  1. Most of us have been wishing for a good rep of the 42mm Speedmaster Professional but the best in the market right now is with Lemania movement and has wrong subdial size and/or spacing. It's been a deadend for the rep hunt while most of us end up getting a gen to satisfy our urges.

    Or is it?

We already have the PO Chrono with correct spacing (http://www.1-pc8838.com/omse01027-planet-ocean-chrono-ssss-blkbezwht-7750-p-9797.html). The subdial spacing of the moonie is the same as the PO Chrono, so why not use the same movement mod and create a moonie rep? Why hasn't this been attempted yet?

  2. Hi! I've got a 6,58" wrist.. Do you think this watch is too big for me?

It depends on how you like to wear watches in general. There are slim built women these days sporting 40mm Daytonas and looking great with them. I don't see why a 42mm won't look good for you.

Great pics Seraphe, are you using some sort of filter/grain on the eariler pics. Looks great, really makes the dial pop.

Yes, I'm using a quasi-HDR filter off an iPhone app. Works great for me.

excellent photos. I really want one. I was wondering if you could tell me which wears higher the 42 or the 45mm? if anyone could post a comparison pic that would be great

Do you mean on the thickness? I'm sure they'd feel about the same, considering the width to thickness ratio being similar. I don't have a 45.5mm CrPO (yet) but I'm sure they are not that different in terms of 'height'.

  3. Just got mine love it Doing an oem crystal and something else Almost bought then until I realized only an ahole pays 6k for an omega non chrono auto then I bought the new jumbo white explorer instead The supposed pearl location flaw couldn't mean less to me. I owned 3gen POs each with the pearl in a incrementally diff location. The pearl on this one feels oem with a sapphire pane On the way to my watch smith now

Thanks for your photos. They just gave me confidence on the Titanium LM. I'd get it once the batch with better AR is available.
  4. After receiving my 42mm CrPO, I'm in for another: the 45.5mm Titanium.

However, when I looked long and hard at the dealer's pics, I can't justify the flaws (may be minor to some):

    8526943962_2b64248dea_b.jpg

Gen on top two and rep QC (from Josh's website) on botton two

    1. Pearl height: sticking out a little too much. Gen seem to stick out but not just as much.

    2. Pearl position: too low. Gen shows more center within the triangle.

    3. Ceramic bezel: not as glossy as gen. I wonder if this can be improved by Cape Cloth. Anyone can verify?

    4. AR: not as good as gen or 42mm. I was told the 2nd batch will have better AR.

Other than that, I can only guess the rest are true enough to the gen (except the movement, of course). If you have received one of these reps, please share it with us. Thanks.

Here's some pics of a gen for your enjoyment:

  5. Thanks. I love it to the max.

I have no knowledge about the AR quality or such, but I'd say the AR on this 42mm off the shelf looks amazing. My wife, who's a non-watch person, actually noticed this watch and commented it's very nice. I believe she's referring to the AR quality when she noticed the quality of the dial while outdoor. Needless said, it's amazing especially indoor.

I'm actually waiting for the 45.5mm Ti version so hopefully the 2nd batch can sort out the AR part and the height of the pearl.

  6. Further from my earlier post... Part of the enjoyment with new watches is when you snap numerous photos of it and like what you see on screen (computer or smartphones). My CPO 42mm + iPhone5 frenzy continues...

For those who have accustomed to 45.5mm PO or first-timers on PO but can't decide between 42mm or 45.5, I have 7" wrist and I find the 42mm more comfortable albeit slightly less presence than the 45.5mm UPO. For my wrist size, the 45.5mm wears loosely due to the wider than lugs protrusion of the bracelet endlinks or the curvature of rubber strap over the wrist.

A few more photos, this time indoor...

  7. F'n eh! That is awesome. I really need to take on an organization project in the walk in.

    Thanks!

I'd do a proper walk in if space allows. Similar to my choice of watches, I'd like to keep my home deco uncluttered.

That is absolutely awesome seraphe :inverted: very nicely done mate, and some great watches too !

Thanks, mate. Too many tries and thoughts into my choices over the past 8 years into this hobby.

Gorgeous set-up. I use the stealth storage approach. If you store them in enough different places and in different boxes it is possible your wife does not figure out the magnitude of your collection. :)

If you have a wife who loves bags and shoes as much as mine does, I'd recommend you take the opportunity and be upfront about it. Let her build her bag cabinet and you'd get this.

  8. Incredible, no stone left un turned in your quest for your perfect monochrome steel sports watch. I bow down!

    P.S Great storage solution too!

Thanks! And the quest continues. If I'm out of wishlist, I'd send some to be improved.
  9. That's what I call a wardrobe, impressive collection you've got there mate! Those watchboxes (Mitch & Marc) look great too. Where did you buy those?

    Cheers!

    Thanks!

Got them mostly online. The CF Diplomat boxes were bought off eBay, the black piano wood Caddy Bay was from Amazon, and the Mitch & Marc was a gift from my father.

  10. Gave myself a little watch storage cabinets when rebuilding our home storage system for the renovation. There are two cabinets with pull out shelves - one side tall and the other short.

    This is the short side...

    8510578804_3c09c5c8e8_b.jpg

And this is the tall side. There are still unoccupied shelves with enough space for 20-watch boxes, currently used for my watch-related books.

How did I convince the missus to let me build this? I let her build half a wardrobe of cabinets for her handbags.

  11. Definition of 'wokky'... refer to pic. Compared to PT's noob version, the rehaut are not cylindrical (straight down) like it should be. You can see it more clearly with the QC pics from the two.

    7835489062_f14c01614e_b.jpg

Having said this, we're not to say noob's version has no flaw. The obvious ones include the wrong fat hands, the curved top triangle and thin bezel markers.
