In this price range you will not see the best reps from AP.....but why not the one you showed.

Allthough I would go a bit "less complicated"....I don´t like the fake-gold, fake-chrono, fake-tourbillon watches.

We saw the release of the 005 recently...should not take to long that the zero will pop up (soem weeks I guess).

....problem here is the conversion kit.

The endlinks you will get from APBAnds straps are very expensive and they will not fit the rep without modifications.

The endlinks you will get from the cheaper RO rep versions might not fit as well, at least you will not loose 400$ as those thingies only cost below 100$ with strap and deployant and the endlinks....maybe the dealers will only sell a complete watch (those 160$ cheapos)...worth a try.

I have all my AP´s done by "Domi" in Germany....look out for his posts here on the forum.

A full service of the movement is around 140 EURO (120GBP, 190USD).

Other option is .... sell your dead watch to me an as I am allways on the hunt for ROO´s to use in projects...let me know what you have,

The SURVIVOR is a stunning watch....soooo close to gen and much more comfartable to wear than it appears to be.

I love my SURVIVORS and wear one on a genuine croc and the other one on the rubber.

Sorry no comparison shot at hand, but I second the members above: the RO wears bigger than the 39mm diameter it meassures.

So today I got the message from my dealer!

They sent me a wrong track No. and they never checked this number, I asked them 4 times to doublecheck that number they gave me, they always replied "just be patient some more days!"

Today I got the correct track No. for the shipment from my dealer....6 weeks later!!! In the meantime the watch sits at the postal office for 10 days and was then returned to sender....I had no chance to check, the watch was there, just some hundred meters away....arrrgh, bloody fault they made, why did they not doublecheck.

Anyway, now the watch was sent back to China 6 days ago....and what do I get? Another month of waiting as the dealer wants to receive the watch back first and have it reshipped then.

And I was among the first that ordered/paid for this watch.

I am really angry now. But there is noone really to blame.

Watches sent by EMS will always be checked by customs.

I agreed to wait a week longer before we try again.

P.S.: I had enough time to make my mind up on the strap to use, I assume that the beauty of the case, finish, color requires a simple strap....so I will go with rubber....or I will order a dark-grey calf leather strap from APBands.
