the 24 hour hand, and the 12 hour hand can be quickset to reflect the local time. This makes total sense, since you want the 12 hour hand to reflect the local time, since it is the most prominent hour hand, and you don't really need the watch to tell you if it is day or night locally. However, the 24 hour hand tells you what time it is (and whether it is day or night) at home. Most other GMT complications have a quickset on the 24 hour hand, and it just isn't natural in my opinion. Furthermore, there is no reliable replica of this GMT complication.
  18. How about: http://www.skywatches.com.sg/reviews/seiko-automatic-mens-100m-dive-watch-skx031k2-skx031.htm
  19. Does this work even with mirror finished stainless steel?
  20. What do you use for a mic with Kello. I assume it works best with the case back removed? Seems reasonable enough if you're planning on opening up the watch to regulate it anyway. I was almost tempted to get a timegrapher on eBay for $250.
  21. If by worse, you mean more scratch prone, it could be that the gen bracelet has a finer mirror polish, which would make even minor scratches extremely noticable.
  22. I was about to jump on the CHS rerelease, but it sounds from your review that they haven't yet fixed the reliability issues with the CHS modification? I would love to get my hands on a GMT IIC with CHS that is sufficiently reliable for me to use it to set the time whenever I travel.
  23. These are some some Patek and Vacheron replicas which I posted previously:
