  2. People asked for some more photos, here are a few more REALLY nasty quick ones. Sorry for the quality! Randy, do you remember the discussion we had a year ago about the different styles of Triplock crowns? This is what I was talking about.
  3. I've waited a long time to post this. Enjoy!
  4. A friend of mine asked me tonight if I had a source for a newer replacement bracelet for his gen 1665. He says the folded links bracelet falls apart too easily. I recommended a hollow middle links oyster, like Paul used to sell. Anyone have a lead on a genuine bracelet like this, or an alternative? Please let me know... I said barring any other solutions I'd send him a good hollow non-folded bracelet from my pile of parts. Thanks!
  5. Another one of "my" boys in my troop has made Eagle Scout! Tomorrow is his Eagle Court of Honor. I'm so proud of him! Let's hear it for Tim!!! Eagle Scouts Troop 215

  12. I was just out running the dog (yes, in the snow) and came across a friend of mine in his Jeep. He leaned on his arm, elbow hanging out the window, and I spied the famous steel bracelet. I glanced and saw red, and looked again (surreptitiously). It was a gen Red Sub, or the best darn rep I've ever seen. Folded links, ivory aged indices, huge date font, and crown guards to die for. Beautiful!!!
  13. Here's how we do it. Alaskan Fishing
  14. Our record for the most snowfall in a month has been broken. We received 283 inches of snow ... almost 24 feet ... in December 2006. We are on pace to pass our annual record of 1,116 inches set during the 1997-1998 winter season. That's 93 feet of snow.

  16. Can anyone identify this? Let's see who knows their history. No fair peeking.

There are a lot of DW Daytonas on here the last few days... I figured I'd post another shot I took just before I gave it away.
  18. Here's a bit of a storm at sea. Consider this is a 140 foot boat and the bow rail is 20' above the waterline.
  19. Ziggy does it again! I asked him to please remove the green crud from the dial and to mount the genuine tropic crystal I finally found. If you had seen how nasty the dial was before, you'd be astounded by this. He scraped off as much crud as he could safely get, and did a fantastic job. Enjoy!

My favorite thing! 11:00 pm - Sleeping on the bed! My favorite thing! Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary: Day 683 of my captivity: My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the floor. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. The audacity! There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage. Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow - but at the top of the stairs. I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded! The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe.... for now.
