Just to make sure we recall the translation of WIS correctly:
Watch Idiot Savant is the inofficial version of those three letters ... not to find in Wickiwhereever but stated on a well known watch forum several times!
Dr. Theo
.... and I allways change straps on my watches untill I find the best combination; after thats done I let them stay in the box!
-
I will need to have a look in my stfrap box and through some AP ROO straps on the market to fund the Don Ramon.
Dr. Theo
-
... right on. I will have to bother Angus a little bit more to source a case (or complete watch for me!)
Dr. Theo
-
So the carbon parts or complete cases are rare like hense teeth now??!!

Wearing a rep or a gen (no matter) I allways tell the peeps that my watches are reps; much easier as they do not ask any more questions like "how much is it?" by then.
Dr. Theo
.... but most of them know I have a big collection from both sides
-
I wear the AP RO to the office ... shiny enough but yet dressy.

Some specs of the gen:

Case style: Royal Oak "standard size" - 36mm
Case material: Stainless Steel
Comments: Limited Eition of 450 pieces in SS, LE 50 pcs in YG.
Wear it in good health,
Dr. Theo
OK, saw the caseback ... better closed than seeing the crappy movement
P.S.: Can we see a caseback-shot please!!!???
-
Due to the movement used, we cannot expect a thinner case/caseback anyway!
I would get this one!

Bead-blasting will get the PVD off but will also change the surface (brushed and polished) of the watch whereas chemical removing won´t touch the existing finish.
It would be more easy to approach one of our trusted dealers and ask them to source an EoD case BEFORE the PVD will be processed!
Dr. Theo
P.S.: Maybe Angus will be able?!

Oha ... old thread this is.
My obesrvation on the MARCUS: the red is actually BLOOD RED and quite similar to gen. Only the usual flaws and; with this color combination even more flashy flaw ... the color on the numbers need to be filled and sunken in (concave) .... the rep has them filled but raised (convex).
Anyway, I would go for the rosegold version on this. But if you need to go for this combination I can suggest the LAS VEGAS to you.
Look at my thread here on RG:
http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=141511
Or here on RWG:
Dr. Theo
P.S.: I ask to pin my write-up on RWG as well but never got any response.

For that price I don´t care!
Dr. Theo
-
Of course ... there is a tiny little screw on the clasp, you need to unscrew (take good care of it, they tend to vanish ) and now you can release the pin that holds one side of the strap ... ready to change!

Dear All,
just came accross Angus´ website with the monthly new arrivals for October 2012 and while looking closer to page 9 I noticed the stated size (diameter) of the models posted ... 41mm Jumbos ...HELLO???
Is this a bigger size really or is it just a marketing gag as you can meassure those cases differently and get different sizes??!!
So who knows about this new released piece? Size really 41mm?
Allthough not accurate or Ultimate or 1:1 .... I LOVE THE SIZE!

I praid and insisted to do the "old-case-model" but no dealer listened and their answer was: "...it´s not popular enough!".
So as W. stated above, only chance is buying the EoD and remove the PVD and have the case rebrushed.
