Good catch Z.
I was eyeing on that one as well but fear the price tag behind it ... nearly a new ROO can be had for that.
But anyway, now we have someone to contact Angus and send him detailed pics and dimensions for a rep

this thread is worthless without pics

mmmh...what a shame, it´s such a beauty!
Anyway, just read about a new Ingy beeing in the makes....or is it just storytelling (over at RG).

Dear All,
I tried to find something here on the boards but only results were my own posts where I asked this question
SO, anyone knows about an IWC Big Ingenieur Chronograph in the making, any rumors, any factory plans yet???
Please answer with all you know...thx

Was wondering if it is worth to top up 70USD to get the Gen White color band? Since AP band is selling at 139.
This is deffo worth it ... the APBands "white" rubber strap is cream colored and not pure white, so it looks kind of dirty on a white dialed ROO.

....aha....that sounds better.
But you are absolutely right, we wear our PAM´s on brown straps and have black dials in 98%....looks ok.
AP ROO is a different story for me, it´s no military piece.....I´d say, a hornback on a PAM .. ...
My strap suggestions for different AP´s:
DIVER - rubber, carbon fibre, kevlar
ROO simple colors like BLACK, WHITE, SILVER or GREY THEMES - simple leather straps like calf or shark, simple croc in dark color as well.
ROO in PVD black - black croc, black hornback, black calf ... can half a contrasting s[censored]ch.
ROO in Gold - brown hornback strap with light colored dials (cream, white, silver) and black hornback strap with dark dials (black, grey)
Just my 0.02$

If you like to send me a PM....I do have some straps for the Shaq in my AP-strap box that can be offered for below 100$.

Only thing ... you need the screwpull-holder (stand) unless you have a third hand
Theo

.... black and brown never astounded.

I would go for a Big Ingenieur, allthough this rep is far away from accurate but would fit wonderful on an 8" wrist....a grey diale with working power reserve should be a good addition for you.
Good luck,

Thx for sharing..... I have one of these as well...allthough I got the PAUL´s version with a bit more accurate case.
Enjoy it....Theo

Mmmh, I cannot warm with this watch. I tryied one on my wrist some months ago while meating some watch-nuts....absolutely not my style....
- too small
- too normal
- covered rubber strap looks silly on this watch
Good replication though...but not my cup of tea.

Rumour has it they are OOS atm?!
Hope Angus still has some lying around.
Theo

OOS....thats no good news, hopefully they will stock watches again. I haven´t seen too many new watches lately.....I am lusting for any new AP model.
Time to dig into my watchboxes and see what I can through on the market
Cheers mates...

Thx for posting your pics.
The SAFARI needs a brown hornback strap (or at least a brown croc strap). I just cannot connect SAFARI and a ss bracelet....it just doesn´t fit.
Anyway, there are some strap makers doing nice hornbacks....HKTan has super-nice hornbacks but his fitment is not 100%. You might ask ORLOFF straps if he is capeable of doing hornbacks, or have him make a brown croc with ecru stitch (reasonable prices and a 100% fit).
But don´t forget to get yourself the endlinks with bars and caps to connect the strap, the endlinks to the case!
Wish you luck,
Theo

Any ROO would be too big for your wrist if you cannot pull the SAFARI.....but have you really tested it?
The diameter of the watch is 42mm and yes I know, it wears a bit bigger. But anyway, the watch should be wearable for wristsizes 6.2" up to 7.5".
You might also try a RO that is 36mm or the RO Jumbo with 39mm...both available with white dial, and there is also a RO with grey dial...not a chrono and no hornback strap but the look is Audemars Piguet Royal Oak if thats what you are looking for.
Cheers

Thx for the pix.....I still stick to my used and abused V2 Diver....today I wear my Diver 4000, a killer watch.

I got my set directly from the MASTER himself....have to check in Angus´ website and see what he charges.

Good choice, I do have a silver/white one (MBW Pauls edition) and a blue one (Josh)....love both as cool office-watches.

Thx for showing W.
Mine will be with me mid next week....looking forward to it now.
