  1. I don't care much about the history of the brand. I only care about the design, features and purpose of the products. History is history. The current new designs have no impact on the political or sociological states of the past... it can't, not unless we can transfer the profits back in time to support the war.

Current designs can only change the world tomorrow... not the past.

  2. Daylight from Andrew (Trusty) came through!

With all the hype over this new version with A7753 movement, I was aesthetically more concern about the visual imperfections than the movement itself. I wrote to Andrew about my concerns and he assured me my order will be thoroughly checked, coupled with QC pics for my final approval, before sending.

And so it did come through... without all the common complains in other earlier posts of their new A7753 Daylights.

    • CG lever almost flushed to the curve of the CG
    • CG lever not chopped on the sides
    • CG pin flushed to the CG top side

The only imperfection, I would say, is only on the bracelet... especially on the end links and the gap between the case and the link... but not a major issue. I can live with it.

  3. Yes, the lever is flush when the CG is unscrewed and I understand that what you are suggesting is an option for fixing it. However, I am still trying to understand how this is supposed to work. Isn't the purpose of the spring-loaded crown that it can move and press the gasket tight when the CG lever is being closed?

I think I understand your ponder...

Does the crown move inwards into the case when you lock the lever on the CG? If so, it is just a little but insufficient to not push the lever outwards from the CG?

    I see 3 possible solutions -

    1. If the crown does not move enough, shorten the stem and/or change the gasket

    2. If the crown does not move at all, check the construction of crown tube vs crown. Perhaps need to trim part of crown base.

    3. Change the lining in CG pin hole to something harder... perhaps of nylon.

  4. I shouldn't reveal the price I paid Aaron for it. Perhaps you should just ask him personally for the price.

I really like the black croc grain... but I do find the bund pad a little too wide. I may ask Mr. Tan to do another one and keep this for a spare.

John Mayer? Fake? I would think he's even paying too much for his gens.

  5. I've taken a liking of the Neighborhood Croc Bund Straps that John Mayer regularly wears with some of his Rollies.

    John Mayer's Neighborhood straps:

I like especially how it looks on the SD, so I asked HK Tan to make me one and put my SSD on it...

It is not a 1:1 rep in terms of shape and dimensions, but I specially asked for a 16mm buckle width to fit a Rolex buckle.

    Great work, Aaron! THANKS!!!

  6. Congratulations Seraphe , I think its time for me to order one !

You should, while it's still available. Who knows when WM9 will cease production when they get too busy with new projects

Why would you buy a gen when you can have virtually the same thing for 10% of the price. If these reps were readily available Rolex would never stay in business.

These reps are readily available. Waiting time is one month, which is already so much shorter waiting time than most new Rolexes from AD.

Who knows... if there is enough demand, BK might be able to hold stock while it lasts.

    thanks for the post, seraphe
