  1. Dear All,

I tried to find something here on the boards but only results were my own posts where I asked this question :D

SO, anyone knows about an IWC Big Ingenieur Chronograph in the making, any rumors, any factory plans yet???

Please answer with all you know...thx

    Theo

  2. ....aha....that sounds better.

But you are absolutely right, we wear our PAM´s on brown straps and have black dials in 98%....looks ok.

AP ROO is a different story for me, it´s no military piece.....I´d say, a hornback on a PAM .. :yuk: ...

My strap suggestions for different AP´s:

DIVER - rubber, carbon fibre, kevlar

ROO simple colors like BLACK, WHITE, SILVER or GREY THEMES - simple leather straps like calf or shark, simple croc in dark color as well.

ROO in PVD black - black croc, black hornback, black calf ... can half a contrasting s[censored]ch.

ROO in Gold - brown hornback strap with light colored dials (cream, white, silver) and black hornback strap with dark dials (black, grey)

    Just my 0.02$

  3. This thread is worthless w/o pics

I would go for a Big Ingenieur, allthough this rep is far away from accurate but would fit wonderful on an 8" wrist....a grey diale with working power reserve should be a good addition for you.

    Good luck,

    Theo

  4. Thx for posting your pics.

The SAFARI needs a brown hornback strap (or at least a brown croc strap). I just cannot connect SAFARI and a ss bracelet....it just doesn´t fit.

Anyway, there are some strap makers doing nice hornbacks....HKTan has super-nice hornbacks but his fitment is not 100%. You might ask ORLOFF straps if he is capeable of doing hornbacks, or have him make a brown croc with ecru stitch (reasonable prices and a 100% fit).

But don´t forget to get yourself the endlinks with bars and caps to connect the strap, the endlinks to the case!

    Wish you luck,

    Theo

  5. Any ROO would be too big for your wrist if you cannot pull the SAFARI.....but have you really tested it?

The diameter of the watch is 42mm and yes I know, it wears a bit bigger. But anyway, the watch should be wearable for wristsizes 6.2" up to 7.5".

You might also try a RO that is 36mm or the RO Jumbo with 39mm...both available with white dial, and there is also a RO with grey dial...not a chrono and no hornback strap but the look is Audemars Piguet Royal Oak if thats what you are looking for.

    Cheers

    Theo
