  1. Oh I see, okay thanks. By the way that thing is awesome, I am jealous as hell.
  2. Does it have a green tinge to the bezel, how did you get such a color? Also did the dial look like that originally, whats your secret to giving it that matte look?
  3. Did this one a lot because I have an extra insert, I think I prefer it only slightly lighter than normal though. The ones below me look really nice think I'll go for that.
  4. Alright thanks for the help so far, I'll get an extender for now and work on it once it arrives. Do you happen to know what size of stem it takes, is it a 0.9mm one?
  5. Ya it is a yuki dial/hands. I was thinking of getting a stem extender to make it a bit larger, do you think it has more problems than just the stem being too short?
  6. Nevermind I see how the movement stem/crown work now, I put joshs crown on the 2784 movements stem and stuffed it in. It however is too short I believe, as it runs in the time-set position but I cant push it in without screwing it in, and it stops running if I screw it in. Here it is so far: Also another question if anyone can help, my movement rolls around quite a bit how exactly is it secured to the case in a 2784? Can I make it a bit tighter?
  7. Oh ya, the joshs I got was his 99$ one. Damnit so thats the problem, I guess I have to buy a new crown then. Can anyone point me to ones that would work for this, would any 7mm rolex crown I can find on ebay probably work?
  8. Okay now my problem is the 2784 movement is not accepting josh's crown. It still accepts the movements original crown, do I need a different one?
  9. Oh sorry I was misinformed, I was under the impression ontop of pushing the button there was a screw that had to be unscrewed. As seen by number 3 in this article I found: http://www.pmwf.com/Watches/WatchSchool/WS%2011%20How%20to%20remove%20and%20replace%20a%20watch%20movement/WS%2011%20How%20to%20remove%20and%20replace%20a%20movt.htm If its just the little button this will be a lot easier than I thought, thanks for helping a newb out. Hopefully I never have to take a movement apart.
  10. Okay my crappy camera doesn't seem to be able to focus on the movement without being a blurry mess, though it does look exactly like this one I found online. Is the red circle the screw I need to loosen 1-1.5 turns? Also what constitutes a turn of a screw driver, is it 360 degrees?
  11. Oh nice, thanks for the fast reply. I am at my gfs house at the moment but I remember there being 2 screws at the end of the crown, I'll post pics of the movement in a few days once I'm at home. I shoulda probably thought to do that before making a post.
  12. Hey guys I need some help with a tudor snowflake I am making. I am using joshs 5512 case, a tudor 9411 dial/hands, I have a 2784 with date for the movement, and am looking at getting a genuine crown/tube. The problems I have are getting the 2784 movement out, I was wondering if theres a spring setting lever I need to unscrew before I push the pusher in and take the crown out. Also what crown I can buy to fit the case, I have been told its relatively easy to install once I have them but I need to know which one to get before I can even attempt to install. here is joshs case I have so far.
  13. Would something like these fit? http://cgi.ebay.com/BEZEL-INSERT-ROLEX-SUBMARINER-MILITARY-5517-1680-/310304838853?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item483f9c14c5 http://cgi.ebay.com/Bezel-Insert-5513-2-1680-Blue-blue-silver-Rolex-/230612626522?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35b1956c5a
  14. Oh thanks for the help guys, I'm relieved I didnt lose the gasket. Do you guys think the gasket is worth it? Will it definitely be better than just glue?
  15. Hey I took apart the bezel of the 1680 and it doesnt seem to have a rubber ring for wateverproofyness, did I misplace it or is it just waterproofed by glue? Also if it is waterproofed by glue which kind of glue should I use.
  16. I'm confused whats going on in this post, is it somehow the ops problem that the watch he got was DOA, and that it was bad for him to post anything about it?
  17. Ya I got a jacket from bergie that I sent back without a tracking number that they apparently never received after 4 months, I guess the moral is its definitely necessary to pay more to make sure it gets shipped unless you dont really care. Though I know it can be a [censored] off having to send a faulty product back and you dont want to spend even more money after spending so much initially, but nothing else you can do, just write a review and dont buy from them again.
  18. Thats nice and all until your the one that ends up getting screwed, these reviews exist to apply some slight force the company to review and regulate its policies. I've heard good things about dealers even in these boards and gotten screwed as well, I really wish I had some negatives reviews of what I may expect otherwise your left looking at only rosy fields..
  19. Ya it sucks when you pay money and dont receive anything, or when you receive something crappy not as pictured, which may as well be the same thing in my book. I'm sorry for you guys. Hope you can at least do something about it.
  20. Wow that thing is really convincing, nice work you'll have to make a vintagizing guide.
  21. Ah I see, I wonder why it didnt fit that guys 1680 from josh. Maybe it was a movement problem or something, though the guy sounded really good who built it so the dial would be the only problem I could forsee.
  22. I read this: That watch deal ended up not being built because the tudor dial doesnt fit josh's 1680. Am I missing something?
  23. Ya it sort of depends how authentic you want it to look, I mean you may actually be able to keep the crown on yukis.
  24. Sorry which are we looking at for the tudor base, the 5512 or 1680? And you mean the 98$ one?
