  1. I haven't seen Shameless UK - but I loved the US version, WIlliam H Macy is brilliant

...also, I have no idea of the pikee dynamic - but I am well versed in the Chicago Southie

I started watching Misfits (based on these recs)

... really not bad - are there more than 2 seasons?

  2. Well, quite the education - thanks guys. I have finally decided to retire some of my jeans so I am going to need replacements.

I am going to be moving back to NY in a week or two if anyone wants to recommend a boutique

I really like the look of the Roy's, nudies as well

  3. Damn. Busted. :DIt's an ugly car by the way. Bugatti or not. I wouldn't have nerve to drive that thing... well, not without wearing a Batman suit anyway.

BT - in case you change your mind you can rent one for the bargain basement price of $25,000 a day; but you'll get your $160,000 deposit back when all goes well

Or you can just buy the rep. It's not a 1:1 or anything but you'll get just as many looks tooling around with it :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  4. Its definitely not beyond repair. You can adjust the balance spring to fine tune the rate. If you do some searching around you will find some instructions, but here is a picture to give you a better idea

That being said, 4 sec/min is a lot so you should probably get it serviced - which is a good idea with any movement anyways

  5. as usual... 500 usd for a perfect piece of [censored], or a vulgar piece of green metal...

the watch world -especially the Rolex Department- is full of anals, fags, idiots, posers, and much more,

and mono-culture is no good, just stay out of watches, add fantaisy in your day life, open your eyes, the world is so wide

    sorry,

    :whistling:

Who is this directed towards? Is this some sort of failed attempt at irony? Because it sounds as though you, who's SN happens to be 'Rolexaddict', are saying that rolex collectors are narrow-minded idiots

  6. I finally invested in my first DJ and I am planning on putting a leather strap on it. I will most likely be switching from strap to bracelet every now again. The DJ will look approximately like this

    rolex.jpg

I would love a gen rolex strap but I am not planning on investing that much right now. Right now I am leaning toward brown

Does anyone know of a good spot to get a (relatively) affordable leather strap? its a 36 mm case

    thanks in advance

    -P

  7. I've never been a fan of 005, but that being said, I can't really get over the picture of the brooklyn bridge. Just seems like such an odd thing to have engraved on your watch.

Also, wouldn't anyone familiar enough to call you out on the movement of your 005 also know that they only made 150 of the 318.

I guess I'll just put it in the category of things I will never understand - with women, cricket, and skinny jeans

  8. I have been eyeballing the Santos for sometime - in fact I think I am going to head to my local Cartier AD today to check it out - thanks for the rec

@PFGTR - Since I can't sell my HBB :black_eye: I am thinking of putting a gummy on it to see if that does the trick for me. I know this may be counter-intuitive, but after working with TAG's I have become disenchanted with them. Perhaps its like working at a brothel, but they just don't do it for me anymore. The straight carrera is really sharp though.

TAG adding the Day-Date carerra was one of there best additions a really beautiful piece...... unlike the Calibre 36 :whistling:

(BTW I have some TAG advert in the GD section I am auctioning for the forum, there is a poster of your Carerra available  )

I have never considered the railmaster though, another good call. Thanks!

  9. This past winter I moonlighted as a TAG dealer. While there I acquired a bit of marketing material that I really have no use for. With TT's permission I am offering these up for auction to support the forum.

100% of the money will be going directly to the forum - to alleviate any suspicions of chicanery. I will be paying for Priority shipping to the highest bidder (CONUS only guys, sorry)

Once I get word from the ADMIN that a donation was made I will ship. I plan on shipping this weekend, so I am going to end this guy Friday 05.20.2011 @ 00:00 EST (That's Midnight Thursday night for the mouth-breathers out there.)

I have an advert poster that was designed to be back lit(it was hung in a light box at the store. It is made of a thick clear plastic with the ad printed on to it. There is some wear from use

(I hung this on my window for effect, that's what the cross bars are)

The second is a black, leather-bound journal. It has the TAG logo embossed on the front. It is brand new and never used. These were given out with purchase of a watch and are not, nor ever were, available for individual purchase
