  7. Well here it is..my Breitling Navitimer SS band modded with brushed finish. My concerns in tackling this project were much greater than the actual work performed. I am personally very happy with the outcome and it gives me greater confidence for future mods. Thanks to everyone for the interest in this project and durng my search for information. Here we go... More to come.... DWSmoot
  8. Finally got around to posting some shots of my Navi Serie Speciale form Joshua I received a few weeks ago and the recent Bob strap received earlier this week. Really happy with both and the Bob strap adds alot. I am currenty working on brushing the SS band that came with the watch and will post more photos once complete... DWSmoot
  9. I did it dry washing with soap and water often during the process to be sure things the result was heading in the right direction...
  10. I started with light pressure and actually increased it being careful and found that a good amount of pressure worked well. Use a flat pencil eraser to lay the band on and it will stay in place quite well. I will post more pics of the entire band on the watch when complete. I am tempted to try the cas also....but not sure about that yet...
  11. I had actually remembered reading a post somewhere about these scotch pads. I was in the drugstore today and happened to notice them on the shelf. I had my Ultimate 45mm PO on that had a few light scratches on the clasp. I took the the pad off the shelf and rubbed it on the scrathces and it restored the brushed finish within a couple of minutes. I was amazed! I ahve been researching for the right material for a few weeks...who would have figured somehting so simple... I had already started the process on my Navi band with an fingernail emory board and was not hapy with the result. I bought the Scotch pads and tried it when I got home. This was the result of about 20 minutes of work on the band. Just brushed it back and forth keeping the strokes as straight as possible...really was not that difficult with the surface of tthe Scothbrite pad...I was also suprised it worked so well. The photos were actually taken on the pad as a background...
  12. Well I finally tried it. I brushed half of my Navi SS band. It came out alot better than I expected. I have also posted a picture of the material I used to do it in the last photo...I was really suprised it worked! Let me know what you think before I complete the other half and clasp... Quick pics...sorry for the quality And here is a shot with the simple amterial used... What do you think...
  13. Not sure of the source of the rep...have you seen better compared to the Gen?
  14. @ piratedzeus I did a good bit of research on this recently and purchased the 6-9-12 Serie Speciale in black dial from Joshua...very happy with it so far...got a black BOB strap for it and it was a gret addition. Here is some additional info for you that I came across: http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18466 DWSmoot
  15. I have currently found someone very reputable we all know that has offered to do the bracelet . But the case is another story due to the pushers, tubes, etc. I really wanted the entire watch to be brushed so I am still deciding but will more than likely get the bracelet done. I am waiting on a few more links for my new Navi from Josh and then will probably send it out for the service. I finally received my Bob strap for the Navi and wil sport it until teh SS bracelet is brushed...
  16. Just received my Navi Serie Speciale form Joshua this week. Love the watch! I am interested in getting the bracelet brushed similar to the gen of this model and not sure I want to tackle it myself a this point.
